Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) participated fully in practice Thursday, Nov. 16.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been the most consistent Eagle not named Carson Wentz this year. He has scored five times in his last four games and has six touchdowns on the season. Ertz is a must start no matter the matchup.

  • Posted: 11/13/2017 10:40am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) logged a full practice Monday, Nov. 13.

Huddle Up: Ertz was expected to return after sitting out Week 9 and staying off his feet during the team's Week 10 bye, so it appears it will be all systems go for him on Sunday night versus the Dallas Cowboys in Week 11. He has been virtually matchup-proof this season, scoring at least 13.1 fantasy points in PPR leagues in every game, so he's an obvious start next week.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 8:25am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) will not play in Week 9 because he could not get loose during pregame warmups.

Huddle Up: Brent Celek and Trey Burton will share playing time at tight end with Ertz out but may not be big options in the passing game. Desperate owners looking for a bye week replacement could consider Celek this week against the Denver Broncos.

  • Posted: 11/4/2017 7:11pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz faces the Denver Broncos in Week 9, and the Broncos have allowed an average of 76.1 yards per game to opposing tight ends, which ranks 27th in the NFL. 'It's going to be another challenge to be able to identify him, make sure we're able to limit his touches,' FS Justin Simmons said.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been battling a hamstring injury but is expected to play. He has emerged as a must-start TE1 and should be one of the top plays at his position again this weekend.

  • Posted: 11/3/2017 3:20pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 3, and is listed as questionable for Week 9.

Huddle Up: Ertz is expected to play against the Denver Broncos this week, but owners should check the inactive list to make sure. Ertz has been one of the better tight ends in the NFL this season and should be a starter in all fantasy leagues if he is active.

  • Posted: 11/3/2017 7:35am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) will play in Week 9, according to head coach Doug Pederson. Pederson said that Ertz's hamstring tightened up this week.

Huddle Up: Ertz has a touchdown in four straight games, and the Denver Broncos provide him a great matchup. A hamstring, especially with an injury-prone player, is always cause for concern, though. He's a TE1 in fantasy.

  • Posted: 11/2/2017 12:15pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 2.

Huddle Up: Owners should keep an eye on the situation to see if Ertz is in any danger of missing the team's Week 9 game. He has caught five touchdowns in his last four games and should be a No. 1 tight end in all leagues as long as he is active.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 4:29pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz posted four receptions for 34 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the San Francisco 49ers. He was targeted six times.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been a touchdown machine lately, scoring at least one touchdown (five total) in each of the past four outings. He also has six scores over the past six games. He remains a high-end TE1 heading into Week 9 against the Denver Broncos.

  • Posted: 10/23/2017 9:03pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz hauled in all five of his targets for 89 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 7 game Monday, Oct. 23, against the Washington Redskins.

Huddle Up: The targets tied a season low, but who cares? A case can be made that Ertz has been the best tight end in all of football this year, and he's shown no signs of slowing down, having secured at least one touchdown in three straight games. He's also recorded 55 or more receiving yards in all but one of his outings in 2017. Philadelphia's offense just continues putting up crooked numbers on a weekly basis and Ertz has been a big reason for that.

  • Posted: 10/20/2017 9:05pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz's 53 targets rank eighth in the NFL, and he is the only tight end ranked in the top 10 in targets.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been targeted at least eight times in five of the first six games, and he has topped 50 yards five times. He has emerged as a must-start TE1, and that won't change against the Washington Redskins in Week 7.

  • Posted: 10/12/2017 10:16pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz caught two passes for 18 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Carolina Panthers in Week 6.

Huddle Up: Ertz came into Week 6 averaging better than 77 yards receiving per game, so by that standard this was by far Ertz's worst game of 2017. He maximized his opportunities, however, scoring on both his grabs to overcome an otherwise quiet night. Ertz remains a must start going forward.

  • Posted: 10/8/2017 2:57pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz caught six passes for 61 yards and one touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been a consistent option for fantasy owners this season and will continue to have a solid role in the passing game. He should be considered a weekly starting option in all leagues.

  • Posted: 10/4/2017 9:06pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz is leading all tight ends this season through the first four games in receptions (26), targets (36) and receiving yards (326). Additionally, he's also registered one touchdown.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been outstanding in the early going, displaying an impressive rapport with Carson Wentz that has established him as arguably the second-year quarterback's most-trusted target. He's really coming into his own as an upper echelon TE1 and obviously needs to be started every week.

  • Posted: 10/1/2017 7:59pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz caught five passes on eight targets for a team-high 81 yards in a 26-24 win over the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday, Oct. 1.

Huddle Up: Ertz has at least five catches in every game this year, and he has topped 80 yards three times. At this point, he is a must-start TE1 against any opponent.

  • Posted: 9/17/2017 2:12pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz caught five passes for 97 yards in a 27-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Sept. 17.

Huddle Up: It was the second straight outing where Ertz led the receivers for Philadelphia, and not much else needs to be said. Ertz is a TE1 option straight to the bank for fantasy owners.

  • Posted: 9/10/2017 1:49pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz caught eight passes for 93 yards with no touchdowns in a 30-17 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday, Sept. 10.

Huddle Up: Ertz is easily a TE1 because of his chemistry with Carson Wentz at quarterback. As long as these two stay tuned to each other, Ertz will be among the top tight ends in all of football, if not a legitimate receiving threat. Ertz didn't score in Week 1, but he will during the year.

  • Posted: 7/10/2017 11:12am ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz is working with several Eagles this week, including WRs Alshon Jeffery and Jordan Matthews and TE Zach Ertz.

Huddle Up: It's always nice to see a young quarterback working out with his pass-catchers during the offseason, especially when it's not required. Wentz has solid upside in his sophomore year and has the receiving corps to break out. Draft him as a QB1 is ill advised, but he makes for a quality QB2.

  • Posted: 3/13/2017 6:28am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz restructured his contract Monday, March 13, according to a source. The move turned $3.225 million into a signing bonus and created $2.58 million in salary cap space.

Huddle Up: Ertz put together a solid 78-816-4 season, but he has the propensity for injury. He's a midrange TE1 option in fantasy.

  • Posted: 1/13/2017 8:20pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz credits his strong finish to the 2016 season to improved chemistry with QB Carson Wentz, and Ertz plans to continue to develop chemistry with Wentz by working with him over the offseason.

Huddle Up: Ertz hauled in 40 passes for 443 yards over the final five games, showcasing his upside as a pass-catcher. Consistency has been an issue for Ertz, but unless the Eagles dramatically upgrade their receiving corps this offseason, Ertz should continue to provide TE1 numbers as Wentz's safety net.

  • Posted: 1/1/2017 2:14pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz caught 13 of his 16 targeted passes for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 27-13 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been QB Carson Wentz's big weapon all season, and that was true Sunday as well. Ertz is easily a TE1 heading into the offseason, as Wentz has made no secret of Ertz being one of his favorite targets.

  • Posted: 12/18/2016 2:52pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz caught six passes for 80 yards against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 15.

Huddle Up: Ertz recorded at least 79 yards for the third straight game and has been targeted at least 10 times in three of the last five games. He has been a popular target for Carson Wentz and should be a decent No. 1 tight end in the next two weeks.

  • Posted: 12/11/2016 3:27pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz caught 10 of his 13 targeted passes for 112 yards in a 27-22 loss to the Washington Redskins.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been one of Wentz's best targets in his rookie season, and he should still rank among the top tight ends in the game. Play him any chance you get.

  • Posted: 12/4/2016 8:32pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz racked up nine receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets in the Week 13 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Huddle Up: Ertz was limited by an injury to his ribs late in October, but he has looked good in November and into December. Ertz has six or more receptions in four of his past five outings, and he has found the end zone twice in the past three games. He can be trusted again as a low-end TE1 in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 14 against the Washington Redskins.

  • Posted: 11/28/2016 8:53pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz posted three receptions for 36 yards in the Week 12 game against the Green Bay Packers Monday, Nov. 28. He was targeted six times.

Huddle Up: Ertz had a disappointing performance against a poor Packers pass defense. Fantasy owners will look for a rebound in Week 13 at Cincinnati.

  • Posted: 11/20/2016 10:53pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz posted six receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown in the Week 11 game against the Seattle Seahawks. He was targeted 11 times.

Huddle Up: Ertz had a decent line against a good defense, and he should excel in Week 12 against a banged up Green Bay Packers pass defense. Consider him a TE1 for next Monday's outing.

  • Posted: 11/20/2016 12:18pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) is officially active for the team's Week 11 game.

Huddle Up: Ertz has played well over the last few weeks but is still looking for his first touchdown of the season. He can be considered a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues since he is facing the Seattle Seahawks.

  • Posted: 11/20/2016 9:53am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) is on track to play in the team's Week 11 game even though he is listed as questionable.

Huddle Up: Ertz still has not been able to find the end zone but has posted back-to-back solid performances. He will be facing a solid Seattle Seahawks defense bur could still be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 11/18/2016 11:12am ET

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) has been listed as questionable on the Week 11 injury report, but he returned to a full practice Friday, Nov. 18.

Huddle Up: The Eagles have made Ertz more of a priority over the last two weeks and he has rewarded their faith with 14 catches for 152 scoreless yards. The fourth-year pro has yet to find the end zone this season and only has scored nine times in 3 1/2 years, so his upside is capped somewhat. Regardless of his lack of touchdowns, any tight end receiving as much volume as Ertz has seen lately is in the TE1 discussion.

  • Posted: 11/18/2016 7:35am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 11 after he suffered a hamstring injury in practice Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been solid the last two games, but his durability is in constant question. It might be best to look elsewhere instead of risking an aggravation against the Seattle Seahawks.

  • Posted: 11/17/2016 12:19pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 17.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to check on Ertz's status after practice Friday, Nov. 17, to see if he has a chance to play in Week 11. He has played well over the last two games and would be a low-end No. 1 tight end if he is able to play.
