Quarterbacks

Rock Star Free Agent

Case Keenum, Minnesota Vikings
Keenum continued to play well on Thanksgiving, throwing for 282 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for a score. In his last four games, Keenum has thrown for at least 280 yards with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions. Keenum gets the Falcons, Panthers, Bengals and Packers to close out the fantasy season. With the waiver wire drying up, Keenum is the top quarterback option remaining in many leagues. If you’re struggling with a quarterback like Dak Prescott right now, pick up the hot Keenum for fantasy playoffs.
Availability: Owned in ~ 50% of leagues.
FAAB: $$
Forecast: Keenum is a Top 15 quarterback for fantasy playoffs.

Jameis Winston, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Winston has missed three straight games with a shoulder injury. He’ll resume throwing on Wednesday and if everything goes well, Winston could be back in the starting lineup this week versus the Packers. Winston wasn’t having a great season before the injury with 10 touchdowns and six interceptions. However, with games coming up against the Packers, Lions, Falcons and Panthers, Winston is worth grabbing if you need help at quarterback.
Availability: Owned in ~ 40% of leagues.
FAAB: $-$$
Forecast: Winston is a QB2/streaming option for fantasy playoffs.

1 Week Plug & Play

Josh McCown, New York Jets
McCown threw for 307 yards and three scores in a losing effort against the Panthers on Sunday. He’s been a strong streaming option all year and this week McCown gets a Chiefs defense allowing the ninth most fantasy points to quarterbacks. McCown is back on the streaming radar this week for owners in need of a quarterback.
Availability: Owned in ~ 30% of leagues.
FAAB: $
Forecast: McCown is a streaming option for Week 13.

On the Radar: Jimmy Garoppolo (10%), Brett Hundley (10%), Tyrod Taylor (50%)

Running Backs

Rock Star Free Agent

Jamaal Williams, Green Bay Packers
Williams is still available in roughly 40 percent of fantasy leagues. That won’t be the case after Williams’ big game Sunday night against the Steelers. He rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown, while also catching four balls for 69 yards and a score. Aaron Jones and Ty Montgomery may return at some point but the bottom line is they’re both hurt right now. Williams has gotten 20, 18 and 21 carries in his last three games. He’ll be in line for another heavy workload this Sunday in a favorable matchup against the Buccaneers.
Availability: Owned in ~ 60% of leagues.
FAAB: $$-$$$
Forecast: Williams is an RB2/Flex play.

Rex Burkhead, New England Patriots
Burkhead is still available in about half of fantasy leagues right now. Dion Lewis is the Patriots top fantasy back but Burkhead has eclipsed James White as the second-best option. Against the Dolphins, Burkhead rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. He also caught a touchdown pass. Burkhead has scored at least 15 fantasy points in three of his last four games in PPR leagues. The Patriots play the Bills twice, Dolphins and Steelers in their next four games. Burkhead will have plenty of opportunities to rack up fantasy points over the next month.
Availability: Owned in ~ 50% of leagues.
FAAB: $$
Forecast: Burkhead is a Flex option for the rest of the year.

Injury Replacement

Jacquizz Rodgers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Doug Martin left Sunday’s game with a concussion. Rodgers came in and rushed eight times for 31 yards. However, he did lose two short scoring opportunities to Peyton Barber. Rodgers will get the start this week versus the Packers if Martin is out. The one word always associated with Rodgers is “volume.” He gets a lot of carries but his upside is limited. Earlier this year he got 40 carries in three games when Martin was suspended. Rodgers gained 165 yards and scored once. He does get a good matchup against the Packers this week, so Rodgers will be a deeper Flex option if he gets the start.
Availability: Owned in ~ 10% of leagues.
FAAB: $
Forecast: Rodgers is a low-end Flex play if Martin is out this week.

1 Week Plug & Play/Grab & Stash

Kenyan Drake, Miami Dolphins
Drake was splitting touches with Damien Williams but Williams left Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury. Drake gained 47 yards and scored a touchdown against the Patriots. He’s scored in two of his last three games. Williams is unlikely to play this week, so Drake will get a majority of touches versus the Broncos. Denver’s defense is tough against the run but the Broncos do allow receptions to running backs. Drake is in the starting conversation this week.
Availability: Owned in ~ 60% of leagues.
FAAB: $$
Forecast: Drake is a low-end RB2/Flex option as long as Williams is out.

Austin Ekeler, San Diego Chargers
Ekeler is more of a stash for fantasy playoffs but he also has some standalone flex appeal in PPR leagues. He’s not a threat to Melvin Gordon right now but Ekeler has scored at least 10 fantasy points in PPR formats in four of his last five games. Expect Ekeler to continue to play a role in the Chargers offense moving forward. At the very least, he’s a valuable handcuff to Gordon during fantasy playoffs.
Availability: Owned in ~ 60% of leagues.
FAAB: $-$$
Forecast: Ekeler is a Flex option in deeper leagues and a stash for fantasy playoffs.

On the Radar: Peyton Barber (1%), Devontae Booker (40%), James Conner (5%), Mike Davis (1%), Rod Smith (15%), Terron Ward (1%)

Wide Receivers

Rock Star Free Agent

Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams
Kupp is still floating around on some waiver wires. He should be gobbled up if you play in a PPR league. Kupp has seen at least seven targets and caught six, six and eight passes in his last three games. On Sunday with Robert Woods injured, Kupp caught 8 of 11 targets for 116 yards. He’s also been by far the Rams top red zone receiver. Kupp has been targeted in the red zone 17 times this year. Kupp should be owned in most leagues with playoffs coming up.
Availability: Owned in ~ 60% of leagues.
FAAB: $$-$$$
Forecast: Kupp is a WR3 with Woods sidelined.

1 Week Plug & Play/Grab & Stash

Josh Doctson, Washington Redskins
It feels like the 10th straight week Doctson has been in this article. He’s still not putting up huge fantasy numbers but Doctson caught his fourth touchdown of the season on Thursday and he’s playing more snaps now with Terrelle Pryor injured. Doctson gets a favorable matchup this week versus the leaky Cowboys secondary. He’s worth a look in deeper leagues and Doctson is also a nice stash for your playoff run.
Availability: Owned in ~ 50% of leagues.
FAAB: $-$$
Forecast: Doctson is a WR4 for Week 13.

Grab & Stash

Josh Gordon, Cleveland Browns
Gordon is eligible to play this week. It will be his first game since 2014 and Gordon hasn’t scored a touchdown since 2013. He’s also returning to one of the worst offenses in the NFL. Gordon is a phenomenal athlete who could help fantasy owners right away but keep expectations in check. The Browns quarterback situation is still arguably the worst in the NFL.
Availability: Owned in ~ 60% of leagues.
FAAB: $-$$
Forecast: Gordon is a WR4 for fantasy playoffs.

On the Radar: Corey Coleman (40%), Corey Davis (50%), Dontrelle Inman (10%), Zay Jones (15%), Josh Reynolds (1%)

Tight End

1 Week Plug & Play/Grab & Stash

Rickey Seals-Jones, Arizona Cardinals
Seals-Jones proved his Week 11 breakout performance wasn’t a fluke. Seals-Jones caught four passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. He has seven receptions for 126 yards and three touchdowns in his last two games. Seals-Jones played with Blaine Gabbert on Arizona’s scout team and the two seem to have a connection. With quality tight ends hard to come by in fantasy football, Seals-Jones is worth adding for the stretch run.
Availability: Owned in ~ 2% of leagues.
FAAB: $-$$
Forecast: Seals-Jones is a streaming option for Week 13 and fantasy playoffs.

On the Radar: Charles Clay (30%), O.J. Howard (30%)

Kickers

1 Week Plug & Play

Matt Prater, Detroit Lions
Prater has made 14 field goals in his last five games. Six of those kicks have come from 40+ yards. Prater has scored at least eight points in eight games this season. The Ravens haven’t given up a ton of fantasy points to kickers this year but that’s because Baltimore has three shutouts. The Lions should be able to move the ball on Sunday, giving Prater scoring opportunities. Don’t shy away from him.
Availability: Owned in ~ 60% of leagues.
FAAB: $
Forecast: Prater is a Top 10 kicker for Week 13.

On the Radar: Phil Dawson (15%)

Defense/Specials Teams

Rock Star Free Agent

Los Angeles Chargers
One week after picking off Nathan Peterman five times, the Chargers put up another strong fantasy performance against the Cowboys. Los Angeles’ defense allowed just six points, recorded two sacks, two interceptions and scored a touchdown. They now have 14 sacks and 10 interceptions over the last five games. The Chargers have the Browns, Redskins, Chiefs and Jets remaining during the fantasy season. Grab them if you need a defense.
Availability: Owned in ~ 40% of leagues.
FAAB: $-$$
Forecast: The Chargers are a Top 10 fantasy defense for the rest of the year.

1 Week Plug & Play/Grab & Stash

Tennessee Titans
The Titans defense dominated a Colts offense Sunday that allows the most fantasy points to team defenses. Tennessee finished with eight sacks and a fumble recovery. The Titans defense has been solid versus bad offenses this year. They have a favorable stretch coming up against the Texans, Cardinals, and 49ers. That’s a second-string quarterback, a third string quarterback and potentially Jimmy Garoppolo in a new offense. The Titans defense will be a starting option until they face the Rams in Week 16.
Availability: Owned in ~ 30% of leagues.
FAAB: $
Forecast: The Titans are a Top 12 defense for the next three weeks.

On the Radar: Washington Redskins (20%)
