Miami Dolphins QB Brock Osweiler will make the start in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions in place of the injured QB Ryan Tannehill (shoulder), head coach Adam Gase announced Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Huddle Up: Osweiler went for over 300 yards in an overtime victory against the Chicago Bears last week, and Tannehill is expected to miss anywhere from 1-3 weeks. Despite his decent numbers against the Bears in Week 6, Osweiler is only worth using in deeper fantasy if you're desperate due to bye weeks and need a streaming option.

Miami Dolphins QB Brock Osweiler completed 28-of-44 passes for 380 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 6 overtime win against the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: Osweiler stepped in for the injured Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) and easily outshined the starter. Tannehill's season high is 289 yards in a win against Oakland in Week 3. Quarterback controversy in Miami?

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 7:43pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler completed 22 of 38 passes for 193 yards and an interception in a 27-11 loss to the Washington Redskins in Week 16.

Huddle Up: After an impressive relief appearance last weekend, Osweiler looked like the ineffective quarterback we are used to seeing. Avoid him in the season finale.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 6:29am ET

Denver Broncos QB Paxton Lynch (ankle) is expected to serve as the backup to QB Brock Osweiler for Week 16's game against the Washington Redskins.

Huddle Up: Lynch was listed as questionable on the injury report after putting in two limited practice sessions and one full session during the week. The team hopes he will be healthy enough to start Week 17's game versus the Kansas City Chiefs but he should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/22/2017 6:29pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler is expected to start against the Washington Redskins in Week 16 because QB Paxton Lynch (ankle) is still favoring his sprained right ankle.

Huddle Up: Osweiler was shockingly effective after replacing an injured Trevor Siemian in Week 15, but trusting your fantasy playoff hopes to Osweiler is a recipe for disappointment.

  • Posted: 12/14/2017 8:56pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler completed 12 of his 17 passes for 194 yards and two touchdowns and ran three times for 17 yards and a score in a 25-13 win over the Indianapolis Colts Thursday, Dec. 14.

Huddle Up: Osweiler performed surprisingly well after replacing an injured Trevor Siemian. With Siemian out for the year, Osweiler will likely start the final two games, but you won't want to pin your fantasy playoff hopes on him.

  • Posted: 11/17/2017 3:16pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 17, and is not on the injury report for Week 11.

Huddle Up: Osweiler has thrown two touchdowns and three interceptions in the two games he has played since being named the starter. Owners in all leagues should be able to find other options to use.

  • Posted: 11/16/2017 3:35pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler (shoulder) practiced in full Thursday, Nov. 16.

Huddle Up: Osweiler was a limited participant on Wednesday, so this development should point to him starting opposite the Bengals on Sunday. However, he's really just an option for two-quarterback formats, though he could prove to be useful in such leagues after a surprisingly solid showing against the Patriots in Week 10.

  • Posted: 11/15/2017 2:45pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 15.

Huddle Up: Denver's losing streak has not ceased with the change to Osweiler at quarterback. He has not proven to be a quality fantasy quarterback either. That goes for his whole career, not just his starts this season. He should not be started this week.

  • Posted: 11/13/2017 1:05pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler will be the starting quarterback against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11.

Huddle Up: Osweiler has thrown for 429 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in his last two games but likely will remain the starter until Paxton Lynch is healthy. Owners should be able to find better options and can avoid Osweiler.

  • Posted: 11/6/2017 12:06pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler will be the starting quarterback against the New England Patriots in Week 10, according to sources.

Huddle Up: Osweiler had problems during his first start of the season in Week 9, but it appears he will start at least one more week. The Patriots defense has struggled at times this season, but owners in all leagues should not consider Osweiler as a starting option this week.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 5:58pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler completed 19 of his 38 pass attempts for 208 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the Week 9 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Huddle Up: Osweiler took over under center for the struggling Trevor Siemian, but it was more of the same. The offense struggled early on, there were plenty of turnovers and the quality of offensive line play continued to be subpar.

  • Posted: 11/1/2017 8:12am ET

Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler was named the starter in Week 9.

Huddle Up: The Philadelphia Eagles provide a great matchup for Osweiler, but he hasn't shown much in his previous play to give him much fantasy luster. If you need to cover a bye week in a two-QB league, maybe he's a one-week option.

  • Posted: 10/31/2017 7:35am ET

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler would be the replacement for QB Trevor Siemian, according to sources for NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported QB Paxton Lynch likely would be the starter, if the team made a move. Rapoport points out that Lynch has three practices in the new offense.

Huddle Up: Regardless of whether it is Lynch or Osweiler, it appears the Broncos are ready to move on from Siemian. The takeaway for fantasy purposes is rather meaningless: All three of these guys are not quality starters, and the passing game as a whole will continue to struggle.
