Huddle Up: Stanton has little fantasy value unless Tyrod Taylor proves ineffective or is injured, but he will bring a veteran clubhouse presence to a team that was lost in 2017.

Huddle Up: Gabbert and Stanton fall far from the elite quarterback tree. Whether it's through free agency or the draft, Arizona will address the position this offseason. Odds are, though, that whoever starts will not be a reliable starting fantasy quarterback.

Huddle Up: Stanton was back under center and he did an adequate job, but he will likely remain a backup in 2018 and beyond.

Huddle Up: Well, just in case you needed another reason not to play Stanton this Sunday (and, for the record, you didn't) here it is. Suffice to say that Arians calling Stanton's number over a healthy Blaine Gabbert doesn't bode well for the latter's future in Arizona. In the short term, though, neither player would be a fantasy option.

Huddle Up: Stanton played fairly well in the two games he started this year, throwing for 473 total yards and three touchdowns. Of course, he's nowhere near good enough to be starting on fantasy championship squads, but he makes for a cheap DFS play.

Huddle Up: Gabbert earned the right to be under center for at least one more game after slicing up the vaunted Jacksonville Jaguars defense. Gabbert did throw an interception, but he was otherwise efficient throughout the game en route to a Cards win. Don't expect lightning to strike twice, though, as Gabbert faces another tough test in the Los Angeles Rams next week.

Huddle Up: Gabbert was a pleasant fantasy surprise in his first start of the season last week, although he did throw two interceptions. Unfortunately, Gabbert and the Cardinals face the Jacksonville Jaguars next week. Do not start Blaine Gabbert.

Huddle Up: Owners should monitor Stanton's practice participation next week to see if he has a chance to play in Week 11. Owners should avoid whoever the starting quarterback will be against the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: It could've been a banner day for Stanton, but his receivers left plays on the field, including a pair of potential touchdowns -- one before the half and the other near the end of the game. Stanton missed some throws as well. Even with that, Stanton's 273 passing yards were his most since 2014 when he threw for 294 against the Atlanta Falcons. It at least puts him on the radar as a desperation option.

Huddle Up: Stanton was helped out by the fact Adrian Peterson was running like his former All-Pro self and the fact the Cards were facing the hapless 49ers. Stanton and the Cardinals have a quick turnaround before facing the Seahawks on Thursday night.

Huddle Up: Stanton is expected to be the team's starting quarterback, as Carson Palmer suffered a broken arm and will be sidelined at least eight weeks if not for the season. The Cardinals have a bye in Week 8 to get Stanton ready for the stretch run.
