Buffalo Bills RB Chris Ivory would be the first option at the position if RB LeSean McCoy is not available.

Huddle Up: Shady is embattled in an off-the-field issue, and there's always the chance that the league acts. Due to previous litmus tests, McCoy's situation will probably drag out long enough to avoid ramifications before the beginning of the season. Ivory is on the apex between RB3 and RB4 status in fantasy.

Free-agent RB Chris Ivory (Jaguars) is expected to sign a two-year deal with the Buffalo Bills Tuesday, March 6.

Huddle Up: Ivory will presumably be the short-yardage back for Shady McCoy. He'll have more value in TD-only leagues and be a RB4 in traditional formats.

  • Posted: 2/27/2018 5:25am ET

Free-agent RB Chris Ivory (Jaguars) visited with the Buffalo Bills Monday, Feb. 26, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Ivory can still be productive, but he's a situational back with a lengthy injury history. He'll be a committee back with RB4 potential in fantasy.

  • Posted: 1/31/2018 7:47pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory 'sure seems like a goner at this point,' according to Mike Kaye of FirstCoastNews.com. He added that 'dropping Ivory would be nothing short of a formality at this point,' even though his contract still has 'plenty' of dead money.

Huddle Up: Ivory wasn't even active for the Jaguars' last two postseason games, so the writing is pretty much on the wall. Obviously, Leonard Fournette is the main guy in the backfield moving forward, and with younger options in Corey Grant and T.J. Yeldon behind him, it indeed looks like Ivory will be moving on. It remains to be seen if he can be a relevant fantasy option in 2018.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (back, elbow) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 22, but is not on the injury report for Week 16.

Huddle Up: Ivory likely will serve as the team's No. 2 running back this week with Leonard Fournette back in the lineup and should be avoided in all leagues since he will only see a few touches.

  • Posted: 12/21/2017 2:05pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (back, elbow) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 21.

Huddle Up: Ivory will see a drop in touches if he plays this week with Leonard Fournette on track to return. Owners in all leagues should be able to find better options for their lineups.

  • Posted: 12/20/2017 5:18pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (back, elbow) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Huddle Up: Ivory would serve as the No. 2 running back if he plays this week since Leonard Fournette is set to return. Ivory can be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/17/2017 7:32pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory rushed 17 times for 42 yards in Week 15 against the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: Ivory averaged just 2.5 yards per attempt while Corey Grant had 6.9 yards per rush on his 10 touches while also finding the end zone. If Leonard Fournette is sidelined again in Week 16, Grant might be the Jacksonville back to watch.

  • Posted: 11/19/2017 8:19am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (illness) will see limited snaps during the team's Week 11 game because he is dealing with an illness, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Ivory probably will still serve as the No. 2 running back for the Jaguars during the game but can be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 2:55pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory rushed for 69 yards on 20 carries against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9. He also caught three passes for 34 yards during the game.

Huddle Up: Ivory received a bigger role against the Bengals since Leonard Fournette was benched for a team violation. He should still have a solid role in the offense when Fournette returns to the lineup and could be a flex option in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 10/22/2017 3:50pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory rushed 17 times for 47 yards and a touchdown in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts and he was not targeted once in the pass game.

Huddle Up: Ivory did an OK job with Leonard Fournette sidelined, but he was overshadowed by T.J. Yeldon in this one. Both backs will be back to an understudy role in Week 9 with Fournette expected back from injury after the bye.

  • Posted: 10/22/2017 8:24am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory will be the starting running back against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7.

Huddle Up: Ivory willl receive most of the carries during the game and should have success against the Colts run defense. Owners in all leagues should consider Ivory a No. 2 running back or a flex option.

  • Posted: 10/20/2017 4:08pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory might have a big role in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts if RB Leonard Fournette (ankle) sits.

Huddle Up: Fournette is listed as questionable, and the team has a bye in Week 8. It might make sense for the Jaguars to keep their prized running back on the sidelines so he can couple that rest with the bye to get back to 100 percent for the stretch run. If so, Ivory could be an outstanding fantasy asset, especially in PPR formats, against the leaky Colts defense.

  • Posted: 10/15/2017 8:43pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory rushed twice for just three times in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams, but he posted a game-high nine receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets.

Huddle Up: Ivory had his best game of the season catching the football, a role he has been very valuable in the past. Heading into Week 7 he remains a useful RB3 or flex play in deeper PPR formats.

  • Posted: 10/13/2017 3:19pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (hip) was able to practice in full Friday, Oct. 13, and he was removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 6 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Huddle Up: Ivory has averaged 8-10 touches per game through five outings, with just seven receptions for 69 yards. Normally he is a pretty solid PPR option, even in a backup capacity, but his appeal is rather minimal in those formats. As long as Leonard Fournette is healthy there isn't much value for Ivory.

  • Posted: 10/1/2017 2:18pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory rushed for 42 yards on nine carries against the New York Jets in Week 4.

Huddle Up: Ivory is serving as the team's No. 2 running back and sees limited carries each game. He will not have much fantasy value unless something happens to Leonard Fournette during the season.

  • Posted: 9/19/2017 8:14pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RBs Chris Ivory (73.3 percent) and Leonard Fournette (52.5) rank first and fifth, respectively, in the NFL in regards to how often they face eight defenders in the box.

Huddle Up: Two games is obviously a very small sample size, but it highlights just how little regard defenses have the passing game's ability - namely Blake Bortles - to beat them. Since Jacksonville's passing game doesn't figure to improve with Allen Robinson out for the year, owners should get used to seeing Ivory and Fournette facing eight men in the box on a regular basis. Thankfully, both have volume on their side, meaning Fournette should remain a quality RB2 and Ivory a matchup-based flex option.

  • Posted: 9/17/2017 5:28pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory rushed six times for 17 yards in Week 2 against Tennessee and he added three catches for 31 yards on four targets.

Huddle Up: Ivory saw some extra playing time with a blowout and the team getting away from the run in the second half. Leonard Fournette is still the bellcow and Ivory has limited fantasy appeal as long as the rookie remains healthy.

  • Posted: 8/4/2017 12:45pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette, along with veterans T.J. Yeldon and Chris Ivory, were all listed as starters on the team's first unofficial depth chart Friday, Aug. 4.

Huddle Up: It's a time-honored tradition in the NFL to make rookies 'work for it,' but Fournette is pretty much a lock to start Week 1 barring injury and handle 20 touches on a fairly regular basis. Based on talent and projected workload alone, the No. 4 overall pick has a high floor and should be a solid investment for owners at the middle or end of the second round.
