Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz completed 30-of-37 passes for 310 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 7 game against the Carolina Panthers and he also lost a fumble.

Huddle Up: Wentz has gone over 300 yards in three of his past four starts and he has at least two touchdowns in four consecutive outings. That ugly ACL injury which ended his 2017 season prematurely is well in the rear-view mirror and he is back to fantasy elite status. The Eagles meet the Jaguars in London in Week 8.

  • Posted: 10/19/2018 12:37pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (back) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 19, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

Huddle Up: Wentz has been playing well since returning to the starting lineup and has seven touchdowns and zero interceptions over the last three games. He should be considered a weekly starting option in all leagues as long as he stays healthy.

  • Posted: 10/18/2018 1:09pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (back) participated fully in practice Thursday, Oct. 18.

Huddle Up: The Carolina Panthers have been mediocre against the pass this year and Wentz has been on fire since returning nearly a month ago. He's comfortably in QB1 territory.

  • Posted: 10/17/2018 4:42pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (back) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Huddle Up: This appears to be a new issue for Wentz, though it won't affect his availability for Sunday. With multiple touchdown passes in his last three games, he'll be a lower-end QB1 in this week's matchup.

  • Posted: 10/11/2018 9:19pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz completed 26 of 36 passes for 278 yards and three touchdowns during the team's 34-13 win over the New York Giants on Thursday, Oct. 11.

Huddle Up: This was by far the best the Eagles have looked offensively this season, and Wentz has now thrown for 937 yards and seven TDs without an interception over the last three games. The 25-year-old has re-established himself as solid QB1 for fantasy owners, and he'll get a little extra time to recuperate before the Carolina Panthers come to town in Week 7.

  • Posted: 10/10/2018 11:07am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (rest) returned to a full practice Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Huddle Up: Wentz represents a borderline QB1 this week in what will be a tough test on the road versus a divisional rival in the New York Giants.

  • Posted: 10/9/2018 12:54pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (rest) was held out of practice Tuesday, Oct. 9.

Huddle Up: The Eagles are suddenly on a losing streak, but it's not Wentz's fault. During that two-game streak he has averaged 329.5 yards and two touchdowns. In what will be a tough divisional matchup, Wentz is a borderline No. 1 fantasy quarterback.

  • Posted: 10/7/2018 11:03pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz finished 24-of-35 for 311 yards and two touchdowns while adding 26 yards rushing on five carries in Week 5 versus the Minnesota Vikings.

Huddle Up: Wentz also lost a fumble, which resulted in a 64-yard fumble return by defensive lineman Linval Joseph. Despite the turnover, Wentz has exceeded 300 yards passing and accounted for two touchdowns in each of the last two games, and he certainly does not bear the responsibility for the Eagles losing consecutive games. The third-year starter should be considered a low-end fantasy QB1 in Week 6 against the New York Giants.

  • Posted: 10/2/2018 5:25pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz has been sacked on 17.9 percent of his dropbacks when opponents blitzed since returning to action in Week 3.

Huddle Up: While Wentz figures to be on the slower end of getting rid of the ball because of how much he trusts his mobility, the high sack rate is most likely a function of him getting acclimated to live action again and his supporting cast working their way back from injury as well. Wentz should be a solid - if not high-end - fantasy QB1 again by midseason.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 4:18pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz completed 33-of-50 passes for 348 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 4 game against the Tennessee Titans.

Huddle Up: Wentz has not shown any rust in his two starts since returning from a torn ACL. Unfortunately, the results have been mixed in the standings, winning at home last week and losing his first road start since returning. Still, he remains a solid low-end QB1 in most fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 5 against the Minnesota Vikings

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 7:19pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) completed 25-of-37 passes for 255 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Week 3 win against the Indianapolis Colts in his season debut.

Huddle Up: Wentz made it through the game without any setbacks and he even ran three times for 10 yards to test out his injury. The quarterback also had plenty of heat, as he was dropped five times by the Colts D, but again, no setbacks. The Eagles meet the Titans in Nashville in Week 4.

  • Posted: 9/21/2018 12:23pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 21, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

Huddle Up: Wentz will play for the first time since the middle of last season and probably will be rusty during the early part of the game. Owners can still consider him a No. 1 fantasy quarterback in all leagues despite his lengthy absence.

  • Posted: 9/20/2018 12:51pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 20.

Huddle Up: Wentz is on track to playing his first game since the middle of the 2017 season. He should have a favorable matchup this week and can be a No. 1 fantasy quarterback in all leagues even though he may be rusty.

  • Posted: 9/19/2018 2:19pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) logged a full practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Huddle Up: It will be interesting to see how much Wentz does in his return from a torn ACL. A matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is a good one to ease him into. The Eagles have taken it easy with the franchise quarterback as he has progressed, so feel free to start him in his 2018 debut.

  • Posted: 9/17/2018 9:12am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) has been medically cleared for contact and is expected to start in Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Huddle Up: It's great news for the Eagles and fantasy owners alike. While Wentz is short on receivers at the moment, his return is an immediate upgrade for the entire offense. It became abundantly clear over the first two games of the season why Nick Foles should be a backup quarterback, as the offense struggled to get it going. Wentz has reportedly been sharp in practice, but it's fair to expect he'll be a bit rusty, even in a plus matchup. Ideally, owners can give him a game before making him their every-week starter again.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 9:42am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) is on track to return for the Week 3 game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, Sept. 23, according to sources. Wentz has not played in 2018 as he recovers from his late-2017 knee injury, and still must be medically cleared to return.

Huddle Up: Wentz's 2018 debut was expected to come sooner rather than later, so this is good news for those fantasy general managers who have rostered two QBs with Wentz on the bench.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 7:06am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) could be cleared for contact as early as this week, although there is still a possibility that he could sit out Week 3's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Huddle Up: Wentz has been practicing on a limited basis for the last few weeks but the Eagles appear as though they want to err on the side of caution. When healthy, he is a QB1 in all fantasy formats. Nick Foles will continue to start for as long as Wentz is sidelined and is worthy of consideration as an inexpensive flier in daily fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 9/12/2018 7:45am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) hasn't been cleared for contact Wednesday, Sept. 12, and he won't start in Week 2.

Huddle Up: Keep him stashed, but it could be another week or two before he's set to go.

  • Posted: 9/6/2018 4:59pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) is expected to sit out several more weeks and will not return until he is completely healthy.

Huddle Up: Wentz is still coming back from his torn anterior cruciate ligament, so owners will need to keep an eye on the situation. Nick Foles will start as long as Wentz is sidelined and could be a low-end No. 1 fantasy quarterback in the next two weeks if he plays well in Week 1.

  • Posted: 9/4/2018 11:46am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) was limited in practice Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Huddle Up: Nick Foles takes the reins this week as the Eagles continue to be cautious with their franchise quarterback. He's not startable in traditional lineups, but don't overlook him as a cheap start in daily lineups.

  • Posted: 9/3/2018 1:25pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz was limited in practice Monday, Sept. 3.

Huddle Up: Nick Foles has already been named the Week 1 starter to give Wentz the extra time to fully recover and prepare. It's unclear if Wentz will be available for Week 2, but Foles is a fine daily fantasy play for contests including Thursday night's game.

  • Posted: 8/31/2018 8:22pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) could miss the first couple of regular season games, according to Tim McManus of ESPN.com.

Huddle Up: While it wouldn't be the ideal situation for his fantasy owners, Wentz should still be available for a majority of the year. There is no need to hit the panic button yet, but you should line up a quality alternative.

  • Posted: 8/26/2018 10:51am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) has yet to be cleared for contact as of Sunday, Aug. 26.

Huddle Up: With 11 days to go before the regular-season opener, a decision regarding Wentz's status for Week 1 could go right down to the wire. As a result, Nick Foles appears to be the favorite to get the nod against the Atlanta Falcons. Until Wentz's status becomes clear, owners need to approach him as a risky QB1 investment in drafts with obvious overall QB1 upside. If Foles needs to start next week, he'd be a dicey fantasy play at best against the Falcons.

  • Posted: 8/20/2018 10:58am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) said he will not play in the third preseason game Thursday, Aug. 23.

Huddle Up: Wentz will not return to the field until the regular season, but his status for Week 1 is still uncertain. Owners can still consider taking him as their No. 1 quarterback but will need a strong backup in case he misses some games early.

  • Posted: 8/20/2018 9:09am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) took part in 11-on-11 drills for the at practice Sunday, Aug. 19, for the first time in more than three weeks. 'His arm is live,' Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said of Wentz. 'He hasn?t had all the reps, obviously, that (QB) Nick (Foles) has had, that (QB) Nate (Sudfeld) has had, so his arm is live. He's fresh, and that's all the things that we wanted him to be at this stage.' Pederson didn't say whether Wentz would see any playing time in the Eagles' final two preseason games but left the possibility open that he could start the Sept. 6 season opener against the Atlanta Falcons.

Huddle Up: Only Russell Wilson (25.73) averaged more fantasy points per game than Wentz's 25.13 among QBs who started at least 10 contests last season. Wentz is a definite QB1 candidate even if he misses a few games to start the season.

  • Posted: 8/18/2018 9:19am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) will participate in team drills during practice Sunday, Aug. 19.

Huddle Up: Wentz has been limited for the last several days but will once again participate in 11-on-11 drills. He is still a question mark for Week 1 but should play most of the season. Wentz can be a No. 1 quarterback in fantasy leagues, but owners should add a good backup in case Wentz misses a few games.

  • Posted: 8/14/2018 8:13am ET

Updating an ongoing story, Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) said 'it will be close' as to whether he'll be ready for Week 1. 'I obviously would love to be out there,' Wentz said. 'That's been my goal all offseason ever since the injury. It's going to be close. I'm still eyeing that date. At the end of the day, it's not just my decision. There's coaches and doctors that really have the final say. I really like where I'm at and time will tell here.'

Huddle Up: Wentz is a top-five option at quarterback in fantasy. However, he's swinging on a pendulum. If he were to miss a game or two, the pool in the midrange QB1 area is so close that maybe he slides down a few spots. The thing with Wentz is he has top-three upside, whereas you probably can't say that about the other QBs around him.

  • Posted: 8/7/2018 2:32pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) is expected to be held out for the duration of the preseason as he continues to recover from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and subsequent surgery. Wentz believes he'll be fine if he is unable to play in the preseason.

Huddle Up: The Eagles are treading carefully with their franchise quarterback, as they should be. Wentz should still be good to go for the regular season and deserves a look as a top-five fantasy quarterback.

  • Posted: 8/3/2018 5:19pm ET

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) has not suffered any setbacks and his restrictions during practice are part of the plan, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Huddle Up: Wentz was allowed to do more earlier during training camp but has been limited for most of this week. Owners should monitor the situation over the next week or two to see if he does more during practice. Wentz should be a No. 1 fantasy quarterback if he is healthy but will have some risk with him because of the injury.

  • Posted: 8/3/2018 8:02am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) remains out of 11-on-11 drills Friday, Aug. 3, as the team wants him in more controlled environments. It's the fifth day in a row he has been limited.

Huddle Up: The team is taking it very slow with Wentz, but he remains a high-end piece at the position in fantasy.

  • Posted: 8/1/2018 7:21pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) was held out of team drills for a third straight day Wednesday, Aug. 1. Head coach Doug Pederson said limiting Wentz is part of the medical team's plan.

Huddle Up: Wentz has done a lot so far in training camp and is looking to be ready for the start of the regular season. He was a solid fantasy contributor before his injury last season and likely would be a No. 1 fantasy quarterback again this season if healthy. Owners that select Wentz may want a strong backup just in case of any problems.

  • Posted: 7/31/2018 7:51am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) was limited to work on the side Tuesday, July 31.

Huddle Up: Wentz still has a ways to go to give optimism that he'll be back to form early in the season, but he's a high-end QB1 candidate in a pool of uncertainty.

  • Posted: 7/28/2018 8:22pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) participated in contact drills for the first time during training camp Saturday, July 28.

Huddle Up: Wentz looks like he will be on the field in Week 1 as long as he doesn't suffer an unexpected setback. He's a QB1 with the potential to jump into the fantasy elite at his position.

  • Posted: 7/26/2018 11:40am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz's (knee) next step in his recovery is being cleared for contact. Wentz said he likes where he is right now in his progress and remains on set on playing in Week 1.

Huddle Up: Wentz will be one of the bigger names to watch during training camp and in the preseason. If he avoids running into any setbacks he should be on the field when he wants to be. The risk is evident, but Wentz has top-five QB upside when healthy.

  • Posted: 7/25/2018 3:33pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) will not be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list at the start of training camp. He will be a limited participant during practices.

Huddle Up: Wentz probably will not receive a lot of playing time in the preseason, but his goal is to be ready for Week 1. Owners will need to monitor his progress over the next few weeks because he can be a No. 1 quarterback in all fantasy leagues if he is healthy.

  • Posted: 7/25/2018 5:03am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) is likely to land on the Physically Unable to Perform list after his physical Wednesday, July 25, but it would not be an indication of a setback or that he'll miss the start of the season. He could come off at any time, and rehab is going well. He could also avoid the PUP and practice on a limited basis so he can remain on the field with his teammates.

Huddle Up: Wentz is a high-end QB1 in a year where there aren't a lot of options without question marks at the top of the food chain.

  • Posted: 6/6/2018 9:50am ET

Updating previousr reports, Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) has been cleared for seven-on-seven work, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Huddle Up: Wentz is expected to be ready for the start of the season, but he could be limited leading up to the opener. He's a high-end QB1 option, but there are certainly safer picks in his range.

  • Posted: 6/5/2018 12:02pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) is expected to be healthy enough to play by Week 1, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Huddle Up: As long as Wentz avoids the dreaded setback he's on pace to start the season. Caution needs to be taken, but there's good enough reason for Wentz to be drafted as a QB1 and as high as a top-five quarterback.

  • Posted: 5/11/2018 11:51am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) has yet to be medically cleared, but the team is 'highly encouraged' by the progress he has made in his rehab from a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee. Nevertheless, head coach Doug Pederson made it clear he has no intention to rush Wentz back, telling reporters his quarterback will be 'ready when he's ready, and when we feel he's ready.'

Huddle Up: The Eagles are keeping Nick Foles around just in case, but the news has been consistently good regarding the likelihood Wentz will be ready for the season opener. Assuming that is the case, he should be one of the first five quarterbacks to come off the board in fantasy drafts.

  • Posted: 5/7/2018 7:26am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) sent video to quarterback gurus Tom House and Adam Dedeaux, and his mechanics are sound, according to sources. He is throwing the same or better than before the knee injury.

Huddle Up: Wentz is an upper-tier QB1 option, but the jury is still out whether he'll be ready for Week 1 or not. Monitor his progress in camp.

  • Posted: 4/18/2018 4:43pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) said he does not have a definite timetable for his return but does intend to play Week 1.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to monitor his progress during training camp to see if he will be ready for the start of the regular season. Wentz should be considered a No. 1 fantasy quarterback when he is healthy, but owners should have a solid backup on their roster in case Wentz misses a few games.

  • Posted: 4/17/2018 12:41pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) said he has started running in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and torn lateral collateral ligament. The quarterback added that he feels good and is happy where he's at in his progress.

Huddle Up: It's still unclear whether or not Wentz will be good to go for Week 1, but we'll take good news. Wentz was debatably the most productive fantasy quarterback before suffering his gruesome injuries. If he doesn't see any setbacks between now and Week 1 he should be one of the first quarterbacks selected.

  • Posted: 4/7/2018 6:47pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) needs to think about his longevity, according to head coach Doug Pederson, and Pederson said he is going to talk with Wentz about ways he can help ensure that he has a long career.

Huddle Up: Wentz has vowed not to tone back his style following his knee injury last season, but unless injuries start to become a pattern, what happened last year shouldn't hurt his fantasy stock. He's expected to be ready for the start of the year and can be trusted as a lower-end QB1 in all formats.

  • Posted: 3/19/2018 9:58pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) posted video of himself throwing inside the team's practice facility Monday, March 19, as he 'appears to be making some significant strides' in his rehab from a torn ACL and LCL. He's still aiming to return for the season opener.

Huddle Up: All indications are that Wentz will indeed be ready for the start of the season, which means he can be drafted as your standard QB1 after the sensational sophomore showing he exhibited this past year. Prior to going down with a season-ending injury, Wentz had posted a 101.9 passer rating in 13 games, as he finished with 3,296 yards and 33 touchdowns compared to just seven interceptions.

  • Posted: 3/5/2018 10:37pm ET

The Philadelphia Eagles are confident that QB Carson Wentz (knee) will be 'healthy enough' to start under center for the team's Week 1 game next season on Sept. 6.

Huddle Up: That would also explain why the Eagles are actively fielding offers for Super Bowl hero Nick Foles, willing to part ways with him for the right draft picks or perhaps other compensation. Wentz was a bonafide QB1 last season before going down late in the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament but as long as he's healthy for the start of next year, he has a legitimate shot of being one of the top players at his position in 2018.

  • Posted: 2/15/2018 4:43pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) said he will not change his playing style even though he is recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Huddle Up: Wentz hopes to be ready for the start of the 2018 season, so owners should keep an eye on the situation during the offseason. He is coming off a terrific 2017 season and should be a No. 1 fantasy quarterback next season. Owners interested in Wentz may want a strong backup in case he is not ready for the opener.

  • Posted: 2/5/2018 8:54am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) was throwing 50-yard passes in warmups at the Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 4.

Huddle Up: Wentz should be ready well in advance of the 2018 season and will be a midrange QB1 option in fantasy.

  • Posted: 2/4/2018 6:58am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) will begin doing weight-bearing exercises Wednesday, Feb. 7, with the brace on his knee being unlocked for the first time since he was placed on injured reserve. Barring any setbacks, Wentz could be able to do some work in training camp and the possibility remains that he could be ready for the start of the 2018 regular season.

Huddle Up: Wentz is recovering from both a torn anterior cruciate ligament and lateral collateral ligament in his left knee but once he resumes exercising in a few days, his recovery timetable would be similar to an athlete who only had a torn ACL. As long as he remains healthy, he should be viewed as a QB1 in all fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 1/26/2018 11:12am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) said the timetable for his return is fluid but hopes to be ready for regular season opener next season. He said he tore his lateral collateral ligament in addition to his anterior cruciate ligament during the season.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to monitor Wentz's progress during the offseason to see if he will be ready for Week 1. He was one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL this season and should be a No. 1 fantasy quarterback in 2018 as long as he is healthy.

  • Posted: 12/12/2017 2:22pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) was officially placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Huddle Up: With Wentz done for the year, it's Nick Foles' time to try to lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl run. Foles has had success in the NFL before, but he is a far cry from Wentz. For those who own Wentz and/or Aaron Rodgers, Foles is a serviceable replacement if needed.
