Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum completed one of his four passes for five yards in his only series against the Minnesota Vikings in the preseason Saturday, Aug. 11.

Huddle Up: It was a forgettable start to the preseason for Keenum, but with a strong cast of receivers to work with, he has a chance to build on his breakout 2017 campaign. You can grab him as a QB2, and he might surprise with low-end QB1 production.

  • Posted: 8/2/2018 8:53am ET

Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum hasn't thrown an interception in the first five days of practice.

Huddle Up: Can Keenum springboard off the magic from last season into a low-end QB1 in fantasy? Perhaps. You'll likely only need to spend a QB2 pick on him to find out.

  • Posted: 7/31/2018 1:54pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum is better now than he was last year, according to head coach Vance Joseph. Joseph cited Keenum's accuracy, command, smarts and feel for the game as defining qualities.

Huddle Up: Keenum has been a sigh of relief for the Broncos so far after the cesspool last year. He is the unquestioned starter for Denver, but not necessarily for fantasy squads. Keenum represents a safe backup and/or bye-week replacement.

  • Posted: 6/2/2018 7:08pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum has been taking all of the first-team reps during OTAs, and offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave said the exclusive work is paying dividends.

Huddle Up: It's no surprise that Denver is putting emphasis on Keenum learning the offense, and with a solid receiving corps to work with, he could prove last year's breakout in Minnesota was no fluke. Consider him a high-end QB2.

  • Posted: 3/16/2018 2:07pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum has $1 million in annual incentives, and they're entirely based on playoff wins.

Huddle Up: Playoff wins do not mean anything to fantasy owners, who will be done by then. However, if he is able to realize those incentives it likely means he played at a high level during the regular season for his fantasy owners. He has one of the better one-two wideout duos in Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, so expect big things out of Keenum.

  • Posted: 3/13/2018 11:50pm ET

Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Case Keenum intends to sign with the Denver Broncos shortly after the start of the new league year Wednesday, March 14, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Huddle Up: The Broncos likely realized they probably weren't going to land Kirk Cousins, nor does it appear they wanted to pony up the cash it was going to take to get him. Current senior personnel advisor Gary Kubiak gave the former undrafted free agent his start in 2013 when he was the Houston Texans' head coach and likely played a huge role in convincing general manager John Elway to take the plunge. The addition of Keenum should not keep Denver from drafting a quarterback with the No. 5 overall pick next month, so it is too early to say for sure if Keenum is worth drafting for fantasy purposes.

  • Posted: 3/7/2018 10:24am ET

Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Case Keenum has drawn interest from the Denver Broncos, according to 9news.com's Mike Klis.

Huddle Up: This isn't a big surprise as Keenum will likely be Denver's backup plan if they can't corral Kirk Cousins. Keenum won't be in as high demand as Cousins, but he will be in high demand since he is considered the No. 2 quarterback on the free-agent market. That is after Drew Brees re-signs with the New Orleans Saints. Keenum is capable of QB1 games, but he's not a every-week QB1.

  • Posted: 3/4/2018 11:43am ET

Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Case Keenum is expected to be pursued by the Vikings, Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals in free agency, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Keenum is coming off a terrific 2017 season and should receive a lucrative contract this offseason. He has a chance to be a low-end No. 1 fantasy quarterback in 2018 depending on his team.

  • Posted: 2/26/2018 10:26am ET

Updating an ongoing story, Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Case Keenum is unlikely to receive the franchise tag and is expected to hit the open market, according to sources. The Vikings are expected to look for a new starting quarterback for 2018.

Huddle Up: The market should sort this one out. Keenum may not receive a lot of interest in a starting situation, primarily due to a deep rookie class. Minnesota may return to Keenum as an option after the draft, so stay tuned. Either way, he is no better than a low-end QB2 in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 2/18/2018 6:22pm ET

Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Case Keenum is still the favorite to return as the starter in 2018 because offensive coordinator John DeFilippo prefers athletic quarterbacks, according to Charley Walters of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Huddle Up: Keenum had a breakout campaign in 2017, and if he does return as Minnesota's starter, he should be a solid QB2.

  • Posted: 1/22/2018 10:53am ET

Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Case Keenum said he has not received any indication from the Vikings on if they want to re-sign him this offseason.

Huddle Up: Keenum is one of three Vikings quarterbacks that will be unrestricted free agents this offseason, but it is not known which quarterback the Vikings will look to re-sign. Keenum finished the regular season with 3,547 yards and 22 touchdowns after taking over the starting job early in the season. He probably will be a starting quarterback for a team in 2018 and should be considered a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in most leagues.

  • Posted: 1/21/2018 6:15pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum completed 28 of his 48 pass attempts for 271 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Jan. 21.

Huddle Up: Keenum did a good job holding down the fort with Sam Bradford and Teddy Bridgewater missing huge chunks of the season due to injury, and he almost carried them to the Super Bowl. He will head into the offseason as an impending unrestricted free agent. The way he played he might find a starting job in 2018.

  • Posted: 1/21/2018 6:13pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum could receive the franchise tag, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Huddle Up: Minnesota will have some big decisions to make about the quarterback position this offseason. If Keenum does end up back under center to start 2018, he will be worth a look as a QB2.

  • Posted: 1/14/2018 5:34pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum completed 25 of his 40 pass attempts for 318 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the NFC Divisional Round playoff game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Jan. 14.

Huddle Up: Keenum's only TD of the afternoon will go down in NFL Playoff history as one of the most amazing wins. He hit Stefon Diggs on a 61-yard pass play with no time left in regulation to stun the Saints. Next up is a visit against the top-seeded Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game.

  • Posted: 12/23/2017 8:54pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum completed 14 of his 25 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown in a 16-0 win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 16.

Huddle Up: Keenum had tossed multiple touchdowns in four straight games prior to tonight's pedestrian line. He did leave a couple of big plays on the field, but for the most part, the Vikings were happy to go with a conservative approach while their defense shut down a hapless Green Bay offense.

  • Posted: 12/22/2017 7:11am ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum has a great matchup against the Green Bay Packers in Week 16.

Huddle Up: The Packers have allowed the most fantasy points to QBs over the last five weeks. They've also been eliminated from the playoffs and have little to play for. Keenum has completed 74.2 percent of his passes this month with two TDs per game. He's a low-end QB1 consideration this week.

  • Posted: 12/17/2017 1:37pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum went 20-for-33 for 236 yards and two touchdowns against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 15.

Huddle Up: Keenum has thrown at least two touchdowns in six of the last seven games and has only five interceptions during that span. He should have a favorable matchup next week against the Green Bay Packers and can be a No. 1 fantasy quarterback.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 2:17pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum completed 27 of his 44 pass attempts for 280 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 14 game against the Carolina Panthers.

Huddle Up: Keenum threw at least two touchdowns for the third straight game, a new season high for consecutive games with two or more scoring strikes. He continues to get it done under center for the Vikings, keeping Teddy Bridgewater nailed to the bench. They lost this one, but he played well and gave them a chance to win. He has emerged as a low-end QB1 in all fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 1:03pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum went 25-for-30 for 227 yards and two touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13.

Huddle Up: Keenum has played very well since taking over as the starter for the Vikings and should continue to hold the job. He will be facing a solid Carolina Panthers defense in Week 14 but could still be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 11/23/2017 1:22pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum totaled 302 yards and three touchdowns in a Thanksgiving win versus the Detroit Lions Thursday, Nov. 23.

Huddle Up: Keenum made a strong case for keeping the starting job away from Teddy Bridgewater. He has done nothing to force the Vikings' hand in making Bridgewater the starter, but he has forced us to consider him as a weekly starter.

  • Posted: 11/19/2017 3:40pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum completed 27 of his 38 pass attempts for 280 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Huddle Up: Keenum has led the team to an 8-2 record and the perch in the NFC North Division. Teddy Bridgewater is back, but head coach Mike Zimmer basically said that no quarterback change is being considered. Keenum is the leader of this team right now and he has emerged as a borderline fantasy option. The Vikings face the Lions on Thanksgiving in Detroit in Week 12.

  • Posted: 11/13/2017 1:20pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum will continue to start despite QB Teddy Bridgewater being available to return.

Huddle Up: It would have been difficult to bench Keenum for Bridgewater given the circumstances. The Vikings are rolling on offense, Keenum is playing well and they're riding a five-game winning streak. Why mess up the momentum? Even so, Keenum can't be trusted as QB1 this week in a tough matchup with the Los Angeles Rams.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 9:34am ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum went 27-for-43 for 288 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the Cleveland Browns in Week 8.

Huddle Up: Keenum has been a solid quarterback for the Vikings over the last several weeks, but it is not known if he will be the starter when the team returns in Week 10. Keenum would be facing a solid Washington Redskins defense if he starts in Week 10 and probably can be avoided.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 7:32am ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (knee) could resume playing as soon as Week 10 versus the Washington Redskins, according to a source informed of the situation. It is believed that he could be activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list after the team's Week 9 bye and could compete with QB Case Keenum for the starting job.

Huddle Up: The 24-year-old Bridgewater has been sidelined since the 2016 preseason due to a significant left knee injury suffered on a non-contact play. Even if he does regain the starting quarterback job, fantasy owners should avoid using Bridgewater in his first few weeks back so that he can prove he is both healthy and effective.

  • Posted: 10/27/2017 2:27pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum (chest) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 27, and is not on the injury report for Week 8.

Huddle Up: Keenum has recorded only two touchdowns and two interceptions over the last four games but will have a favorable matchup this week. He can be a solid option for owners looking for a bye-week replacement.

  • Posted: 10/27/2017 5:06am ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum will start again Sunday, Oct. 29, against the Cleveland Browns.

Huddle Up: The Browns provide a midrange matchup for Keenum, who has kept the team competitive. However, he's not a banner target in fantasy outside of two-QB leagues.

  • Posted: 10/26/2017 11:12am ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum (chest) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 26.

Huddle Up: Keenum likely will receive another start this week as long as he does not suffer a setback over the next few days. He has not posted great numbers since his terrific Week 3 performance but will have a favorable matchup in Week 8. Keenum can be a decent option for owners looking for a bye week replacement at quarterback.

  • Posted: 10/25/2017 1:45pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum (chest) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 25.

Huddle Up: Keenum is expected to start in Week 8 against the Cleveland Browns in London, as Sam Bradford once again was unable to take to the practice field. Keenum's fantasy appeal is rather limited, but it could be helped out if Stefon Diggs can return this week from ankle and groin ailments.

  • Posted: 10/22/2017 1:49pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum went 20-for-31 for 188 yards and one interception against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7.

Huddle Up: Keenum has thrown for less than 200 yards in two of his last three games but likely will continue to be the starting quarterback as long as Sam Bradford is sidelined. He will have a favorable matchup next week if he starts and could be a starting option for owners in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 10/15/2017 4:17pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum completed 24 of his 38 pass attempts for 239 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Week 6 game against the Green Bay Packers.

Huddle Up: Keenum continues to spread the ball around nicely and he jelled nicely with Adam Thielen in this one with Stefon Diggs sidelined and Michael Floyd checking out early. However, he remains more of a low-end QB2 heading into Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens.

  • Posted: 10/9/2017 11:05pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum stepped in after QB Sam Bradford (knee) was sidelined in the team's Week 5 game Monday, Oct. 9, against the Chicago Bears, completing 17 of 21 pass attempts for 140 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 22 yards on his lone rush attempt.

Huddle Up: If Bradford has to miss more time, and Keenum can continue to play like he did on Monday Night Football, there may not be a downgrade for the weapons around him, as initially thought. Keenum had a very solid game, although at the same time, he's not a QB 1 to lean on in fantasy.

  • Posted: 10/1/2017 3:04pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum completed 16 of his 30 pass attempts for 219 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions.

Huddle Up: Keenum took a big step back after a big performance in Week 4, and it didn't help that he lost starting RB Dalvin Cook (knee) to an ugly injury. It's uncertain how long Sam Bradford will continue to be on the shelf, but Keenum is best used as a low-end QB2 in most fantasy leagues despite his big outing last week. The Vikings travel to play the Bears on Monday Night Football in Week 5.

  • Posted: 9/24/2017 1:52pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum went 25-for-33 for 369 yards and three touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3.

Huddle Up: Keenum played much better than he did in Week 2 and could start again next week if Sam Bradford is still sidelined by his knee injury. He would be facing the Detroit Lions if he starts next week and probably should not a starting option in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 9/22/2017 3:21pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum will be the starter again in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with QB Sam Bradford (knee) on the shelf.

Huddle Up: Keenum being under center means a decrease in fantasy appeal for Stefon Diggs, Kyle Rudolph, Adam Thielen, etc. Diggs and Thielen should be treated as WR3 or WR4 options, while Rudolph is still a red zone threat and a solid low-end TE1. The Buccaneers DST will be a popular fantasy option against the backup QB.

  • Posted: 9/17/2017 2:19pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum went 20-for-37 for 167 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2.

Huddle Up: Keenum was the starter because Sam Bradford is dealing with a knee injury and could start Week 3 if Bradford is not able to play. Keenum should not be an option in any fantasy league and will hurt the value of Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen and Kyle Rudolph if he starts again.
