Philadelphia Eagles RB Donnel Pumphrey (hamstring) is out of practice Tuesday, Aug. 1, with a hamstring injury.

Huddle Up: Pegged behind LeGarrette Blount and Darren Sproles, Pumphrey will need an injury to carve out a significant role. He is similar to Sproles in the dual-threat mold, and he has some RB5 luster.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Donnel Pumphrey is returning a lot of punts in practice. He wasn't used much there in college because of his workload, but the Eagles seem interested in him there.

Huddle Up: Pumphrey isn't pegged for a lot of targets behind LeGarrette Blount and Darren Sproles. He may need an injury or a roster move to occur, but he has some RB5 luster in PPR leagues.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Wendell Smallwood has seen noticeably fewer reps than RB Donnel Pumphrey during practice, according to Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com

Huddle Up: The addition of LeGarrette Blount and the emergence of Pumphrey has torpedoed Smallwood's once promising fantasy stock. At this point, Pumphrey looks like the back to invest in for keeper formats. He could eventually replace Darren Sproles as the third-down back.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Donnel Pumphrey continues to work with the first-team offense in camp, and the team is preparing him for a role in the offense.

Huddle Up: He'll have to usurp Darren Sproles to have a significant impact in fantasy, and that's not out of the question. He has some RB5 value in PPR leagues right now.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Donnel Pumphrey will finish his rookie season with more receiving than rushing yards, in the opinion of NJ Advance Media's Matt Lombardo.

Huddle Up: Pumphrey would need Darren Sproles to suffer an injury in order to grab a larger role in the passing game. Consider the San Diego State product a late-round flier in deep PPR leagues, but he is more safely left for the waiver wire.
