Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (non-injury related) was held out of practice Saturday, Nov. 17.

Huddle Up: The Rams may just be resting Zuerlein two days before gameday. He kicked well last week, making all three of his field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point attempts. Keep him in your starting lineup until further notice.

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (non-injury) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 16.

Huddle Up: Zuerlein likely is receiving some time off and should be ready to play in Week 11. He is one of the best kickers in the NFL and should be starting in all fantasy leagues.

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (groin) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 19, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

Huddle Up: Zuerlein is one of the top kickers in the NFL and is a must-start option in all leagues when he is healthy.

  • Posted: 10/18/2018 4:54pm ET

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (groin) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 18.

Huddle Up: Zuerlein should be able to play in Week 7 and will be a strong starting option for owners in all leagues.

  • Posted: 10/17/2018 4:31pm ET

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (groin) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Huddle Up: Zuerlein appears to be on track to play in Week 7 as long as he does not suffer any setbacks. He should be a weekly starting option when he is healthy.

  • Posted: 10/16/2018 3:46am ET

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said 'there's a chance' PK Greg Zuerlein (groin) returns for the team's Week 7 contest on Sunday, Oct. 21.

Huddle Up: That would be a tough break for fill-in Cairo Santos, who has done a nice job holding down the fort in Legatron's absence. Despite this stint on the sidelines, Zuerlein simply should not be on any waiver wires, as not only does he get plenty of opportunities while playing for the NFL's only unbeaten team, he's arguably the best kicker in the game as well.

  • Posted: 10/11/2018 4:46pm ET

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (groin) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 11.

Huddle Up: Zuerlein was not expected to play in Week 6, but owners should monitor the situation to see if his status changes. He is a weekly starting option when healthy.

  • Posted: 10/10/2018 3:50pm ET

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (groin) is likely still at least a week away from returning to game action, head coach Sean McVay said Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Huddle Up: It sounds like Cairo Santos will handle the kicking chores for at least one more game before Greg the Leg can return to assume his regular duties.

  • Posted: 10/4/2018 5:21pm ET

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (groin) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 4.

Huddle Up: Cairo Santos will be the kicker in Week 5 if Zuerlein is not able to play and could be an option in some deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 10/3/2018 6:04pm ET

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (groin) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 3.

Huddle Up: It appears that Zuerlein is at least a week away, so owners should stay away from him this week. Cairo Santos likely will serve as the kicker for the Rams this week and could be an option in some leagues.

  • Posted: 9/26/2018 4:34pm ET

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (groin) has been ruled out for the team's Week 4 contest Thursday, Sept. 27, against the Minnesota Vikings.

Huddle Up: Zuerlein being out will once again provide a boost to his replacement, Sam Ficken, who isn't a bad option for any format given the Rams' potent offense. Even against a quality defense, he'll still get his chances to rack up some points.

  • Posted: 9/17/2018 5:16pm ET

Updating a previous report, Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (groin) will miss at least the next several weeks because of his groin injury, according to head coach Sean McVay.

Huddle Up: Sam Ficken will take over the kicker job but is not a great fantasy option. Owners may want to stash Zuerlein on their bench if they have room and look for a replacement on the waiver wire.

  • Posted: 9/17/2018 7:31am ET

Updating previous reports, Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (groin) isn't expected to be placed on the Reserve/Injury list, which indicated he doesn't have a long-term injury.

Huddle Up: If he's out multiple weeks, you'll have to cut him and play the wire the rest of the season.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 4:07pm ET

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (groin) suffered a groin injury in pregame warmups and he did not kick in the Week 2 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Huddle Up: With Greg the Leg sidelined, the team elected to go for two-point conversions rather than attempt PATs. He made four field goals last week, so it's a tough and unexpected loss for fantasy owners. If he isn't ready for Week 3 against the Chargers they'll definitely bring someone in.

  • Posted: 7/10/2018 1:37am ET

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (back) 'could probably go' if he had to suit up for an upcoming game, according to special teams coordinator John Fassel, who added, 'A week after his surgery he was in the training room and he's lived in there ever since that day. So he's had a great offseason with his rehab and his training, so when training camp starts, I would imagine we'll be full speed.'

Huddle Up: As long as he's ready for the start of the season, Zuerlein should be one of the most popular kickers taken in fantasy drafts -- not just for his efficiency and kicking power but also because the Rams figure to have one of the more explosive offenses in football again. Thus, Zuerlein should have plenty of opportunities at racking up points on a weekly basis.

  • Posted: 6/13/2018 8:21pm ET

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (back) should be ready for the start of the regular season, according special teams coordinator John Fassel.

Huddle Up: Zuerlein is recovering from back surgery and probably will return at some point during training camp. He is one of the best kickers in the NFL and will be a weekly starting option if he is healthy.

  • Posted: 4/19/2018 3:14pm ET

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (back) is making good progress in his recovery from back surgery, according to head coach Sean McVay.

Huddle Up: Zuerlein probably will not do much during offseason workouts but should be ready for the start of training camp. He is one of the better kickers in the league and will be a weekly starting fantasy option.

  • Posted: 12/20/2017 4:35pm ET

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein (back) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Dec. 20. The team also signed free-agent PK Sam Ficken (Chiefs). Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Huddle Up: This will hurt fantasy owners because Zuerlein is one of the best fantasy kickers in the NFL. Owners should be able to find other kickers available as a replacement.
