Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones rushed 17 times for 78 yards and a touchdown in Week 14 against the Atlanta Falcons and he added three grabs for 28 yards on his three targets. He has at least one rushing score in five straight outings.

Huddle Up: Jones has scored six rushing touchdowns with a receiving score across the past five outings. He has emerged as a solid RB2 in most fantasy leagues. The Packers travel to meet the Bears in Week 15.

  • Posted: 12/2/2018 6:08pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones rushed 11 times for 36 yards and a touchdown in Week 13 against the Arizona Cardinals and he added four grabs for 16 yards.

Huddle Up: Jones is the lead back for the Pack and he will look for a little bit better productions against the Atlanta Falcons and their leaky defense in Week 14.

  • Posted: 11/25/2018 8:29pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones rushed 17 times for 72 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for 21 yards in a 24-14 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12.

Huddle Up: Jones had another solid performance as the centerpiece of the running attack, and he's a safe bet for RB2 production the rest of the way.

  • Posted: 11/15/2018 8:26pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones rushed 11 times for 40 yards and a touchdown and caught five passes for 63 yards and a score in a 27-24 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11.

Huddle Up: Jones has officially arrived as the lead back for the Packers, and better yet, he was utilized in the passing game. He's a reliable RB2 with RB1 upside the rest of the way.

  • Posted: 11/13/2018 11:11am ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones was given a vote of confidence by QB Aaron Rodgers, who said the Packers need to keep giving the second-year running back more opportunities. Rodgers added that Jones helped the offense secure first downs and was an asset in the red zone.

Huddle Up: It's unfortunate that it took Mike McCarthy and the coaching staff so long to feature Jones, who has clearly proven to be the best running back in Green Bay. As long as his recent usage continues, he's a solid RB2 candidate going forward.

  • Posted: 11/11/2018 7:10pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones rushed 15 times for 145 yards and two touchdowns and caught three passes for 27 yards in a 31-12 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 10.

Huddle Up: Jones dominated the backfield touches in this one, so Mike McCarthy may finally have realized that he is Green Bay's best back. He has legitimate RB1 potential going forward if he is allowed to lead the running attack.

  • Posted: 11/4/2018 8:44pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones rushed 14 times for 76 yards and caught two passes for 10 yards in a 31-17 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 9. He also lost a fumble.

Huddle Up: Jones continues to be the Packers most explosive and efficient option in the backfield, but the presence of Jamaal Williams relegates him to flex territory.

  • Posted: 10/28/2018 7:02pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones rushed 12 times for a season-high 86 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Huddle Up: Jones had his most yardage since he piled up a career-best 131 rushing yards on Oct. 22, 2017 against the New Orleans Saints. He looks like a decent RB3 or flex fantasy option as the lead back in Green Bay.

  • Posted: 10/15/2018 8:52pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones rushed eight times for 41 yards in the Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, Oct. 15 and he didn't have a catch on just one target.

Huddle Up: Jones actually led the team in rushing yardage, but that's not saying much. It was a pass-heavy offense for a majority of the game, much to the dismay of Jones and his fantasy owners. The Packers are off in Week 7.

  • Posted: 10/8/2018 12:12pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones appears unlikely to emerge from the team's three-headed backfield anytime soon, as head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters Monday, Oct. 8, that he would 'love' to get Jones more work before adding 'there's more to the position than just running the football.'

Huddle Up: McCarthy has become something of a villain in the fantasy community for his reluctance to give Jones the lead-back role, doing so because "we have diversity in our attack with three guys. All have excellent attributes." The Packers' lack of commitment to the running game is their biggest problem, but McCarthy's unwillingness to commit to one or two backs at the most is rendering each of them ineffective - in fantasy and reality. Until McCarthy's opinion changes, Jones will be nothing more than a high-upside flex option.

  • Posted: 10/7/2018 6:24pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones rushed seven times for 40 yards and caught two passes for 19 yards in a 31-23 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 5.

Huddle Up: The Packers fell behind early, forcing them to abandon Jones and the running game. A friendly matchup against the 49ers in Week 6 should return Jones to flex status.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 1:42pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones rushed 11 times for 65 yards and a touchdown in the Week 4 game against the Buffalo Bills and he added a 17-yard catch on his only target.

Huddle Up: Jones had 12 total touches after posting seven in his team debut last week. He is averaging a healthy 6.3 yards per rush so far on 17 rushes. He appears to be healthy and is worth scooping up as a low-end RB3 or flex fantasy option heading into Week 5 against the Lions.

  • Posted: 9/27/2018 6:06pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones has 'definitely got some explosiveness,' according to offensive coordinator Joe Philbin. 'There were a couple runs where he definitely made some things happen on his own,' Philbin said.

Huddle Up: Jones made his season debut in Week 3 and gained 42 yards on six carries. He could emerge as Green Bay's best early-down option as the season goes on, and he has some flex appeal against the Buffalo Bills in Week 4. Grab him off the waiver wire if he is available.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 8:39pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones rushed six times for 42 yards in Week 3 against the Washington Redskins and he added one catch for five yards.

Huddle Up: Jones led the team in rushing, averaging 7.0 yards per tote. He and Jamaal Williams could be a nice one-two punch going forward if they can stay healthy. If Jones is available off the waiver wire, now is a good time to squirrel him away. The Packers host the Bills in Week 4.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 9:39am ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones is active for the Week 3 game against the Washington Redskins on Sunday, Sept. 23. He missed the first two games while on suspension.

Huddle Up: The Packers might run more than usual with wet and rainy weather today in D.C., but it's tough to envision Jones suddenly being handed a heavy workload with Jamaal Williams and Ty Montgomery also in the mix. Aside from emergency roster situations, Jones might be best left on fantasy benches for Week 3 to see how the Pack's backfield workload plays out.

  • Posted: 9/19/2018 2:45pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones was activated from his two-game suspension Wednesday, Sept. 19. CB Deante Burton was released in a corresponding move.

Huddle Up: As stated previously, Jones won't immediately start upon his return. Jamaal Williams and Ty Montgomery will be playing ahead of him, so Jones will need to earn his way back. Keep him stashed on your bench this week.

  • Posted: 8/30/2018 10:13pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones carried nine times for 34 yards and a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday, Aug. 30. He added three receptions for 21 yards.

Huddle Up: Jones was one of the few recognizable Packers to suit up on Thursday, primarily because he'll be suspended for the first two games of the regular season. He has more explosiveness than backfield mate Jamaal Williams, but he's not as consistent, particularly as a blocker. While Jones is definitely worth stashing away, Williams is currently the top back in own in Green Bay.

  • Posted: 8/7/2018 11:40am ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is still not participating in practice Tuesday, Aug. 7.

Huddle Up: Jones has been out for about a week now. The longer he is idle the more concern grows. He's suspended for the first two games of the season, so he does have more time to recover. In the meantime, Jamaal Williams looks like a decent mid-round value pick and deserves more attention than he's receiving after scoring six times and totaling 818 yards as a rookie.

  • Posted: 8/2/2018 12:13pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Aug. 2.

Huddle Up: Jones hoped to return to practice by this time, but it appears he needs more time to heal from his injury. He is competing for the starting job and should have a solid role even if he does not start. He has a chance to be a No. 3 running back in some leagues.

  • Posted: 7/30/2018 12:10pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) said his injured hamstring is feeling good and expects to return to the practice field by Thursday, Aug. 2. He said he could play if the team had a game today.

Huddle Up: Jones is expected to be part of a committee this season, but his role is still uncertain at this point. Owners should monitor the situation during the preseason to see how he will be used on offense. He could be a No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy running back depending on his role.

  • Posted: 7/30/2018 8:26am ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) won't practice Monday, July 30, and there's no timetable for his return from hamstring tightness.

Huddle Up: Jones will miss the first two games, but his versatility gives him the best shot to come out ahead of the committee with Jamaal Williams and Ty Montgomery. Jones is an RB3 with boom-or-bust potential.

  • Posted: 7/17/2018 9:48pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones will end up as the team's starting running back this season in the opinion of USA Today Network Wisconsin's Stu Courtney.

Huddle Up: Courtney cites Jones' talent, favorably comparing his stats to those of Minnesota's Dalvin Cook, and the endorsement of Aaron Rodgers as the reasons that Jones will eventually become Green Bay's RB1. Between his two-game suspension and durability concerns dating back to UTEP, however, Jones still carries plenty of downside. Consider him a mid-round stash candidate.

  • Posted: 7/3/2018 1:07pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones has been suspended for the first two games of the 2018 season for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

Huddle Up: Jones was considered by many to be the best running back among Green Bay's backfield triumvirate. He still can be, but Jamaal Williams and Ty Montgomery have gained a little more value with Jones out two games. All three of them are now mid-round options.

  • Posted: 6/27/2018 11:32pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones needs to improve his work in pass protection to see more time on the field, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Aaron Nagler, who says Jones is lagging behind RB Jamaal Williams in that department.

Huddle Up: There's no doubt that keeping Aaron Rodgers healthy is the top priority in Green Bay, so Jones' shortcomings in that area could absolutely impact his fantasy value. While everyone is expecting a committee, it figures to be a fluid situation and one that should be monitored throughout the preseason.

  • Posted: 3/1/2018 11:17pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones pleaded no contest Wednesday, Feb. 28, to one of three charges filed against him stemming from an incident in which he was pulled over for speeding and admitted to having smoked marijuana. The judge accepted his plea to a traffic citation for driving with a controlled substance in his system, while dismissing tickets for speeding and operating without a license. Jones was fined $1,047, had his license suspended for six months and was ordered to undergo an alcohol assessment.

Huddle Up: The takeaway from this is that Jones will most likely face some sort of disciplinary action from the NFL under its substance-abuse policy. It would be unfortunate if this ultimately costs him playing time, too, as Jones enjoyed a fine rookie campaign for a fifth-round draft pick, finishing second on the club in carries and yards, and he also tied for the team lead in rushing touchdowns. He also averaged 5.5 yards per carry, so there is potential for the 23-year-old.

  • Posted: 2/11/2018 1:44pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones will work on strengthening his legs this offseason so he can hopefully avoid medial collateral ligament tears, according to running backs coach Ben Sirmans.

Huddle Up: Jones had a few good games this season but lost his job and could be the No. 3 running back in 2018. Owners should keep an eye on his situation next season because he could be a late-round option in deeper leagues if he has a solid role.

  • Posted: 12/28/2017 3:31pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) did not participate in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 28.

Huddle Up: With nothing to play for, the Packers might opt to hold Jones out, especially if he's not able to make it onto the practice field before the weekend. Even if he is active on Sunday, he'd be a very weak play, as Jamaal Williams is expected to dominate the work in the backfield no matter what.

  • Posted: 12/23/2017 7:37pm ET

Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) won't return against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16 after suffering a knee injury.

Huddle Up: Jamaal Williams should have the backfield all to himself for the remainder of the game, and if Jones can't play in the finale, Williams should be a solid flex play against the Detroit Lions.

  • Posted: 12/23/2017 6:47pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (ankle) suffered an ankle injury against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16 and is questionable to return.

Huddle Up: Jamaal Williams has already been serving as the lead back, and if Jones can't return, Williams should be in line for almost all the snaps the rest of the way against the Vikings and potentially in Week 17.

  • Posted: 12/17/2017 3:29pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones rushed three times for 47 yards in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers and he added a six-yard reception on two targets.

Huddle Up: Jones has not had nearly as many touches as Jamaal Williams over the past few games, but he has made the most of his touches and likely is carving out a bigger role going forward. The Vikings represent a difficult matchup on a short week Saturday in Week 16.
