Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco will be the only quarterback that works with the first-team offense during offseason workouts, according to head coach Vic Fangio.

Huddle Up: Flacco likely needs to work with the starting offense this offseason since he is learning a new offense. He will have a solid group of receivers to work with in 2019 but has thrown less than 20 touchdowns in three of the last four seasons. He should only be a low-end No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues.

Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco is expected to be the team's starter for a while, according to GM John Elway, who said he envisioned Flacco and QB Drew Lock as a 'Brett Favre-Aaron Rodgers situation' with the Green Bay Packers.

Huddle Up: For those that need a refresher, the Packers drafted Rodgers in 2005 but did not start him until 2008. That would put Lock on track for the starting nod for the 2022 campaign. Of course, that ignores just how poorly Flacco has played in recent years, and given how much Elway has struggled with QBs in a post-Manning world you have to wonder how long the leash would be if Flacco continues to trend downwards. At this point it's hard to see much value in Flacco or Lock in single-year leagues.

Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco said Friday, March 15, that he's as healthy as he's ever been and is planning to be the team's quarterback solution for the foreseeable future. 'I hope they are dragging me out of this building a long time from now,' Flacco said.

Huddle Up: Flacco just turned 34, but with the myriad rules now favoring the offense and the passing game, quarterback lifespans certainly are longer than they used to be. If the Broncos can shore up their offensive line and add a pass-catching weapon or two -- namely a threat at tight end -- Flacco could be in line for a solid QB2 bounce-back fantasy season this fall.

  • Posted: 3/14/2019 11:57am ET

Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco is entering his prime, in the opinion of general manager John Elway. Denver's offensive system is similar to the system Flacco succeeded in with former Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator and former Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak. Furthermore, head coach Vic Fangio knows Flacco and coached with the Ravens when Flacco was there.

Huddle Up: The addition of Flacco was a divisive move by the Broncos. Flacco is 34 years old, so it's hard to believe he's in his prime. If Denver can get a couple solid years out of him then it will be a win. Nonetheless, he is not and has never been a reliable starting fantasy quarterback.

Updating previous reports, Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco has officially been traded from the Baltimore Ravens with the league's new year beginning Wednesday, March 13, at 4 p.m. EDT. Baltimore receives a 2019 fourth-round pick from Denver.

Huddle Up: Flacco is a fringe QB2 in deeper leagues and has a suspect cast of receiving options at his disposal. Look for safer options or players with far more upside to man your backup spot.

  • Posted: 2/18/2019 12:23pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco passed his physical, making it possible for the Broncos and Baltimore Ravens to make their traded official in March. The Broncos agreed to trade the better of their fourth-round picks for Flacco.

Huddle Up: The move came at the bewilderment of many, with Flacco's ceiling being about as high as Case Keenum's. Nonetheless, Flacco has proven to be a backup fantasy quarterback throughout his mediocre career.

  • Posted: 2/17/2019 11:49am ET

Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco also was coveted by the Washington Redskins, helping spark the Broncos to make the trade with the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Huddle Up: Just as the QB he is replacing (Case Keenum) was in 2018, value Flacco as a mid-to-low-end QB2 next season in an offense that isn't expected to feature a high volume of passes.

  • Posted: 2/16/2019 8:32am ET

The Denver Broncos will not restructure the contract of QB Joe Flacco after agreeing to acquire him from the Baltimore Ravens earlier this week. He is slated to make $18.5 million in 2019, $20.25 million in 2020 and $24.25 million in 2021, although none of it is guaranteed.

Huddle Up: Flacco should be viewed as a QB2 in the majority of fantasy formats, with the potential to be a suitable bye-week replacement or starting option when he possesses a favorable matchup.

  • Posted: 2/13/2019 11:58am ET

Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum is on the trading block in light of QB Joe Flacco being acquired. If a trade cannot be executed, Keenum will either take a big pay cut or just be released.

Huddle Up: Keenum is off the fantasy radar for now. On most other teams he'd be a quality backup, not a starter.

  • Posted: 2/13/2019 8:05am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco is part of an agreement in principle to be traded to the Denver Broncos Wednesday, Feb. 13. The trade can't become official until March 13.

Huddle Up: The trade moves the needle more in actual football than in fantasy football. Flacco will remain a QB2 option to be used in good matchups. Case Keenum could still have a chance to compete, or he could be released altogether.

  • Posted: 1/25/2019 9:27am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco is expected to part ways with the Ravens this offseason, and ideally the Ravens would like to find a trade partner to acquire the veteran quarterback. To that end, head coach John Harbaugh said Flacco's 'value is high' in a news conference Friday, Jan. 26, and added he can be 'one of the best' in the league if he's protected well and playing with suitable weapons on offense.

Huddle Up: In a QB-needy league, some team will likely pursue Flacco, but the statistical backing isn't on the veteran QB's side as Flacco has averaged a ho-hum 3,729 passing yards 19 TDs and 14 interceptions over his last two full seasons. He's more journeyman than elite at this stage entering his 12th season.

  • Posted: 1/19/2019 10:42am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco and Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles could receive interest from the Denver Broncos this offseason, in the opinion of 9News.com's Mike Klis.

Huddle Up: Flacco and Foles likely will receive interest from multiple teams, so it is not known if the Broncos will be able to add one of them. The Broncos probably will bring in another quarterback to compete with Case Keenum for the starting job next season. Owners should consider the Broncos starting quarterback as a No. 2 fantasy option next season.

  • Posted: 1/12/2019 12:49pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco is one of the quarterbacks the Jacksonville Jaguars are considering pursuing this offseason, according to sources. Flacco is believed to be open to joining the Jaguars.

Huddle Up: Flacco lost his starting job this season and likely will be playing with a new team in 2019. The Jaguars would have to trade for him, but he would be the starting quarterback if he joins the Jaguars. He has played well at times during his career but would only be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback if he plays for Jacksonville.

  • Posted: 12/16/2018 9:22am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco has been replaced by rookie Lamar Jackson as the team's starter and is not expected back with the team next season. 'Look at Flacco's future: He's 33 years old, he's set to make $18.5 million dollars next year,' the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Sunday, Dec. 16 on NFL Game Day Morning. 'The Ravens are expected to move on from him this offseason. They'll incur $16 million of dead money, but, of course, they're not going to bring him back as a backup making $16 million. All of which is to say if Flacco decides he wants to continue playing, he's actually going to be a fairly coveted free agent this offseason. Rarely do starting quarterbacks become available, and Joe Flacco absolutely is.'

Huddle Up: Flacco averaged 273.9 passing yards per game this season with 12 TD passes and six interceptions as a low-end QB2 and will be at or near the top of the list of the veteran QBs available.

  • Posted: 12/12/2018 8:26am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco has been replaced by QB Lamar Jackson as the starting quarterback Wednesday, Dec. 12.

Huddle Up: Flacco can be dropped in all formats except deep dynasty formats. He's likely to get another chance to start in the offseason.

  • Posted: 12/7/2018 1:20pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (right hip) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 7 and he is listed as questionable for Week 14 against the Kansas City Chiefs. According to beat writer Jamison Hensley, Flacco appeared to have a hitch when he moved around, and he stretched out his hip at times during practice.

Huddle Up: Flacco is likely to dress as the backup, but it will be Lamar Jackson serving as the starter. Avoid using Flacco until he can officially return and knock off the rust. With the Ravens winning, Jackson probably should be the starter anyway.

  • Posted: 12/7/2018 10:25am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) was a full participant in practice Friday, Dec. 7, and there's a solid chance he'll be cleared to play in Week 14. Asked if he could back up Lamar Jackson on Sunday, head coach John Harbaugh told reporters: ' Yeah, there's a scenario for that, sure.'

Huddle Up: While the rookie Jackson is expected to start a fourth straight game Sunday, there would a much greater chance he wouldn't finish if he struggles early or the Ravens fall way behind the high-powered Chiefs and Flacco, the better pure passer, is active and available.

  • Posted: 12/6/2018 2:54pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

Huddle Up: Flacco's status for Week 14 is still uncertain at this point, and it is not known if he will start if he is active for the game. Owners in all leagues probably should look for other options to use and can avoid Flacco.

  • Posted: 12/6/2018 9:48am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) was practicing again Thursday, Dec. 6, and appeared to be moving around noticeably better than the previous week.

Huddle Up: Flacco is on the verge of being healthy enough to play. Head coach John Harbaugh hasn't said whether the veteran or rookie Lamar Jackson, who has guided the team to three straight wins, would be the team's starter at that point, but the coach has hinted that both could see snaps in games, which, of course, would be a fantasy nightmare.

  • Posted: 12/5/2018 1:58pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

Huddle Up: Flacco hasn't been ruled out as the starting quarterback this week, although with rookie Lamar Jackson running the show the team has been winning. It's uncertain if John Harbaugh would risk messing with the team's chemistry right now, so Flacco would be wearing a baseball cap while carrying a clipboard even if he is healthy.

  • Posted: 11/29/2018 9:41am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) returned to practice Thursday, Nov. 29, as he deals with a hip injury.

Huddle Up: This is Flacco's first practice since he suffered the injury in Week 9, so rookie Lamar Jackson looks locked in to start a third-straight game. Flacco, though, will make the Baltimore QB decision interesting, though, for Week 14 if can keep progressing.

  • Posted: 11/28/2018 10:52am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) is not practicing Wednesday, Nov. 28.

Huddle Up: Lamar Jackson has already been named the starter for Week 13. Flacco won't return until he can get in a full week of practice. Jackson's fantasy appeal is evident, but his ability as a passer lowers his ceiling.

  • Posted: 11/27/2018 4:30pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) is expected to put in a full week of practice before he potentially returns as the starting quarterback, according to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec. Flacco has not practiced in over three weeks.

Huddle Up: It's Lamar Jackson's team for the time being, and he has a favorable schedule going forward from a fantasy perspective. Unfortunately, we can't trust him as a passer, so plugging him in as a starter is risky.

  • Posted: 11/27/2018 3:46pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson will make his third straight start in Week 13 as QB Joe Flacco (hip) has not been cleared to play yet. Flacco could be cleared in the coming days, however.

Huddle Up: Jackson has held his own with the aid of his legs, leading the Ravens to a 2-0 record over the last two games. His passing needs improvement, though, and is why he can't be trusted as a fantasy starter.

  • Posted: 11/26/2018 2:43pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) is scheduled to meet with a doctor Monday, Nov. 26, to see if he will be able to participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 28. The team is concerned about the strength of Flacco's hip and the potential of him dislocating the hip if he returns too soon.

Huddle Up: Flacco has missed the last two games and could sit out again this week depending on his recovery. Lamar Jackson has been playing well since taking over the job and can be a low-end No. 1 fantasy quarterback in some leagues if he starts in Week 13.

  • Posted: 11/26/2018 1:17pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QBs Joe Flacco (hip) and Lamar Jackson could be used 'a significant amount' at the same time once Flacco returns, according to head coach John Harbaugh. 'We'll just do what gives us the best chance [to win] and try to use all of our players the best way we can,' Harbaugh said.

Huddle Up: Jackson's running ability makes him a better fantasy asset than Flacco, but Flacco is the more reliable passer. Unfortunately, neither of them are a reliable fantasy option, individually or together.

  • Posted: 11/23/2018 9:00am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) is out of practice again Friday, Nov. 23.

Huddle Up: He's likely out again this week. Lamar Jackson has some upside against the futile Oakland Raiders. Look at him as a midrange QB1.

  • Posted: 11/22/2018 3:36pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 22.

Huddle Up: It appears like Lamar Jackson will receive another start with Flacco still not able to practice. Jackson could be a low-end No. 1 fantasy quarterback in some deeper leagues and daily fantasy leagues because of the favorable matchup.

  • Posted: 11/21/2018 4:43pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Huddle Up: Flacco missed the Week 11 game and could sit again if he does not practice at some point this week. Lamar Jackson likely would receive another start this week if Flacco is ruled out and could be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in deeper leagues because of the matchup.

  • Posted: 11/19/2018 11:42am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) has 'a chance' to play in Week 12 against the Oakland Raiders, according to head coach John Harbaugh. 'It's not a surgical thing. It's a calming down type of thing with the hip,' Harbaugh said.

Huddle Up: Harbaugh praised rookie Lamar Jackson for his work in Week 11 but certainly doesn't seem willing to commit to him yet. As recently as Saturday, Flacco was considered to be a longshot to play in Week 12, and one would have to expect that is still the case. It should be interesting to see if Jackson can persuade his coaches to go in a different direction after Week 12 if he can put together a good showing against the Oakland Raiders.

  • Posted: 11/17/2018 11:16pm ET

Updating previous reports, Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) will not require surgery on his injured hip, according to a source. However, he will not play Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals and is 'in jeopardy' of missing Week 12 versus the Oakland Raiders. First-round pick Lamar Jackson is expected to start and see the majority of the snaps in his absence.

Huddle Up: Regardless of whether the Ravens know if they are ready to move on from Flacco at the moment, Jackson could force their hand by sparking the offense in what should be a favorable matchup. One of the most dynamic athletes to come out of college in years - especially at the quarterback position- Jackson's fantasy upside is immense given his ability to turn any play into a touchdown as a runner or passer.

  • Posted: 11/17/2018 9:12pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) is not expected to play against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11, according to a source.

Huddle Up: With Flacco sidelined, Lamar Jackson is expected to be the starter. There are plenty of questions about the rookie, but his running ability gives him a high ceiling.

  • Posted: 11/16/2018 12:28pm ET

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 16, and is listed as doubtful for Week 11.

Huddle Up: Flacco likely will not be able to play this week, but owners can check the inactive list to make sure. Lamar Jackson could be the starting quarterback against the Cincinnati Bengals but should be avoided in most leagues.

  • Posted: 11/16/2018 8:53am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) remains out of practice Friday, Nov. 16.

Huddle Up: Even if Flacco goes, and it doesn't look like he will, he's not an option in traditional fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 11/15/2018 10:39am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) missed practice Thursday, Nov. 15, with a hip injury.

Huddle Up: No shocker here as Flacco isn't likely to try and practice until Friday. And even if he doesn't he still could play Sunday against the Bengals. Stay tuned ...

  • Posted: 11/15/2018 9:13am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) doesn't necessarily need to practice to play in Week 11 as he deals with a hip injury. 'Joe Flacco is really a pretty tough dude. Rarely misses practice. Almost never does it,' NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Thursday, Nov. 15. 'The fact that he was not out there is a pretty important sign that he may not be able to play on Sunday. I know just a couple days ago he was spotted in the Baltimore area on crutches. But I also know that Ravens have said 'Flacco does not need to actually practice to play.' '

Huddle Up: The Ravens are holding out hope for the veteran quarterback after he missed practice Wednesday, and let's see what develops over the next three days. Flacco's presence would be better for the fantasy prospects of the team's pass-catchers, but rookie Lamar Jackson offers undeniable upside with his legs.

  • Posted: 11/14/2018 10:51am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) is not practicing Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Huddle Up: The Ravens haven't been clear on who will start if Flacco can't, but it will be either Robert Griffin III or Lamar Jackson. Jackson has been more involved this year and gives the Ravens a more athletic threat, so the Ravens could just be keeping the Cincinnati Bengals on their toes. Jackson would make for a quiet start in superflex leagues.

  • Posted: 11/12/2018 12:58pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) is receiving treatment on his injured hip but head coach John Harbaugh is hopeful he can play. Harbaugh added that Flacco doesn't need to practice this week in order to play. If he can't play then QBs Robert Griffin III and Lamar Jackson would both have a chance to start.

Huddle Up: If the Ravens choose to hold out Flacco this week then Jackson would seemingly have the inside track to start as he has been more involved in the offense this year and gives the Ravens more athleticism at the position.

  • Posted: 11/9/2018 7:34pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) is seeking medical opinions for his injured hip, and extended rest and surgery are both potential options.

Huddle Up: At best, Flacco's status is up in the air going forward, making Lamar Jackson an appealing waiver wire target.

  • Posted: 11/9/2018 2:00pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) suffered a hip injury in Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers that has put his status 'in question' for Week 11 versus the Cincinnati Bengals.

Huddle Up: Flacco has only missed six games in his NFL career - all of which came when he suffered a torn ACL in 2015. There were already rumors Flacco's job security was in question, so owners may be on the verge of seeing what first-round rookie Lamar Jackson can do in a full game. Jackson's mobility makes him an extremely high-upside fantasy option, and one worth adding in most leagues if owners can find the room to do so.

  • Posted: 11/5/2018 1:32pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco will remain the starting quarterback despite QB Lamar Jackson playing well, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

Huddle Up: Baltimore's offense really sputtered in a quality matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9. They'll have a big opportunity to make up for that this week in another tasty matchup versus the Cincinnati Bengals. Don't bench your Ravens just yet.

  • Posted: 11/5/2018 12:51pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco will remain the team's starting quarterback through the Week 10 bye, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

Huddle Up: Flacco was dealing in September (eight touchdowns versus two interceptions), but he has mostly reverted back to his old form since (four TDs, four picks). With Harbaugh possibly on the hot seat and a first-round quarterback waiting in the wings in Lamar Jackson, Flacco probably needs to lead the Ravens to victory in Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals or Week 12 versus the Oakland Raiders to remain the starter.

  • Posted: 11/4/2018 2:03pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco went 23-for-37 for 209 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9.

Huddle Up: Flacco has been held to under 240 yards in three of his last four games and has four touchdowns and three interceptions during that span. He will be facing the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11 and probably can be avoided.

  • Posted: 10/28/2018 1:18pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco completed 22-of-39 passes for 192 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions in Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers. He was removed late in the game and QB Lamar Jackson tossed a TD.

Huddle Up: The game was out of hand at 36-14, so it might not necessarily mean a change is coming under center. Still, Average Joe is back in Charm City and fans will be clamoring for the rookie. Flacco will have to start producing better results or the coaching staff might also be tempted to start Jackson sooner rather than later.

  • Posted: 10/21/2018 11:58pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco completed 23 of 39 passes for 279 yards and 2 TDs against the New Orleans Saints in Week 7.

Huddle Up: Flacco played well against the Saints, accounting for nearly 300 yards and a pair of TDs without a turnover. The veteran has a reputation for not being a very good fantasy QB, but his numbers this season suggest he's playable in the right matchups. Carry Flacco as a backup and check back for his weekly outlook before deciding whether to start him.

  • Posted: 10/7/2018 1:46pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco completed 29-of-56 passes for 298 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns.

Huddle Up: The yardage total was OK from a fantasy perspective, but he was blanked in the touchdown department in a game which featured five field goals and just one offensive TD by Cleveland. He'll look for better results in Week 6 at Tennessee, but treat Flacco as more of a low-end QB2 in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 10/5/2018 8:06pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco's yards per pass attempt has jumped from 5.72 in 2017 to 7.32 this season, and he is on pace to set a new career high in passing yards.

Huddle Up: With better weapons at his disposal, Flacco is headed for one of the best seasons of his career and has emerged as a quality QB2 candidate.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 9:20pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco completed 28 of his 42 passes for 363 yards and two touchdowns in a 26-14 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4.

Huddle Up: It was Flacco's second 300-yard effort of the year and his third game with multiple scores. With an upgraded receiving corps, he has become a viable QB2 option.

  • Posted: 9/13/2018 8:50pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco threw 376 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions on 32-for-55 passing Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Cincinnati Bengals. Flacco also lost a fumble.

Huddle Up: The yardage and pair of scores were nice, but he lost a little luster in leagues that heavily deduct for turnovers. Flacco returns home for a Week 3 title with the Denver Broncos and should be closer to a reserve than a starter in fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 9/9/2018 4:59pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco completed 25-of-34 passes for 236 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 1 rout of the Buffalo Bills.

Huddle Up: Flacco spread it around to his new receivers, hitting newcomers John Brown, Michael Crabtree and Willie Snead with touchdown strikes. It's unlikely they'll post 47 points on a weekly basis, but the Baltimore offense looks to have a lot more weapons and therefore Flacco has a little more fantasy appeal than recent seasons. It's a quick turnaround for the Ravens, as they hit the road for Cincinnati on Thursday to kick off Week 2.
