Huddle Up: Prescott did finish 10th among fantasy QBs in large part due to his 305 rushing yards and six TDs, but it must be noted that Prescott had the bulk of his rushing yards (247) during the first half of the season when the Cowboys went 3-5. During the team's 7-1 second half, Prescott ran for only 58 yards, and that might convince the Cowboys going forward that Prescott doesn't necessarily need to run for the team to have success.

Huddle Up: Prescott threw for a career-high 3,885 yards this past season and was significantly bolstered by the midseason trade acquisition of WR Amari Cooper. Look for Prescott to get that extension and big raise this offseason and be ranked as borderline QB1 this summer in fantasy drafts.

Huddle Up: Prescott rounded into form this season once the Cowboys acquired Amari Cooper, but even that addition only made a middling starter for fantasy purposes. The 25-year-old is set to enter the final year of his rookie contract in 2019 coming off a career-high in passing yards (3,885), but the jury is still out as to whether or not he is a "franchise quarterback." Owners should consider him a QB2 whose upside is limited by an uncreative offense focused around Ezekiel Elliott.

Huddle Up: Prescott had a decent outing, but he just couldn't make enough throws to take down the Rams. He had some stronger outings down the stretch after the Cowboys acquired Amari Cooper, but Prescott looks like a fantasy backup heading into 2019.

Huddle Up: Prescott's availability was never in question. He'll need to be at his best against one of the most formidable defenses in the league in the Los Angeles Rams. It's a road game, too, and the Cowboys as a whole played a lot worse on the road this season.
-

Huddle Up: Prescott will be good to go health wise, and he'll need to be healthy against the Los Angeles Rams. Aaron Donald and company will wreak havoc following their week off, so lower your expectations for Prescott. As for a few months from now, Prescott resides in low-end QB1 to high-end QB2 territory.
-
Posted: 1/8/2019 1:56pm ET
Huddle Up: The knee issue doesn't appear to be serious, so look for Prescott to be full go throughout the week. His running ability makes him a fringe QB1 option going into the 2019 season.
-
Posted: 1/5/2019 8:35pm ET
Huddle Up: Prescott's fantasy value jumps up another notch when he is making plays with his legs, but Dallas is probably going to need more out of him in the divisional round in all facets when the Cowboys face either the Saints or Rams.
-

Huddle Up: Prescott and the Cowboys will face the Seahawks in the wild-card round next week. He threw for 168 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the Week 3 matchup in Seattle, but the playoff game will be played in Dallas.
-
Posted: 12/28/2018 7:20pm ET
Huddle Up: The Cowboys are locked into their playoff seed, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see Prescott and other starters exit early or rest all together. With limited fantasy upside to begin with, it is best to avoid Prescott in Week 17.
-
Posted: 12/23/2018 5:21pm ET
Huddle Up: Prescott still has managed just one 300-yard passing game this season, and he has three or more touchdown passes in just one outing, the same game he had his season-high 455 yards. He remains more of a QB2 in all fantasy leagues heading into the regular-season finale.
-
Posted: 12/16/2018 5:05pm ET
Huddle Up: Coming off one of the best performances of his career in Week 14, Prescott delivered a dud against the Colts. It came at a terrible time for fantasy owners, but he does have a great chance to bounce back next week against the defensively challenged Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
-
Posted: 12/15/2018 12:46pm ET
Huddle Up: Prescott has helped the Cowboys to the top of the NFC East, and his durability has certainly helped the continuity of the offense. He was really jelled nicely with newcomer Amari Cooper to see a boost in his fantasy production, too. Consider Dak a low-end QB1 or strong QB2 heading into Week 15.
-
Posted: 11/29/2018 8:33pm ET
Huddle Up: His line would have been even prettier had he not overthrown Michael Gallup for a would-be touchdown. Prescott has been running more often and throwing the ball more efficiently since the trade for Amari Cooper, making him a high-end QB2.
-
Posted: 11/25/2018 7:37am ET
Huddle Up: It's clear that the Cowboys view the 25-year-old Prescott as their long-term solution at quarterback and he has experienced a surge in fantasy value over the last month. Since the acquisition of WR Amari Cooper in mid-October, Prescott has gone from a bye-week replacement at best to a low-end QB1 in most formats. He has thrown five touchdowns and one interception over his last four contests while completing 70 percent of his passes.
-
Posted: 11/22/2018 5:10pm ET
Huddle Up: Prescott has been dynamic of late and takes on the New Orleans Saints in Week 13, which should be another fine opportunity for QB1 production. The addition of Amari Cooper has transformed the offense by providing a legitimate deep threat.
-
Posted: 11/18/2018 12:52pm ET
Huddle Up: Prescott was held without a touchdown pass for the first time since Week 1 but was able to find the end zone. He will be facing the Washington Redskins next week and could be a low-end No. 1 fantasy quarterback.
-
Posted: 11/11/2018 9:23pm ET
Huddle Up: Despite what looks like a solid stat line, Prescott still has a long way to go to master the art of quarterbacking. He held the ball too long on some occasions, stared down his receivers other times and pulled the trigger too late on other throws. Nevertheless, fantasy owners can't be too displeased with the effort, and Prescott has accounted for at least two touchdowns in four straight games. He should be a serviceable streamer at the very least in Week 11 against the Atlanta Falcons.
-

Huddle Up: Prescott's stock has dropped dramatically since his terrific rookie campaign a few years ago. One of the main indicators of that has been the increase in the amount of times he turns the ball over, something he rarely would do in his freshman campaign. It's safe to say he's not a reliable QB1 right now, though the addition of Amari Cooper figures to help give him a boost again.
-
Posted: 11/6/2018 7:49am ET
Huddle Up: Prescott is No. 22 overall among quarterbacks in fantasy points this season. That pretty much sums it up in terms of fantasy. He's just an extreme matchup play.
-
Posted: 11/5/2018 8:52pm ET
Huddle Up: Prescott had a new toy with Amari Cooper and the duo connected for the first score of the game. As these two jell, they'll make each other better and see more fantasy value along the way. Still, Prescott is more of a QB2 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
-
Posted: 10/21/2018 6:21pm ET
Huddle Up: Prescott's hand injury appeared to be minor, and the team has a bye this week for him to get back to 100 percent health before Week 9.
-
Posted: 10/14/2018 8:49pm ET
Huddle Up: Prescott still didn't have a huge day throwing the ball, but he avoided turnovers and made plays with his legs. His fantasy value would receive a nice boost if he starts running more often, but he remains a low-end QB2 for now.
-
Posted: 10/13/2018 7:08pm ET
Huddle Up: Prescott received a pass for last year's struggles because of the suspension to Ezekiel Elliott, and while you can place some of the blame on his receivers this season, the trend is still discouraging. Even in two-quarterback formats, you can probably find a better option.
-
Posted: 10/7/2018 10:19pm ET
Huddle Up: Through five games Prescott's statistical high point was his 255-yard, 2-TD performance in Week 4. You can divvy up the blame however you'd like, putting the onus on Prescott or his subpar receiving corps -- both INTs came off deflections -- but either way the diagnosis is the same: Prescott shouldn't be in your starting lineup unless he's covering an injury or a bye. That's doubly true next week against a tough Jacksonville defense.
-
Posted: 9/30/2018 2:55pm ET
Huddle Up: Prescott was held to under 200 yards in each of the first three games but was able to play well against the Lions. He should have a favorable matchup next week and could be a bye week replacement in some deeper leagues.
-
Posted: 9/23/2018 11:29pm ET
Huddle Up: Through three games this season Prescott has failed to reach 175 yards passing or account for multiple scores. He's typically safe with the football, but Earl Thomas picked him off twice today. At this point it's hard to advocate having Prescott in your lineup unless he's needed to cover a bye or injury.
-
Posted: 9/14/2018 12:35pm ET
Huddle Up: Prescott did not play well in Week 1 and appears to be trying to build chemistry with his new pass catchers. He likely will have a better game against the New York Giants but probably should be benched until he can have consecutive strong performances.
-
Posted: 9/14/2018 9:22am ET
Huddle Up: After a disappointing finish last season, Prescott is off to a shaky start in 2018, completing 19-of-29 passes for 170 yards and no TDs in a 16-8 Week 1 loss to the Carolina Panthers. Keep him out of your non-two-QB-league fantasy lineups until he shows some signs of life.
-
Posted: 9/9/2018 8:15pm ET
Huddle Up: Prescott was sacked six times and he really struggled without the likes of Dez Bryant, Brice Butler and Jason Witten, all but during the offseason. A big-time receiver needs to step up to help Prescott or he is going to take a huge step backwards from a fantasy perspective. The Cowboys meet the Giants on the road in Week 2.
-
Posted: 8/18/2018 6:36pm ET
Huddle Up: Prescott will try to bounce back after a lackluster sophomore campaign, but with an unproven group of receivers, he needs to be treated as a QB2 for now.
-
Posted: 4/22/2018 6:44pm ET
Huddle Up: Prescott regressed last year after his impressive rookie campaign, and while he should have a full season of Ezekiel Elliott this time around, his receiving corps is full of question marks. He's a QB2 at this point.
