QB | RB | WR | TE | Movement Analysis

NOTE: These player rankings track a player's value for the remainder of the season and are intended to be used as a tool, not necessarily a definitive guide to player valuation. The scoring system is performance PPR. There is no exact science behind season-long rankings, considering all of the variables and situational uncertainties at work.

Quarterback movement

Getting sacked 200 times aside, Dak Prescott's remaining schedule is friendly. Consider his placement somewhat fluid and trending south, especially if left tackle Tyron Smith cannot return in a hurry.

Quarterbacks with quality matchups: Marcus Mariota (4th best), Blake Bortles (1st), Brock Osweiler (10th) ... two-thirds of that group isn't reliable in any sense.

Conversely, Josh McCown's schedule stinks (31st), and he's already on thin ice after a career's worth of evidence that he has played above his head this season. Matt Ryan's schedule also is suspect (24th), and the same can be for Matthew Stafford. The major difference: Stafford is the Lions' offense until proven otherwise.

Tom Brady, Jared Goff and Carson Wentz all technically face negative matchups but have earned the benefit of the doubt.

Running back movement

Most of the moves at running back were reactionary to injuries, poor performances, and minor shuffling within tiers.

A few situations to watch: Rob Kelley is out a few weeks, at least, and Samaje Perine will be given every shot to see if he can be "the guy" going into 2018.

It was a little surprising Darren McFadden wasn't involved in the Week 10 plans, but it could change with the way Prescott was punished. McFadden is a sound pass protector and could see more third-down action.

Ty Montgomery could return this week, although it seems hasty. Jamaal Williams heads up a few notches and will see some action either way. He's a fringe fantasy play even with positive matchups, however.

Wide receiver movement

Players who could have a stronger than expected close to their fantasy seasons: Marqise Lee (4th best), Jeremy Maclin (2nd), Rishard Matthews (6th), Brandon LaFell (1st), and John Brown (7th).

Questionable situations: Doug Baldwin and Julio Jones both have rankings in the bottom five of upcoming schedules. Miami's outlook is 30th. It's hard to feel optimism about the Cowboys (26th), Panthers (32nd) and Jets' (27th) receiving options.

For anyone wondering, Dede Westbrook remains unlisted. He has missed so much time and still isn't a lock to return. His future is bright, but making any notable impact in 2017 is unlikely.

Tight end movement

Rather quiet on the tight end front. Houston's C.J. Fiedorowicz could be worth a look for desperate gamers. Greg Olsen is on the verge of returning, as well.
