Huddle Up: It appears that McGuire could miss the first game or two of the regular season, but this injury likely ends his bid to be the third-down back. Expect Bilal Powell to see more work, especially at the beginning of the year, making him worthy of consideration as a flex option.

Huddle Up: McGuire was expected to have a decent role this season but likely will be out multiple weeks because of the injury. Bilal Powell likely will receive more touches with McGuire out and could be a flex option for owners.

Huddle Up: Add McGuire's name to your list of RB5 sleepers come draft day.

Huddle Up: McGuire will play despite not practicing at all during the week due to an illness. He will be splitting carries this afternoon with Matt Forte and Bilal Powell and is not a recommended fantasy option.

Huddle Up: McGuire was listed as questionable on the injury report and did not practice at all during the week. Assuming he is active for this game, he will be splitting carries with Bilal Powell and Matt Forte, so he is not a recommended fantasy option.

Huddle Up: McGuire is a question mark for Sunday's game. If he is able to play he will split backfield touches with Matt Forte and Bilal Powell. McGuire is a RB4 or flex fantasy option at best in deeper leagues.

Huddle Up: It's only an illness, so there's still a good chance McGuire can make it back onto the practice field before the weekend. In any event, the sixth-round draft choice out of LSU is really someone that should be reserved for the deepest leagues, unless Matt Forte (knee) is unable to suit up, in which case McGuire merits a little more consideration for other formats.

Huddle Up: McGuire has a few days to recover from his illness and should be active for Week 16. He is coming off one of his better games of the season but will be facing a tough Los Angeles Chargers defense. He probably can stay on the bench in most fantasy leagues.

Huddle Up: McGuire showed some elusiveness and playmaking ability in his brief time on the field, seeing seven total touches to 13 for Bilal Powell. He might have carved out a bigger role for himself going forward, but his fantasy ceiling is still rather limited.

Huddle Up: The rookie running back had one carry for minus-3 yards before departing, and he wasn't likely to have a big role anyway with both Bilal Powell and Matt Forte healthy and available.

Huddle Up: In his last five games, McGuire has averaged 1.8, 2.2, 2.3, 2.0 and 2.3 yards per carry, respectively. That's Trent Richardson territory. With Bilal Powell and Matt Forte both producing it's unclear how long the team will continue to invest touches on McGuire, who did enjoy some success earlier this season. Whatever Todd Bowles decides, you should keep McGuire away from your lineup.

Huddle Up: McGuire received most of his work in the running game and was only able to rush for 22 yards. He should still have a role moving forward, but owners may want to consider keeping on the bench next week.

Huddle Up: McGuire did not do a lot in this game but may be the team's starting running back in Week 5 if Bilal Powell and Matt Forte are sidelined. He can be considered at least a flex option against the New England Patriots next week if he starts.

Huddle Up: McGuire was added to the committee at running back a few weeks ago and was a big factor for the Jets this week. He should have a similar role next week against the Cleveland Browns and could be a flex option in most leagues.
