Updating previousr reports, Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) has been cleared for seven-on-seven work, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Huddle Up: Wentz is expected to be ready for the start of the season, but he could be limited leading up to the opener. He's a high-end QB1 option, but there are certainly safer picks in his range.

  • Posted: 6/5/2018 12:02pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) is expected to be healthy enough to play by Week 1, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Huddle Up: As long as Wentz avoids the dreaded setback he's on pace to start the season. Caution needs to be taken, but there's good enough reason for Wentz to be drafted as a QB1 and as high as a top-five quarterback.

  • Posted: 5/11/2018 11:51am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) has yet to be medically cleared, but the team is 'highly encouraged' by the progress he has made in his rehab from a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee. Nevertheless, head coach Doug Pederson made it clear he has no intention to rush Wentz back, telling reporters his quarterback will be 'ready when he's ready, and when we feel he's ready.'

Huddle Up: The Eagles are keeping Nick Foles around just in case, but the news has been consistently good regarding the likelihood Wentz will be ready for the season opener. Assuming that is the case, he should be one of the first five quarterbacks to come off the board in fantasy drafts.

  • Posted: 5/7/2018 7:26am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) sent video to quarterback gurus Tom House and Adam Dedeaux, and his mechanics are sound, according to sources. He is throwing the same or better than before the knee injury.

Huddle Up: Wentz is an upper-tier QB1 option, but the jury is still out whether he'll be ready for Week 1 or not. Monitor his progress in camp.

  • Posted: 4/18/2018 4:43pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) said he does not have a definite timetable for his return but does intend to play Week 1.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to monitor his progress during training camp to see if he will be ready for the start of the regular season. Wentz should be considered a No. 1 fantasy quarterback when he is healthy, but owners should have a solid backup on their roster in case Wentz misses a few games.

  • Posted: 4/17/2018 12:41pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) said he has started running in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and torn lateral collateral ligament. The quarterback added that he feels good and is happy where he's at in his progress.

Huddle Up: It's still unclear whether or not Wentz will be good to go for Week 1, but we'll take good news. Wentz was debatably the most productive fantasy quarterback before suffering his gruesome injuries. If he doesn't see any setbacks between now and Week 1 he should be one of the first quarterbacks selected.

  • Posted: 4/7/2018 6:47pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) needs to think about his longevity, according to head coach Doug Pederson, and Pederson said he is going to talk with Wentz about ways he can help ensure that he has a long career.

Huddle Up: Wentz has vowed not to tone back his style following his knee injury last season, but unless injuries start to become a pattern, what happened last year shouldn't hurt his fantasy stock. He's expected to be ready for the start of the year and can be trusted as a lower-end QB1 in all formats.

  • Posted: 3/19/2018 9:58pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) posted video of himself throwing inside the team's practice facility Monday, March 19, as he 'appears to be making some significant strides' in his rehab from a torn ACL and LCL. He's still aiming to return for the season opener.

Huddle Up: All indications are that Wentz will indeed be ready for the start of the season, which means he can be drafted as your standard QB1 after the sensational sophomore showing he exhibited this past year. Prior to going down with a season-ending injury, Wentz had posted a 101.9 passer rating in 13 games, as he finished with 3,296 yards and 33 touchdowns compared to just seven interceptions.

  • Posted: 3/5/2018 10:37pm ET

The Philadelphia Eagles are confident that QB Carson Wentz (knee) will be 'healthy enough' to start under center for the team's Week 1 game next season on Sept. 6.

Huddle Up: That would also explain why the Eagles are actively fielding offers for Super Bowl hero Nick Foles, willing to part ways with him for the right draft picks or perhaps other compensation. Wentz was a bonafide QB1 last season before going down late in the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament but as long as he's healthy for the start of next year, he has a legitimate shot of being one of the top players at his position in 2018.

  • Posted: 2/15/2018 4:43pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) said he will not change his playing style even though he is recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Huddle Up: Wentz hopes to be ready for the start of the 2018 season, so owners should keep an eye on the situation during the offseason. He is coming off a terrific 2017 season and should be a No. 1 fantasy quarterback next season. Owners interested in Wentz may want a strong backup in case he is not ready for the opener.

  • Posted: 2/5/2018 8:54am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) was throwing 50-yard passes in warmups at the Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 4.

Huddle Up: Wentz should be ready well in advance of the 2018 season and will be a midrange QB1 option in fantasy.

  • Posted: 2/4/2018 6:58am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) will begin doing weight-bearing exercises Wednesday, Feb. 7, with the brace on his knee being unlocked for the first time since he was placed on injured reserve. Barring any setbacks, Wentz could be able to do some work in training camp and the possibility remains that he could be ready for the start of the 2018 regular season.

Huddle Up: Wentz is recovering from both a torn anterior cruciate ligament and lateral collateral ligament in his left knee but once he resumes exercising in a few days, his recovery timetable would be similar to an athlete who only had a torn ACL. As long as he remains healthy, he should be viewed as a QB1 in all fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 1/26/2018 11:12am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) said the timetable for his return is fluid but hopes to be ready for regular season opener next season. He said he tore his lateral collateral ligament in addition to his anterior cruciate ligament during the season.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to monitor Wentz's progress during the offseason to see if he will be ready for Week 1. He was one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL this season and should be a No. 1 fantasy quarterback in 2018 as long as he is healthy.

  • Posted: 12/12/2017 2:22pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) was officially placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Huddle Up: With Wentz done for the year, it's Nick Foles' time to try to lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl run. Foles has had success in the NFL before, but he is a far cry from Wentz. For those who own Wentz and/or Aaron Rodgers, Foles is a serviceable replacement if needed.

  • Posted: 12/11/2017 9:15am ET

Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament after an MRI Monday, Dec. 11, confirmed the injury.

Huddle Up: Nick Foles takes over at quarterback, and Alshon Jeffery figures to take a hit. Zach Ertz's value pops more with Foles under center as a checkdown option. Jay Ajayi also receives a boost as a checkdown option. As for Foles, he could be considered as a matchup play in Week 15 against the New York Giants if greener pastures aren't available.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 5:40pm ET

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) might have a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, sources said Sunday, Dec. 10. He will have an MRI to confirm the injury on Monday, Dec. 11.

Huddle Up: The team said they will not have an update tonight, as they fly home from Los Angeles to Philadelphia. If Wentz is indeed done it would be Nick Foles under center for the rest of their season and playoff run. It's a tough break for the favorite for the league's MVP award.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 4:01pm ET

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of the Week 14 game against the Los Angeles Rams due to a knee injury.

Huddle Up: Wentz was able to walk off to the locker room, but he was ruled out rather quickly and early indications are that it might be a rather serious injury. Nick Foles will step in under center as long as Wentz is forced to the sidelines.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 3:35pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz walked off to the locker room in the fourth quarter of the Week 14 game against the Los Angeles Rams due to an undisclosed reason.

Huddle Up: Wentz has suffered several hard hits in the NFC showdown, but it's uncertain if he has a head injury or another concern. Nick Foles will enter the game if Wentz needs to miss game time.

  • Posted: 12/4/2017 5:23am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz was 29-for-45 for 348 yards, one touchdown, one interception and a lost fumble in the Week 13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks Sunday, Dec. 3.

Huddle Up: Wentz has a tough matchup against the Los Angeles Rams next week. The Rams have been the sixth-best team at covering the QB position the last five weeks. He's still a QB1 option.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 6:09pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz completed 23 of his 36 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns and ran five times for 29 yards in a 31-3 win over the Chicago Bears in Week 12.

Huddle Up: Wentz is on an absolute tear right now, tossing multiple touchdowns in seven straight games and delivering at least three scores five times in that stretch. Continue to deploy him as a QB1 against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13.

  • Posted: 11/20/2017 9:37am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (head) was evaluated for a concussion late in the first quarter Sunday, Nov. 19.

Huddle Up: He clearly passed the tests, though he wasn't sharp with a 14-for-27 effort for 168 yards and two scores. He'll remain a QB1 option against the Chicago Bears next week.

  • Posted: 11/19/2017 8:58pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz completed 14 of his 27 pass attempts for 168 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 11 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Huddle Up: Wentz also had two passes for two-point conversions, as the team was forced to go for two after losing Jake Elliott in the first half to concussion. Wentz has two or more TD strikes in six straight games, and eight of his 10 outings overall. He has emerged as a must-start fantasy option across the board. The Eagles host the Bears in Week 12.

  • Posted: 11/15/2017 6:46pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz leads all quarterbacks in passing touchdowns this season through the first 10 weeks, having thrown for 23 scores. If he can maintain his pace and finish on top, he would become the first Eagles quarterback to lead the league in touchdowns since retired QB Roman Gabriel in 1973. Ironically, Gabriel finished that year with 23 touchdown passes.

Huddle Up: The Eagles are coming off their bye week, so it's not like anyone has any games in hand on the current touchdown leader. It's been a remarkable second campaign for the former North Dakota State product, as Wentz owns an outstanding 104.1 QB Rating, easily besting his 79.3 mark from a year ago. Furthermore, he's thrown just five interceptions. Wentz is an unquestioned QB1 and should live up to that status in this week's date with the Cowboys.

  • Posted: 11/8/2017 8:10pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz has 15 touchdowns and zero interceptions in the red zone this season, while also taking zero sacks as well. All three marks are tops in the NFL among qualified quarterbacks.

Huddle Up: Any way you look at it, the second-year signal-caller is having an MVP-caliber year, and with how loaded the Eagles are offensively in both the running and passing game, there's no reason Wentz can't keep it going after the bye week. When Philadelphia resumes play in Week 11, owners obviously have to keep firing up Wentz as their QB1.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 6:02pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz completed 15 of his 27 pass attempts for 199 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 9 win against the Denver Broncos.

Huddle Up: This one turned into such a laugher in the second half that Nick Foles got into the game and finished up. Wentz has the Eagles rolling right now, and he has two or more touchdown passes (17 total) in five straight games for his grateful fantasy owners. However, you'll need to make other plans with the Eagles off in Week 10.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 4:26pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz completed 18 of his 32 pass attempts for 211 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Week 8 against the San Francisco 49ers. He also ran twice for seven yards.

Huddle Up: The second-year quarterback has risen to QB1 status in all fantasy formats for the 7-1 Eagles. He has posted two or more touchdowns in each of his past four games, although he has just one 300-yard game over the past six outings. He'll face a stern test when the Denver Broncos pay a visit in Week 9.

  • Posted: 10/23/2017 8:50pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz connected on 17 of his 25 passes for 268 yards, registering four touchdowns and one interception. He also ran eight times for a team-high 63 yards.

Huddle Up: Impressively, he also became the first Eagles quarterback to throw for three or more touchdowns in three consecutive games since 1953. Wentz has truly been a marvel this season, solidifying himself as a legit weekly QB1. In fact, led by the second-year quarterback, the Eagles have scored more than 25 points in all but one of their games this season. Just keep firing him up under center in all leagues if you have him.

  • Posted: 10/12/2017 8:56pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz completed 16 of his 30 passes for 222 yards and three touchdowns and ran six times for 25 yards in a 28-23 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 6.

Huddle Up: Wentz has now tossed seven touchdowns in the last two games, and he could be a low-end QB1 in Week 7 when he faces a Washington Redskins team he put up 307 yards and two touchdowns against in Week 1.

  • Posted: 10/8/2017 2:40pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz went 21-for-30 for 304 yards, four touchdowns and one interception against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5.

Huddle Up: Wentz reached the 300-yard mark for the third time this season and has 10 touchdowns and three interceptions in five games. He will be facing the Carolina Panthers in Week 6 and can be a low-end No. 1 fantasy quarterback.

  • Posted: 9/24/2017 4:25pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz completed 21 of his 31 pass attempts for 176 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 3 game against the Giants.

Huddle Up: Wentz isn't doing much statistically, but the Eagles are 2-1 so it isn't likely that the Eagles change their game plan. Philly rushed 39 times in their win, so look for Wentz to have rather pedestrian stats in the short term.

  • Posted: 9/17/2017 1:33pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz was 25-for-46 for 333 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in a 27-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Sept. 17. Wentz also led all rushers with 55 yards on four carries.

Huddle Up: All in all, chalk up another strong outing for the second-year signal caller, who withstood the potent Kansas City defense to throw up huge numbers. Wentz was a low-end QB1 option heading into this game, but he may have solidified his status a little bit. Week 3 is a home game against the New York Giants, which should be an easier tilt for Wentz.

  • Posted: 9/11/2017 8:11am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz was blitzed on a career-high 47 percent of his dropbacks in Week 1, according to ESPN Stats and Information. He went 11-for-18 with 119 yards and a touchdown in those situations.

Huddle Up: Wentz threw for 307 yards, two scores and an interception in Week 1, but he'll be facing a tough Kansas City Chiefs defense in Week 2. He'll be a low-end QB1 option in fantasy.

  • Posted: 9/10/2017 1:29pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz threw 26-for-39 for 307 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-17 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday, Sept. 10.

Huddle Up: Wentz started strong last year but faded a bit down the stretch. This is a strong performance for the second-year quarterback, but the big question is will he fade again given the rigors of a season? For now, Wentz is considered a solid QB2 option.

  • Posted: 8/24/2017 7:41pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz went 6-for-10 for 129 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the preseason game against the Miami Dolphins Thursday, Aug. 24.

Huddle Up: Wentz is looking to improve this season after he struggled during the second half of his rookie season. His two touchdowns went to the two free-agent acquisitions the Eagles made this season, which is good for his chemistry with them. Wentz should be considered a No. 2 fantasy quarterback this season and could start against certain opponents.

  • Posted: 7/29/2017 8:01pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz completed all 25 of his passing attempts in 7-on-7 drills and all 15 of his passes in full-team drills during practice Saturday, July 29.

Huddle Up: The Eagles added several weapons in the passing game this offseason, and Wentz should be a solid QB2 option in his second season.

  • Posted: 7/23/2017 3:25pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said the team will not limit the number of throws QB Carson Wentz will make during training camp but the team will monitor the throws.

Huddle Up: Wentz should be more successful this season since he will be more comfortable with the offense. The team has also added more weapons in the passing game for Wentz to use during games. Wentz should be considered a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues this season that can start against certain opponents.

  • Posted: 7/19/2017 11:42am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz will report to training camp Monday, July 24, when rookies and selected veterans are scheduled to report.

Huddle Up: Wentz started strong in his rookie season but had problems during the second half of the season. He finished with 3,782 yards, 16 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. The Eagles added a few new receivers for Wentz to work with during the offseason, which should help his passing numbers. Owners can consider Wentz as a No. 2 quarterback in leagues.
