Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate caught four passes for seven yards against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12. He also rushed for 13 yards on two carries during the game.

Huddle Up: Tate was not able to get on track against the Vikings and has been held to 39 receiving yards in the last two games. He continues to be one of the top targets in the passing game for the Lions and can be considered a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13.

  • Posted: 11/19/2017 2:36pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate racked up three receptions for 32 yards in Week 11 against the Chicago Bears on four targets.

Huddle Up: Tate tied a season-low with just three receptions. He also had three catches in Week 4 against the Vikings, the team's next opponent in Week 12 on Thanksgiving.

  • Posted: 11/14/2017 5:22pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (shoulder) has played only 59.2 percent of his team's snaps since suffering a Week 6 shoulder injury that was expected to keep him out multiple weeks. Over that same time, Tate has posted at least 85 receiving yards in every game - the only player in the NFL to put together such a streak that long in the last two years.

Huddle Up: He's also caught at least six passes in each of those games, making him a veritable PPR goldmine over the last month. Tate is a handful for many of the league's best corners, but spends much of his time in the slot, increasing his potential to catch Matthew Stafford's eye on a regular basis. Tate's relative lack of touchdowns keeps him from entering the high-end WR1 conversation, but he offers one of the safest floors among receivers in fantasy year after year.

  • Posted: 11/6/2017 8:51pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate caught seven of nine targets for 113 yards in the team's Week 9 win Monday, Nov. 6, versus the Green Bay Packers. It was a season high for Tate in receiving yardage.

Huddle Up: This was also the second time Tate has reached the 100-yard plateau this season, and first since the opening week, when he had 10 catches for 107 yards against Arizona. Owners would surely like more touchdowns, as the former Seahawk has just two on the campaign, but overall, Tate is a fine WR2 option to trot out on a weekly basis due to his excessive number of targets. Hopefully he's able to pad his touchdown total through the second half of the year.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 8:53pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate hauled in seven receptions for 86 yards on eight targets in Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also lost a fumble.

Huddle Up: Tate was gimpy in practice after an ankle injury last week in New Orleans, but he quickly shook that off and had a nice game for fantasy owners. He did not seem to have any restrictions or a snap count in this one, and he can be trusted heading into Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 4:15pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (shoulder) is active for the Week 8 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Huddle Up: Tate was listed as questionable due to an AC joint sprain, but he made it through all three practice sessions this week as well as satisfying the coaching staff with the pregame workouts. We'll keep an eye on him to see if he plays a decreased amount of snaps or he can play without limitations.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 6:06am ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (shoulder) is preparing to play in Week 8's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Tate was listed as questionable on the injury report due to an AC joint sprain but was able to take part in all three practice sessions during the week. The Lions have a Sunday night game this week and Tate could see a limited number of snaps, making him a very risky fantasy option. If he is active, he should be viewed as a WR3.

  • Posted: 10/27/2017 1:14pm ET

Updating a previous report, Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 27, and is listed as questionable for Week 8.

Huddle Up: Tate appears to have a decent chance to play but owners will need to check the inactive list to see if he will be in uniform. He is a risky option since the Lions play on Sunday Night Football, so owners will need other options available if they want to use Tate. He will be facing one of the best passing defenses in the NFL but can still be a No. 3 receiver in most leagues if he is active.

  • Posted: 10/27/2017 8:40am ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (shoulder) is practicing Friday, Oct. 27.

Huddle Up: It's unknown if he was a full participant, but his week-long participation bodes well for him playing this week. He would be a WR3 option against the New Orleans Saints due to possible limitations.

  • Posted: 10/26/2017 1:20pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 26.

Huddle Up: Tate may be a game-time decision this week, so owners should keep an eye on the situation. He is a solid fantasy option when he is healthy, but owners will need other options available in case he is ruled out for the game.

  • Posted: 10/26/2017 9:40am ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (shoulder) said he's rehabbing his shoulder hard, but he doesn't know if he'll be ready for Week 8.

Huddle Up: We'll know more Friday, but it's hard to lean on him this week as he could be limited against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

  • Posted: 10/25/2017 3:14pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 25.

Huddle Up: Tate reportedly had his arm in a sling and was expected to miss 'a few weeks', so it's a good sign he was able to do anything. Even though he was able to practice, wait until Friday when the official injury report comes out before deciding on him if you normally rely upon him in fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 10/25/2017 11:46am ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (shoulder) participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 25.

Huddle Up: Reports over the weekend stated Tate's arm was in a sling and previous reports suggested Tate would miss 'a few weeks' with a sprained AC joint, so any kind of practice qualifies as amazing progress. Skepticism is advised here, and the fact Detroit plays on Sunday night means owners should not count on him this weekend. However, until more information becomes available, it appears Tate's absence may not be as long as initially thought.

  • Posted: 10/16/2017 10:14am ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (shoulder) is scheduled to undergo an MRI soon, but the expectation is he will miss 'some time,' according to a source.

Huddle Up: Tate and his fantasy owners catch a bit of a break with Detroit on bye in Week 7, but the source believes he will miss a few weeks, leaving the Lions without their top receiver. His expected absence could free up targets in the slot for Eric Ebron or help the team get Theo Riddick more involved in the passing game once again. Detroit could also be getting Kenny Golladay from a hamstring injury, although he is not going to replace Tate's snaps in the slot.

  • Posted: 10/15/2017 5:56pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury late in the third quarter of the Week 6 game against the New Orleans Saints.

Huddle Up: Tate had a nice game, so hopefully this injury isn't something to keep him out long. The good news is that he has two weeks to rest with the bye Week 7.

  • Posted: 10/15/2017 4:54pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate racked up seven receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown on seven targets in the Week 6 game against the New Orleans Saints.

Huddle Up: Tate had his largest yardage total since he opened the season with 107 yards on 10 grabs in Week 1 against the Cardinals. He has been a bit erratic so far this season, but he has WR3 potential when the matchup is favorable. Unfortunately the Lions have a bye in Week 7.

  • Posted: 10/13/2017 9:06pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate faces the New Orleans Saints in Week 6, and he has averaged eight catches for 115 yards and a touchdown in his last three meetings with the Saints.

Huddle Up: Tate leads the team in targets, receptions and yards, and he should be a strong WR2 in a friendly matchup against the Saints.

  • Posted: 10/8/2017 3:25pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate managed five catches for 48 yards on eight targets in Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers.

Huddle Up: Tate has 29 grabs on 40 targets through five games which is good for fantasy owners, but he hasn't had a 100-yard game since Week 1 while visiting the end zone just once back in Week 3. Both of those streaks could end in Week 6 when he faces a favorable matchup down in New Orleans.

  • Posted: 10/1/2017 3:02pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate posted three receptions for 29 yards on five targets in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings and he added one run for just two yards.

Huddle Up: There will be better days for Tate. He has been limited to 14 receptions for just 112 yards over the past three games after exploding for 107 receiving yards in Week 1. He still has 24 grabs over his four games and remains a decent PPR fantasy option heading into Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers.

  • Posted: 9/18/2017 8:50pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate posted four catches for 25 yards in Week 2 against the New York Giants on Monday, Sept. 18.

Huddle Up: Tate had four of the six catches by Detroit wide receivers, but no one really had a huge night with an offense that was run heavy. He'll look for better results in Week 3 against the visiting Falcons.

  • Posted: 9/16/2017 11:25am ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (finger) fully participated in practice Saturday, Sept. 16, and is not on the injury report for Week 2.

Huddle Up: Tate recorded 10 catches and 107 yards in Week 1 and will continue to be a focal point in the passing game. He will be facing a tougher defense this week but should still be at least a No. 2 fantasy receiver in all leagues.

  • Posted: 9/15/2017 2:32pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (finger) practiced in full Friday, Sept. 15.

Huddle Up: Tate is expected to play without a hitch Monday night. The matchup is difficult, so he's a low-end WR2, in best-case scenario this week.

  • Posted: 9/14/2017 1:30pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (finger) was limited in practice Thursday, Sept. 14.

Huddle Up: Tate doesn't appear to be in serious jeopardy of missing out on Week 2, but his status should be tracked heading into the weekend nonetheless. Assuming he's good to go, he's a solid WR2 play.

  • Posted: 9/10/2017 4:34pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate posted game highs with 10 receptions and 107 yards in Week 1 against the Cardinals. He was targeted 12 times.

Huddle Up: Tate is Matthew Stafford's top target and he certainly looked the part in the opener. Despite the fact he drew Patrick Peterson in cover, he showed well. He'll look to build on this effort into Week 2 at N.Y. Giants. Tate remains a WR2 in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 8/25/2017 6:59pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate caught all five passes thrown his way for 62 yards against the New England Patriots in the preseason Friday, Aug. 25.

Huddle Up: Tate looked every bit the part of Matthew Stafford's go-to target, and he should be one of the safest WR2 options, especially in PPR formats.

  • Posted: 8/22/2017 6:30am ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate could play more in the slot with WR Kenny Golladay potentially ready for a starting spot outside.

Huddle Up: Tate is built more like a slot receiver, and he doesn't get enough credit for what he has done the last three seasons somewhat out of position on the outside. He'll remain their top receiving option, and the move could only be a positive. He's a strong WR2 in fantasy.

  • Posted: 7/16/2017 5:11pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate has the sixth-most receptions in the NFL since signing with Detroit in 2014, and he has reached 90 receptions in all three seasons with the team.

Huddle Up: Tate is locked in as Matthew Stafford's go-to option. He is an underrated WR2 with a high floor in PPR formats.

  • Posted: 7/12/2017 7:09am ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate was seventh in the NFL last season with 153 receiving yards after contact.

Huddle Up: Tate started slowly, but he ended up with a 91-1,077-4 line. He's an underrated WR2 in fantasy.

  • Posted: 7/10/2017 9:38pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate has forced 53 missed tackles since 2015, the most in the NFL by a wide receiver over that span.

Huddle Up: Tate has been a target and reception machine since joining Detroit in 2014, racking up at least 90 catches and drawing more than 125 targets in each of his three years with the Lions. Considering his talents and the high-powered offense he plays in with Matthew Stafford under center, it looks like Tate can be relied upon again as a WR2 in 2017.

  • Posted: 2/25/2017 9:22pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate averaged 3.4 catches, 6.1 targets and 26.8 yards per game over the first five games of 2016, but he posted per-game averages of 6.7 catches, 9.5 targets and 85.7 yards over the final 11 games.

Huddle Up: Despite the slow start, Tate reached 90 receptions for the third straight year and topped 1,000 yards. He should be a dependable WR2 in PPR formats in 2017.

  • Posted: 12/26/2016 9:50pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate posted six receptions for 58 yards on his six targets in the Week 16 game against the Dallas Cowboys Monday, Dec. 26.

Huddle Up: Tate's production has been erratic lately, posting 100-yard games in two of the past four while sandwiched around a pair of mediocre performances. He does have six or more grabs in four straight and eight of the past 10 to help those in PPR fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 12/18/2016 2:05pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate caught eight of his 13 targeted passes for 122 yards in a 17-6 loss to the New York Giants.

Huddle Up: One of his passes was a 67-yard strike from Matthew Stafford, and that was more a victim of the Giants giving up big plays than anything else. If Tate can do this against a defense like New York, however, then he's worth starting as a WR1.

  • Posted: 12/11/2016 8:50pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate picked up six receptions for 58 yards on a game-high 11 targets in the Week 14 game against the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: Tate has totaled 19 catches for 280 yards and a touchdown over the past three games. He has re-emerged as a useful WR3 in most fantasy formats after a touch stretch in early November.

  • Posted: 12/4/2016 2:42pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate finished with eight catches and 145 yards, including a 66-yard touchdown scamper, in a 28-13 win over the New Orleans Saints.

Huddle Up: Tate took advantage of a porous Saints pass defense on his long touchdown, but the bigger story is how well Tate did overall. Take away that long TD and he still had 79 receiving yards. Tate is a strong WR1 on a Lions squad with plenty of pass-catching options.
