Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) is questionable to return to the Week 11 game Sunday, Nov. 18, with an elbow injury and was replaced by Blaine Gabbert to start the third quarter.

Huddle Up: Rough news for Mariota and his fantasy owners as the Titans' QB was just starting to pick up some steam in recent weeks. Mariota also suffered an elbow injury in Week 1 and wound up missing a start, but it's unknown if the latest injury is related in any way.

  • Posted: 11/11/2018 4:51pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota completed 16-of-24 passes for 228 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 10 game against the New England Patriots while running for 21 yards.

Huddle Up: Mariota gained a little confidence in Dallas in the Week 9 road victory, and now he has back-to-back games with two or more total touchdowns for the first time this season. He is still more of a QB2 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 11 on the road against the Indianapolis Colts.

  • Posted: 11/5/2018 7:35pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota completed 21-of-29 passes for 240 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 9 game against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday, Nov. 5, and he also rushed for 32 yards and a score.

Huddle Up: Mariota might want to move to an NFC East team. He also had two touchdowns and one rushing score in an overtime win against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 30. He has one passing touchdowns in no rushing scores in his other five contests. It will be much tougher next week when the Patriots pay a visit to the Music City. Mariota remains a QB2 despite this solid outing.

  • Posted: 10/31/2018 11:54pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota has regained feeling in his fingers and has started practicing without the glove he's used since injuring his elbow in Week 1; an injury that caused numbness in fingers on his throwing hand.

Huddle Up: That figures to be good news for Mariota, whose passing numbers have been abysmal this season, averaging fewer than 200 yards passing per game and managing just three touchdown strikes all season. He's not someone to start this week, but if you have roster space and are looking for an interesting upside option Mariota could be worth stashing on the bench.

  • Posted: 10/21/2018 9:26am ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota went 24-for-32 for 237 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7. He also rushed for 38 yards on seven carries during the game.

Huddle Up: Mariota played better this week than he did the previous two weeks but is still not posting great numbers. He will be facing the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9 but probably can be benched in most leagues.

  • Posted: 10/14/2018 8:59pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota completed 10 of his 15 passes for 117 yards, rushed twice for 25 yards and was sacked 11 times in a 21-0 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6.

Huddle Up: Mariota was under pressure all game, and he now has just three total scores all year. Even with his running ability, he can't be trusted as a fantasy starter right now.

  • Posted: 10/7/2018 1:02pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota completed just 14-of-26 passes for 129 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills and he added two runs for 10 yards.

Huddle Up: It was an ugly afternoon for the Titans offense, as they struggled in all facets of the game while Mariota turned it over once through the air and his receivers had two fumbles lost. Mariota and Tennessee will look to rebound in Week 6 against the visiting Baltimore Ravens.

  • Posted: 10/5/2018 1:00pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

Huddle Up: Mariota is working his way back from his elbow injury and was able to throw for 344 yards last week. He should have a favorable matchup this week and can be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in some deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 10/4/2018 1:10pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) put in a full practice Thursday, Oct. 4.

Huddle Up: After an impressive bounce-back performance in a crucial win last week, Mariota must now be considered in the starting fantasy quarterback discussion. He draws a favorable matchup with the Buffalo Bills and has the added bonus of rushing ability. He's run for 112 yards and a touchdown in three games thus far.

  • Posted: 10/3/2018 4:41pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 3.

Huddle Up: Mariota threw for 344 yards and two touchdowns last week and will have a favorable matchup this week. He is not a must-start option but could be a low-end No. 1 quarterback or bye week replacement in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 4:46pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota completed 30-of-43 passes for 344 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles and he ran 10 times for 46 yards and a score.

Huddle Up: Mariota made his first start since Week 1 after leaving that game due to an elbow injury, and he recorded his first touchdowns of the season. It appears safe to plug him back into the active fantasy lineup in all leagues heading into Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills.

  • Posted: 9/28/2018 1:21pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 28, and is not on the injury report for Week 4.

Huddle Up: Mariota came off the bench in Week 3 but not throw a lot of passes because of his injury. He probably will be able to throw more often this week but may still be limited by his elbow. Owners in all leagues should avoid him this week.

  • Posted: 9/27/2018 1:32pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) participated fully in practice Thursday, Sept. 27.

Huddle Up: Mariota will give it another go with his elbow this week, but that doesn't mean he should be plugged into starting lineups right away. Give him at least a week to make sure he's legitimately healthy and can produce without aggravation.

  • Posted: 9/26/2018 4:11pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 26.

Huddle Up: Mariota has been named the starting quarterback for the Week 4 game but may not be able to make all of the throws because of his elbow injury. Owners should be able to find better options for their lineups and can keep Mariota on the bench.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 12:55pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota went 12-for-18 for 100 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3. He also rushed for 51 yards on seven carries during the game.

Huddle Up: Mariota did not start the game because of his elbow injury but likely will be the starting quarterback next week because of Blaine Gabbert's injury. Owners probably should avoid Mariota until he is completely recovered from his injury.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 8:55am ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) is officially active for the team's Week 3 game.

Huddle Up: Mariota is still having problems with the nerves in his elbow, so he will be splitting time with Blaine Gabbert. Owners should avoid Mariota until he is fully recovered from his injury.

  • Posted: 9/20/2018 1:18pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 20.

Huddle Up: Mariota may be active for the Week 3 game but probably will continue to share time with Blaine Gabbert. He should be avoided in all leagues this week and is only a No. 2 fantasy quarterback when he is healthy.

  • Posted: 9/19/2018 11:44pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) is still experiencing tingling in two of his fingers, which is the result of an injured nerve in his elbow. Mariota is currently experimenting with wearing a glove to improve his grip on the football.

Huddle Up: The fact that Mariota is still having tingling in his fingers a week-plus after the injury is concerning, and with a hard-nosed Jaguars defense on the docket for Sunday it makes sense for Mariota to stay on the bench, at least for fantasy purposes.

  • Posted: 9/17/2018 4:06pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) continues to receive treatment on his ailing elbow. He was unable to play in Week 2 against the Houston Texans, as he could not grip the ball properly in pregame warmups. 'We will see where he is on Wednesday,' head coach Mike Vrabel said Monday, Sept. 17. 'I think there are a lot of possibilities. The treatment that he's doing could help, but it could be something that gets better overnight. That's where we are at.'

Huddle Up: Mariota did not play Sunday, but Blaine Gabbert did enough to help his team to victory. Gabbert would get the nod in Week 3 at Jacksonville if Mariota cannot go, but he neither is a particularly attractive fantasy option against the strong Jags defense.

  • Posted: 9/15/2018 9:29pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) still cannot grip the ball normally, a source said late Saturday, Sept. 15. The team is still trying to decide whether Mariota or QB Blaine Gabbert will start in Week 2 against the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: Mariota will be a game-time decision, likely having his fate sealed during pre-game warmups. He is an extremely risky fantasy play, so leave him on the bench and find a streaming option with a favorable matchup if you do not have a reserve. Cleveland's Tyrod Taylor or Philadelphia's Nick Foles might be suitable replacements.

  • Posted: 9/14/2018 2:17pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 14, and is listed as questionable for Week 2.

Huddle Up: Mariota may be able to play in Week 2, but head coach Mike Vrabel said Blaine Gabbert likely will also play against the Houston Texans. Owners in all leagues should keep Mariota on the bench this week.

  • Posted: 9/13/2018 1:39pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 13.

Huddle Up: Mariota was downgraded from full participation to limited Thursday, so owners should monitor the situation to see if he is in any danger of missing Week 2. Owners probably should avoid him this week even if he is able to play.

  • Posted: 9/12/2018 3:06pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Huddle Up: Despite having to leave the opener early in Miami, it looks like the No. 2 overall pick of the 2015 draft will be good to go for Week 2. At the very least, Mariota should improve on his lackluster season debut and could be a decent streaming option.

  • Posted: 9/12/2018 12:46pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) is feeling good and should be able to play this week barring a setback, according to head coach Mike Vrabel.

Huddle Up: We now have confirmation from Vrabel that Mariota is expected to play. It won't be an easy matchup against the Houston Texans, though, and he has to be viewed as a Week 2 backup.

  • Posted: 9/10/2018 5:19pm ET

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) is expected to play in the Week 2 game against the Houston Texans, according to beat writer Turron Davenport.

Huddle Up: While Mariota and his fantasy owners appear to have dodged a bullet, when he does return to the field he will be without Delanie Walker for the remainder of the season. That's a huge target gone from Mariota's arsenal, so the wide receivers and Jonnu Smith will need to step up.

  • Posted: 9/10/2018 11:56am ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) has yet to receive an official diagnosis on his Week 1 elbow injury, although head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters it was 'looking OK.'

Huddle Up: Mariota has struggled to stay healthy for the bulk of his three-plus years in the league. The upcoming schedule isn't going to do him any favors even if he is deemed healthy enough to play, as the Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles are his next three opponents. If Mariota has to sit, Blaine Gabbert will get the start and be an immediate downgrade for all of the Titans' pass-catchers.

  • Posted: 9/9/2018 4:07pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) was forced to leave the Week 1 game against the Miami Dolphins in the second half due to an elbow injury. He is questionable to return.

Huddle Up: Mariota was injured on a run-pass option play. He had just 103 yards and two interceptions through three quarters before departing in a game which had a lengthy weather delay due to lightning. Blaine Gabbert replaced him and would start if Mariota is forced to miss any time.

  • Posted: 7/2/2018 11:03am ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota worked out with some of his pass catchers in Nashville this past weekend.

Huddle Up: Mariota is coming off a decent 2017 season but should have a chance to improve on his stats this upcoming season. He has the potential to be a No. 1 fantasy quarterback at this time but should be drafted as a No. 2 quarterback in drafts.

  • Posted: 6/22/2018 7:11pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota has 'looked fast on the occasions when he's taken off' during spring practices, according to Jim Wyatt of TitansOnline.com.

Huddle Up: Mariota didn't live up to the hype last year, but he has a high fantasy ceiling thanks to his dual-threat ability. Throw in another year of experience and an improved supporting cast, and Mariota is worth drafting as a low-end QB1.

  • Posted: 5/26/2018 8:23pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota said he has been working on widening his throwing stance to increase his balance and improve his throwing accuracy.

Huddle Up: Mariota took a step in the wrong direction last year, but the Titans have added more weapons, and he seems committed to improving. He has enough upside to select as a low-end QB1.

  • Posted: 4/18/2018 10:09am ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota's fifth-year option will be exercised, according to general manager Jon Robinson.

Huddle Up: It's an obvious move for the Titans as Mariota is one of the most promising young quarterbacks in the NFL. He took a step backwards last year, but his dual-threat ability makes him a QB1 candidate going into a new season.

  • Posted: 4/15/2018 7:52pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota is going to have more chances to make throws down the field this season, according to offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur.

Huddle Up: Mariota disappointed a bit last year, but injuries didn't help his cause. Tennessee continues to add weapons around a him, and the potential for more big plays only reinforces his QB1 upside.

  • Posted: 2/15/2018 10:28pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota became the fifth quarterback in NFL history with at least 9,000 passing yards (9,476) and 900 rushing yards (913) in his first three seasons after his performance during the 2017 campaign.

Huddle Up: While 2017 was far from his best season, it should be noted that the former Heisman Trophy winner played through a mire of injuries, not to mention he was coming back from a fractured fibula at the end of 2016. The good news is he should be 100 percent healthy going into next year, and thus, he'll be a top bounce-back candidate with legit QB1 potential for all formats.

  • Posted: 2/8/2018 10:24am ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee offense will be more aggressive in 2018 if new offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur has his way. LaFleur wants his talented young quarterback to be more comfortable but more aggressive in the Titans' offensive scheme. 'Our communication is going to absolutely critical to all of our success here,' LaFleur said. LaFleur wants Mariota to voice his opinion more as Mariota heads into his fourth NFL campaign.

Huddle Up: Mariota undoubtedly took a step backward in 2017, but a new coordinator and new scheme may give new life to the talented gunslinger. What makes Mariota more appealing from a fantasy perspective is his ability to run. He needs to be a part of the low-end QB1 conversation for 2018.

  • Posted: 1/17/2018 6:24pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota led all quarterbacks in passer rating on play action passes during the 2017 regular season, finishing with a 122.8 mark. Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins (118.7) and Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford (117.4) finished second and third, respectively.

Huddle Up: Mariota regressed in several major statistical categories this season, including throwing for a career-high interceptions and career-low touchdowns, but the former Heisman Trophy winner also still managed to excel with certain parts of his game, lending plenty of hope that he can get back on track. It's a little concerning that he'll be playing for his third coach in four seasons, but Mariota will be one of the top bounce-back candidates going into next year.

  • Posted: 1/14/2018 8:43am ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (quadriceps) suffered a quadriceps strain during the first quarter the Divisional Round playoff game against the New England Patriots.

Huddle Up: Mariota will have the entire offseason to recover from the injury and should return to the field at some point during offseason workouts. He was a disappointment for fantasy owners this season and probably should be seen as a No. 2 quarterback next season.

  • Posted: 1/13/2018 8:54pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota completed 22 of his 37 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns and rushed four times for 37 yards in a 35-14 loss to the New England Patriots Saturday, Jan. 13.

Huddle Up: Mariota put together a decent game despite the lopsided nature of the score. Overall, his 2017 season was a disappointment from a fantasy perspective, and he will be an upside QB2 heading into 2018.

  • Posted: 1/6/2018 4:10pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota went 19-for-31 for 205 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card playoff game Saturday, Jan. 6. One of Mariota's touchdown throws was a deflected pass that he caught and ran into the end zone. Mariota also rushed for 46 yards on eight carries during the game.

Huddle Up: Mariota struggled in the first half of the game but played well in the second half. He will face the New England Patriots or Pittsburgh Steelers in the next round and will be a risky fantasy option.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 2:50pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota completed 22 of his 39 pass attempts for 275 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in the Week 16 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Huddle Up: Mariota entered the season with huge fantasy expectations, but he has had just one 300-yard passing day and only three games with multi-TD passing performances. He has also folded down the stretch for his real team, losing each of the past three starts.

  • Posted: 12/17/2017 11:19pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns in a Week 15 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Huddle Up: Mariota has had an up-and-down season, and this turned out to be one of his better outings. Still, Mariota has been uneven to the point where he's a high-end QB2 at the best.

  • Posted: 12/15/2017 3:14pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 15, and is not on the injury report for Week 15.

Huddle Up: Mariota should be able to receive his normal workload this week against the San Francisco 49ers. He has struggled recently with three straight games under 200 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions during that span. He has a favorable matchup this week, but owners probably have better options available to use.

  • Posted: 12/13/2017 4:25pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Huddle Up: Mariota has gone three straight games with less than 200 passing yards and has posted two touchdowns and four interceptions during that span. He will have a favorable matchup this week and could be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 12/11/2017 6:38pm ET

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota's (knee) injury is not considered 'real serious,' according to head coach Mike Mularkey, though the latter conceded that it did 'affect a number of things' and limited the club 'game plan-wise' in their Week 14 game Sunday, Dec. 10, against the Arizona Cardinals.

Huddle Up: While the former Heisman Trophy winner has a favorable matchup on tap with San Francisco, it's definitely concerning that not only is he banged up, but he's also coming off a performance that saw him register a season-low 39.6 QB Rating. Owners will have to closely follow his status throughout the next few days, as there's little chance Mariota is 100 percent by next week.

  • Posted: 12/11/2017 1:12pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (knee) may be limited in practice this week with his knee injury, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Huddle Up: Mariota has been one of the biggest disappointments of the 2017 fantasy season. Of course, not being at 100% may be partly to blame for that. On the year he is the QB18 and is a risky start going forward no matter the matchup.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 7:07pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (knee) was playing with an injured knee in the Week 14 game against the Arizona Cardinals, head coach Mike Mularkey said Sunday, Dec. 10. The quarterback said after the game that he expects to be fine.

Huddle Up: Mariota has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns this season and he hasn't looked right for a while. He played through the injury on Sunday and was able to finish without missing any time, but he is not someone you want to rely upon going forward.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 6:17pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota completed 15 of his 23 pass attempts for 150 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 13 game against the Houston Texans and he also added a rushing score.

Huddle Up: Mariota entered the season with high fantasy expectations as a borderline QB1/QB2, but he has failed to throw for 200 yards in each of the past two games, and he has one or no passing touchdowns in seven of his past eight outings. He isn't a recommended fantasy option heading into Week 14 in most formats.

  • Posted: 11/28/2017 8:28am ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota's matchup against the Houston Texans in Week 13 pits him against the friendliest defense to the position the last five weeks.

Huddle Up: Mariota has been shaky the last couple of weeks, but the Texans have allowed 26.7 fantasy points per game to QBs the last five weeks. That's more than two points higher per game than the next team. Mariota will be a midrange QB1 option in fantasy.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 3:15pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota completed 17 of his 25 pass attempts for 184 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Huddle Up: Mariota has struggled mightily this season, throwing nine touchdowns with 11 interceptions while also finding the end zone four times with his feet. Fantasy owners had big expectations for Mariota this season, but he has performed like a low-end QB2 more often than that. The Titans host the Texans in Week 13.
