Oakland Raiders WR Brandon LaFell checked in with four grabs and 47 yards on six targets in the Week 10 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Huddle Up: LaFell is starting to get more comfortable and more involved in the Oakland offense, stepping up to try and fill the void left by the departed Amari Cooper. Still, he remains nothing more than a WR5 in deeper fantasy leagues heading into Week 11 against the Arizona Cardinals.

  • Posted: 10/30/2018 8:42pm ET

Oakland Raiders WR Brandon LaFell's 46 snaps in Week 8 were six more than he had played the rest of the year combined, and offensive coordinator Greg Olson said he expects more of the same going forward. 'He stepped up for us last week and we foresee them doing that again in the future,' Olson said

Huddle Up: With Amari Cooper out of the mix, someone has to catch passes in Oakland. If you need receiver depth, LaFell could be worth adding in case he becomes one of Derek Carr's top targets the rest of the way.

  • Posted: 8/2/2018 7:07am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell was granted his release Thursday, Aug. 2, according to his agent, Jonathan Feinsod.

Huddle Up: LaFell had a 52-548-3 season last year and turns 32 in November. It's possible he lands on his feet and is worthy of a WR5 flyer, but there are younger options in that pool with more upside.

  • Posted: 3/10/2018 9:55am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell could be released this offseason in part because the team would create $4 million in salary cap space. The team could also cut LaFell in order to give more playing time to the younger receivers on the roster.

Huddle Up: LaFell has been a starting receiver for the Bengals over the last two seasons but posted only 548 yards this past season. He could receive some interest if he is released but would not be a great fantasy option.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 4:12pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell posted four receptions for just eight yards in Week 16 against the Detroit Lions.

Huddle Up: The four catches were nice, but he has been awful in terms of average yards per grab, especially over his past three games. He just nine receptions for 85 yards during the unimpressive span.

  • Posted: 12/17/2017 1:25pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell caught two passes for 53 yards against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15.

Huddle Up: LaFell has been targeted at least six times in each of the last four games but has not posted more than 55 yards in any of those games. He will continue to be a starter for the Bengals but is not a great fantasy option.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 3:34pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell finished with three receptions for 24 yards and a touchdown on six targets in Week 14 against the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: LaFell has three or more receptions in five straight outings, and eight of the past nine games. He has emerged as a decent WR4 in PPR fantasy leagues, with much less value in standard formats.

  • Posted: 12/4/2017 10:57pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell finished with four catches on seven targets for 55 yards in the team's Week 13 loss Monday, Dec. 4, versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Huddle Up: The targets are usually there for LaFell, who has garnered at least six throws in half of his games this season, but the results simply are not, as this was only his second game with more than 45 yards. Thus, LaFell is really just a desperate play and should be reserved only for the deepest of leagues out there.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 1:47pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell finished with three receptions for 33 yards on six targets in Week 12 against the Cleveland Browns.

Huddle Up: LaFell exploded for 95 yards and a touchdown in Week 10, but is back to mediocrity over the past two outings with six grabs for just 70 yards and no scores. He remains nothing more than a WR5 in most fantasy formats heading into Week 13 against the Steelers on Monday night.

  • Posted: 11/23/2017 11:49am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) was a full practice participant Thursday, Nov. 23.

Huddle Up: LaFell has produced one game with over 50 yards this season. He's too hit or miss, mostly miss, to be trusted as a starter. Plus, the Cleveland Browns have actually defended the pass well this year.

  • Posted: 11/22/2017 2:22pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) was able to practice on a limited basis Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Huddle Up: LaFell has at least two grabs in each of his past seven games and he has been targeted at least five times in five of his past six. He remains a decent WR4 or WR5 in most PPR fantasy formats, with lesser value in standard play.

  • Posted: 11/17/2017 12:29pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 17, but is listed as questionable for Week 11.

Huddle Up: LaFell is coming off a terrific Week 10 performance but will be facing a tougher opponent in the Denver Broncos. He continues to have a solid role in the passing game but can be avoided because of the matchup.
