Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz posted seven receptions, 43 yards and a TD during the club's 21-point victory over the New York Giants on Thursday, Oct. 11.

Huddle Up: Coming off a four-game stretch in which he caught 36 passes for 389 yards, Ertz was due for a bit of a letdown. Fortunately for fantasy owners he took the edge off a 43-yard outing by scoring just his second TD this year (and added seven grabs for the PPR crowd). Ertz is currently one of the top TEs in football and a weekly start.

  • Posted: 10/7/2018 9:15pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz turned 11 targets into 10 receptions for 110 yards and his first touchdown of the season in Week 5 versus the Minnesota Vikings.

Huddle Up: Ertz beefed up his bottom line as Philadelphia tried valiantly to battle back from a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit. The sixth-year pro has at least 10 targets in every game this season and appears to be the only legitimate competition for Travis Kelce at the moment to be considered the top tight end in fantasy football. Ertz should be poised for another high-end TE1 performance in Week 6 when the Eagles visit the New York Giants.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 4:30pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz rolled up 10 receptions for 112 yards on 14 targets in Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans.

Huddle Up: Ertz didn't find the end zone, but he still had a monster game for fantasy owners, especially those in PPR formats. He has at least five receptions in each of his four outings this season, and 10 or more catches in two of those contests. The Eagles host the Vikings in Week 5.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 7:36pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz posted five receptions for 73 yards on a team-best 10 targets in Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Huddle Up: Carson Wentz was back under center in his season debut and he loves his tight ends. Ertz and rookie Dallas Goedert combined for 12 catches for 146 yards and a touchdown on 17 targets, while all of the other players totals just 13 grabs and 109 yards on 20 targets. Ertz remains an obvious TE1 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 4 at Tennessee.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 9:27pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz was targeted 13 times in Week 2 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, finishing with 11 catches for 94 yards.

Huddle Up: Ertz's efficiency with Nick Foles at quarterback hasn't been great (16 catches for 142 yards), but his PPR owners surely don't mind. With Carson Wentz expected back soon, he should find the end zone pretty soon and is a good bet to average more than 8.9 yards per reception. Even after Alshon Jeffery gets back (and especially once Wentz returns), Ertz is an every-week start at tight end in fantasy.

  • Posted: 9/6/2018 11:08pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz tallied five receptions for 48 yards against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday, Sept. 6.

Huddle Up: Ertz led the team in receiving yards and tied with with Nelson Agholor with 10 targets, but a 5-48-0 line isn't what fantasy owners were hoping for out of a top-five player at the position. Give credit to the Falcons, which have some good coverage LBs that helped hold Ertz in check. Brighter days should be ahead for the sixth-year TE.

  • Posted: 8/7/2018 6:35am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (undisclosed) returned to practice Tuesday, Aug. 7.

Huddle Up: Ertz is a good TE1 target, but he has a lengthy injury history. That's something to consider when taking him.

  • Posted: 8/6/2018 9:15am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (undisclosed) is not participating in practice Monday, Aug. 6, and has missed three straight practices.

Huddle Up: Owners should keep an eye on the situation to see what injury is keeping Ertz out of practice. He will be a popular target in the passing game this season if healthy and should be a solid No. 1 option for owners in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 8/5/2018 4:38pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz is not participating in practice Sunday, Aug. 5. Ertz missed practice Friday, Aug. 3, because he was given a rest day.

Huddle Up: Owners should monitor the situation to see if Ertz is dealing with any type of injury or is just getting some time off. Ertz has become one of the better tight ends in the NFL and will be a solid No. 1 option in all leagues.

  • Posted: 1/21/2018 7:07pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz caught eight passes on eight targets for 93 yards in a 38-7 win over the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship game.

Huddle Up: It was a tough matchup on paper, but Ertz was unstoppable in this one. He's entrenched himself as a TE1 heading into 2018.

  • Posted: 1/13/2018 6:03pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz caught three passes for 32 yards in a 15-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been slowed by injuries in the second half, and the quarterback change from Carson Wentz to Nick Foles didn't help either. Ertz may be effective at your tight end spot against either New Orleans or Minnesota.

  • Posted: 12/25/2017 8:55pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz collected nine receptions for 81 yards on 14 targets in Week 16 against the Oakland Raiders on Monday, Dec. 25.

Huddle Up: Ertz was the only Philadelphia receiver to give his fantasy owners anything, as it was a rough night for Nick Foles and the pass offense. The Eagles look to make improvements on offense in Week 17 against the visiting Cowboys in the regular season finale.

  • Posted: 12/17/2017 7:01pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz caught six passes on nine targets for 56 yards and a touchdown in a 34-29 win over the New York Giants in Week 15.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been a little hit and miss in recent weeks, but his TE1 upside is undeniable. Continue to start him over the final two weeks.

  • Posted: 12/15/2017 1:56pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (concussion) practiced in full for a third straight day Friday, Dec. 15, and he was removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 15 game with the New York Giants.

Huddle Up: Ertz is a must-start TE1 when healthy, but he might have a little rust after the layoff and he'll be catching his passes from Nick Foles now, not Carson Wentz (knee). Treat Ertz more as a low-end TE1 with a little risk this week.

  • Posted: 12/14/2017 11:49am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (concussion) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 14.

Huddle Up: As is the case with Alshon Jeffery, Ertz doesn't have as much value with Nick Foles under center, but he is comfortably in TE1 territory nonetheless. What is really in Ertz' favor is that the New York Giants rank dead last defensively against tight ends.

  • Posted: 12/13/2017 12:10pm ET

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (concussion) practiced fully Wednesday, Dec. 13, in his return from the concussion protocol.

Huddle Up: Obviously the fantasy value of Ertz and company isn't as high without Carson Wentz, but Ertz can serve as a safety blanket and go-to red-zone target for Nick Foles. Even more reason to start Ertz is that the New York Giants are the worst fantasy defense against tight ends this year.

  • Posted: 12/13/2017 7:34am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (concussion) cleared the concussion protocol Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Huddle Up: Ertz has a good matchup against the New York Giants, and with Nick Foles taking over at quarterback, Ertz should be busy. He's a great TE1 option this week.

  • Posted: 12/9/2017 9:22pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (concussion) will be checked out during warmups but is considered doubtful to face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 14, according to a source.

Huddle Up: It's not looking good for Ertz. Start him if he happens to be cleared to return, but his owners need to have a backup plan already in place.

  • Posted: 12/8/2017 3:16pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (concussion) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 8, and is listed as questionable for Week 14.

Huddle Up: Ertz needs to be cleared by the doctors before he is allowed to play, so owners will need to monitor the situation over the next few days. He is a No. 1 fantasy tight end when he is healthy, but owners will need a backup plan ready if Ertz is ruled out.

  • Posted: 12/7/2017 5:35pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (concussion) returned to practice Thursday, Dec. 7, and was a limited participant.

Huddle Up: Ertz departed last Sunday evening's game in Seattle, and while he hasn't necessarily cleared concussion protocol yet, this is at least a good sign that he'll be able to suit up for the start of the fantasy playoffs. Of course, this is something to monitor leading up to the weekend, so hopefully he'll be cleared in time.

  • Posted: 12/6/2017 5:27pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (concussion) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 6.

Huddle Up: Ertz will need to pass all of his concussion tests and be cleared by doctors, so owners should monitor the situation during the week. Ertz is a No. 1 fantasy tight end when he healthy, but owners will need other options ready in case Ertz is ruled out.

  • Posted: 12/4/2017 2:17pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (concussion) is in the concussion protocol, according to head coach Doug Pederson. Ertz left early in Week 13 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Huddle Up: If Ertz is unable to clear protocol in time for this weekend's matchup then Trey Burton becomes an immediate value play in DFS contests and would be worth a pickup for Ertz and/or Rob Gronkowski owners. Keep in mind that this is the second concussion of Ertz' career.

  • Posted: 12/4/2017 5:12am ET

Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (head) left the game Sunday, Dec. 3, with a possible concussion and did not return.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been a solid TE1 with a 57-663-7 line, but he is injury prone. Keep tabs on his status for next week against the Los Angeles Rams if he lands in the concussion protocol.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 7:24pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (head) suffered a head injury in the third quarter of the Week 13 game against the Seattle Seahawks and he was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for concussion.

Huddle Up: Ertz went to the medical tent at first, but apparently he didn't check out and needed further tests. Officially he is questionable to return, but it's nearly the fourth quarter and hard to envision he'll be back.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 6:19pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz caught 10 of his 12 targets for 103 yards and a touchdown in a 31-3 win over the Chicago Bears in Week 12.

Huddle Up: After managing just eight yards in Week 11, Ertz bounced back with his first 100-yard game of the season and sixth score in his last six games. Keep running him out there as a high-end TE1.

  • Posted: 11/19/2017 9:01pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz posted two receptions for eight yards on five targets in Week 11 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Huddle Up: Ertz was bothered by a hamstring injury recently and perhaps he is not quite back to 100 percent. The poor game snapped a four-game streak with at least one touchdown. Despite the subpar outing he remains a TE1 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 12 against the Bears.

  • Posted: 11/17/2017 2:56pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 17, and is not on the injury report for Week 11.

Huddle Up: Ertz is one of the best tight ends in the NFL this season and is a must-start option in all leagues as long as he is healthy.

  • Posted: 11/16/2017 12:17pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) participated fully in practice Thursday, Nov. 16.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been the most consistent Eagle not named Carson Wentz this year. He has scored five times in his last four games and has six touchdowns on the season. Ertz is a must start no matter the matchup.

  • Posted: 11/13/2017 10:40am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) logged a full practice Monday, Nov. 13.

Huddle Up: Ertz was expected to return after sitting out Week 9 and staying off his feet during the team's Week 10 bye, so it appears it will be all systems go for him on Sunday night versus the Dallas Cowboys in Week 11. He has been virtually matchup-proof this season, scoring at least 13.1 fantasy points in PPR leagues in every game, so he's an obvious start next week.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 8:25am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) will not play in Week 9 because he could not get loose during pregame warmups.

Huddle Up: Brent Celek and Trey Burton will share playing time at tight end with Ertz out but may not be big options in the passing game. Desperate owners looking for a bye week replacement could consider Celek this week against the Denver Broncos.

  • Posted: 11/4/2017 7:11pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz faces the Denver Broncos in Week 9, and the Broncos have allowed an average of 76.1 yards per game to opposing tight ends, which ranks 27th in the NFL. 'It's going to be another challenge to be able to identify him, make sure we're able to limit his touches,' FS Justin Simmons said.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been battling a hamstring injury but is expected to play. He has emerged as a must-start TE1 and should be one of the top plays at his position again this weekend.

  • Posted: 11/3/2017 3:20pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 3, and is listed as questionable for Week 9.

Huddle Up: Ertz is expected to play against the Denver Broncos this week, but owners should check the inactive list to make sure. Ertz has been one of the better tight ends in the NFL this season and should be a starter in all fantasy leagues if he is active.

  • Posted: 11/3/2017 7:35am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) will play in Week 9, according to head coach Doug Pederson. Pederson said that Ertz's hamstring tightened up this week.

Huddle Up: Ertz has a touchdown in four straight games, and the Denver Broncos provide him a great matchup. A hamstring, especially with an injury-prone player, is always cause for concern, though. He's a TE1 in fantasy.

  • Posted: 11/2/2017 12:15pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 2.

Huddle Up: Owners should keep an eye on the situation to see if Ertz is in any danger of missing the team's Week 9 game. He has caught five touchdowns in his last four games and should be a No. 1 tight end in all leagues as long as he is active.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 4:29pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz posted four receptions for 34 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the San Francisco 49ers. He was targeted six times.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been a touchdown machine lately, scoring at least one touchdown (five total) in each of the past four outings. He also has six scores over the past six games. He remains a high-end TE1 heading into Week 9 against the Denver Broncos.

  • Posted: 10/23/2017 9:03pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz hauled in all five of his targets for 89 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 7 game Monday, Oct. 23, against the Washington Redskins.

Huddle Up: The targets tied a season low, but who cares? A case can be made that Ertz has been the best tight end in all of football this year, and he's shown no signs of slowing down, having secured at least one touchdown in three straight games. He's also recorded 55 or more receiving yards in all but one of his outings in 2017. Philadelphia's offense just continues putting up crooked numbers on a weekly basis and Ertz has been a big reason for that.

  • Posted: 10/20/2017 9:05pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz's 53 targets rank eighth in the NFL, and he is the only tight end ranked in the top 10 in targets.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been targeted at least eight times in five of the first six games, and he has topped 50 yards five times. He has emerged as a must-start TE1, and that won't change against the Washington Redskins in Week 7.
