San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quadriceps) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 19, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

Huddle Up: Goodwin is coming off a very productive Week 6 game but will be facing a tougher defense this week. Owners could consider him a No. 3 receiver or a flex option because he should be the main option in the 49ers passing attack.

  • Posted: 10/17/2018 5:06pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quadriceps) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Huddle Up: Goodwin is coming off a fantastic Week 6 performance but may have to line up against Marcus Peters this week. He can still be a No. 3 receiver or a flex option in some leagues but is a risky option because of the matchup.

  • Posted: 10/15/2018 8:39pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin posted four receptions for 126 yards and two touchdowns on five targets in the Week 6 game against the Green Bay Packers on Monday, Oct. 15.

Huddle Up: Goodwin had been dealing with a hamstring and thigh injury entering the week, but he certainly didn't look bothered in this one. He entered with five grabs and 54 yards with a TD on nine targets over his first three games, but this breakout performance is sure to get him some fantasy attention heading into Week 7 against the Rams.

  • Posted: 10/13/2018 2:00pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quadriceps) practiced in full for a third straight day Saturday, Oct. 13 and he has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 6 game against the Green Bay Packers on Monday, Oct. 15.

Huddle Up: Goodwin could potentially lead the receivers corps in targets, as the unit is rather banged up at the moment. Pierre Garcon is a question mark, Trent Taylor is doubtful and Dante Pettis is out. Goodwin has some WR5 potential in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams.

  • Posted: 10/12/2018 5:19pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quadriceps) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 12.

Huddle Up: Goodwin appears to be on track to play in Week 6 and could receive a good amount of targets if some of the other receivers are unable to play. Goodwin may be a flex option in some leagues this week.

  • Posted: 10/11/2018 12:56pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, thigh) was a full practice participant Thursday, Oct. 11.

Huddle Up: Game script will favor Goodwin and the passing game and there is a chance that at least one of Pierre Garcon or George Kittle could be sidelined. Shift Goodwin into a WR3 or flex position either way.

  • Posted: 10/8/2018 7:32pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, thigh) is a question mark to play in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers.

Huddle Up: Goodwin has managed just five receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown in three games played this season, and when he returns he'll be working with backup C.J. Beathard. He isn't worth using in most fantasy leagues at this point.

  • Posted: 10/4/2018 4:28pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quadriceps) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 4.

Huddle Up: Goodwin may have a chance to play in Week 5 but more will be known about his status later in the week. His value has dropped because of the change at quarterback and may only be a flex option in some leagues.

  • Posted: 10/3/2018 5:29pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quadriceps) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 3.

Huddle Up: Goodwin is considered questionable for Week 5, so owners will need to monitor the situation during the week. His value has dropped because of the change at quarterback and could be benched even if he is able to play this week.

  • Posted: 10/1/2018 5:09pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, thigh) is considered questionable for the Week 5 game.

Huddle Up: Goodwin has only been targeted eight times this season and has recorded only 54 yards. His fantasy value has dropped because of the injury to Jimmy Garoppolo and can be benched even if he is active for Week 5.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 9:50pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin turned four targets into two receptions for 24 scoreless yards in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Huddle Up: Unfortunately for owners who spent a middle-round pick on him, this figures to be the norm more than the exception with Jimmy Garoppolo out for the rest of the season. C.J. Beathard performed much better than expected in Week 4, but he's just not as likely to take downfield shots as Garoppolo. While it is far too early to drop Goodwin, he figures to be a WR4 or WR5 moving forward, including Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals.

  • Posted: 9/27/2018 5:30pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) got in a full practice on Thursday, Sept. 27.

Huddle Up: Goodwin returned to action this past Sunday and was solid, recording three catches and a score against the Chiefs. However, he has to be severely downgraded from here on out with Jimmy Garoppolo lost for the season. C.J. Beathard is not the ideal quarterback you want throwing to your fantasy wide-outs.

  • Posted: 9/26/2018 4:37pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 26.

Huddle Up: Goodwin's fantasy value will take a big hit with Jimmy Garoppolo out for the season, but he will remain the team's top receiver. He will be facing a solid Los Angeles Chargers defense this week and may only be a flex option.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 3:15pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin posted three yards on 30 yards with a touchdown on four targets in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Huddle Up: Goodwin was blanked in Week 1, and inactive in Week 2, so this was his first real production for fantasy owners to date. Unfortunately for Goodwin, he might have lost Jimmy Garoppolo to a torn ACL to make Goodwin's immediate fantasy outlook a bit murkier. The 49ers travel to meet the Chargers in Week 4.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 9:03am ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) is officially active for the team's Week 3 game.

Huddle Up: Goodwin is returning after a one-week absence, but it is not known if he will be limited at all during the game. He will have a favorable matchup this week and can be a No. 3 fantasy receiver.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 5:27am ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) is considered a game-time decision for Week 3's contest against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Huddle Up: Goodwin was a limited participant in all three of the team's practice sessions during the week and was listed as questionable on the injury report. If he is active, he has a favorable matchup and would warrant consideration as a WR3 or flex option in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 9/21/2018 1:29pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 3.

Huddle Up: Goodwin appears to have a decent chance to play this week, but owners will need to check the inactive list to make sure. He would have a favorable matchup if he plays and can be a No. 3 fantasy receiver.

  • Posted: 9/20/2018 4:34pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Sept. 20.

Huddle Up: Goodwin didn't suit up last week after having to depart the season-opening contest due to injury, but it looks like the 27-year-old is getting closer to returning. If he plays versus the Chiefs, Goodwin can be a fine WR3 option.

  • Posted: 9/19/2018 4:01pm ET

Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) was officially limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Huddle Up: Goodwin missed the Week 2 game but appears to have a chance to play this week. He would have a favorable matchup if he plays and can be a No. 3 receiver in most leagues.

  • Posted: 9/19/2018 12:54pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) will be a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Huddle Up: Goodwin is dealing with a quadriceps injury, so he'll take it easy during the week. Circle back around and check his official injury report status on Friday before deciding on him as a fantasy option for Week 3.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 11:45am ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) is inactive and won't play Sunday Sept. 16, in the Week 2 game against the Detroit Lions.

Huddle Up: Intriguing ookie Dante Pettis is expected to get the start in Goodwin's place and is flex dart-throw if Goodwin owners are out of better options, but Pierre Garcon is really the only Niners wideout who can be trusted in Week 2 fantasy lineups.

  • Posted: 9/14/2018 2:36pm ET

Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 14, and has been ruled out for Week 2.

Huddle Up: Dante Pettis will be starting in place of Goodwin but probably should be avoided in all leagues. Pierre Garcon may be the only 49ers receiver that can be used in fantasy lineups this week.

  • Posted: 9/13/2018 4:25pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadricep) missed practice for the second straight day Thursday, Sept. 13.

Huddle Up: After logging consecutive missed practices, Goodwin is suddenly looking like he has a good shot of not suiting up on Sunday at home against the Lions. If that is the case, Dante Pettis would get a big boost and start alongside Pierre Garcon, though he'd be more of a WR4.

  • Posted: 9/12/2018 4:41pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to check on Goodwin's status later in the week to see if he has a chance to play in Week 2. He would be a risky option if he is able to play this week but could still be a No. 3 receiver or flex option in some leagues.

  • Posted: 9/10/2018 4:33pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (thigh) is considered day-to-day because of a deep thigh bruise he suffered in Week 1.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to monitor Goodwin's practice participation during the week to see if he has a chance to play in Week 2. He would be facing a solid Detroit Lions secondary but could still be a No. 3 fantasy receiver.

  • Posted: 9/9/2018 2:30pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) was held without a catch in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings and he was targeted just once.

Huddle Up: Goodwin left the game due to a quadriceps injury, although he was able to check back in. He was clearly limited after coming back and rookie Dante Pettis was forced to shoulder a larger load. We'll watch Goodwin's status heading into Week 2 against the Detroit Lions.

  • Posted: 9/9/2018 10:58am ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) suffered a quadriceps injury during the Week 1 game and is considered questionable to return.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to monitor the situation to determine the severity of Goodwin's injury. He is expected to be a valuable target for the 49ers this season but could miss time because of the injury.

  • Posted: 8/25/2018 2:46pm ET

Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (hand) returned to the preseason game Saturday, Aug.25, after missing some time because of a hand injury.

Huddle Up: Goodwin should be fine moving forward and can be considered a No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 8/25/2018 2:38pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (hand) suffered a hand injury during the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 25, and is considered questionable to return.

Huddle Up: Owners should keep an eye on the situation to see the severity of Goodwin's injury. He had a breakout season in 2017 and should be a focal point in the passing game again this season. He should be considered a No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 8/18/2018 7:55pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin caught three passes, including a 40-yard reception, and finished with 61 yards against the Houston Texans in the preseason Saturday, Aug. 18.

Huddle Up: Goodwin showed some chemistry with Jimmy Garoppolo at the end of last season and seems to be picking up where he left off. He has WR3 upside heading into 2018.

  • Posted: 8/14/2018 9:28am ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin has continued to establish himself as the team's top receiver and is 'clearly Jimmy Garoppolo's favorite target,' according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner.

Huddle Up: The drumbeat on Goodwin has been steady throughout camp, and owners need to acknowledge 2018 may be his time after he emerged as a top receiver down the stretch last year. He needs to be considered a WR3 with upside.

  • Posted: 8/9/2018 9:19am ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin appears to be the unquestioned No. 1 wide receiver to the 49ers.

Huddle Up: Goodwin made strides last year, especially after Pierre Garcon went down, en route to a career-high 962 yards. The speedster is a bona fide sleeper candidate in Kyle Shanahan's up-tempo offense, but he's a better fit in standard formats.

  • Posted: 8/2/2018 5:49pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin appears to be building a solid chemistry with QB Jimmy Garoppolo during training camp and caught two passes of at least 40 yards during practice Thursday, Aug. 2.

Huddle Up: Goodwin is coming off a solid 2017 season and should continue to have a significant role in the passing game. He has a chance to be a No. 3 receiver in most leagues because of his big-play ability

  • Posted: 6/13/2018 8:12pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (back) is not practicing because of a sore back, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.

Huddle Up: Goodwin should be fine for the start of training camp and will have a solid role in the passing game after leading the team in receiving yards in 2017. He can be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in all leagues.

  • Posted: 3/8/2018 11:13am ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin agreed to a three-year, $20.3 million contract extension Thursday, March 8, according to a source. The deal includes $10 million guaranteed.

Huddle Up: Goodwin really came on to the fantasy scene last year following Pierre Garcon's neck injury and the addition of Jimmy Garoppolo. As one of the fastest receivers in the NFL, Goodwin complemented Garoppolo's arm strength well on his way to a career-high 962 yards. Garcon will make a healthy return this season and the 49ers could add another pass-catcher, but Goodwin is a viable WR3 in standard leagues, especially if he can increase his 2017 touchdown total (2).

  • Posted: 12/29/2017 4:21pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (back) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 29, but is not on the injury report for Week 17.

Huddle Up: Goodwin has been targeted 31 times over the last three games and has posted at least 99 yards in three of the last four games. He should continue to be the main target in the passing game and can be a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver for fantasy owners.

  • Posted: 12/28/2017 5:47pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (back) was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 28.

Huddle Up: Goodwin should be out there for Sunday's season finale versus the Rams, and considering Los Angeles will be benching many of its starters, he could end up being one of the better value plays on the board. Above all, he's quickly emerged as one of Jimmy Garoppolo's favorite targets, having drawn 31 targets in his last three games.

  • Posted: 12/27/2017 4:48pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (back) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Huddle Up: Goodwin is coming off a disappointing Week 16 performance but should have a better matchup this week. He appears to have a good connection with Jimmy Garoppolo and can be considered a No. 3 fantasy receiver.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 8:09pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin posted three grabs for 37 yards on a team-high six targets in Week 16 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Huddle Up: Goodwin and Jimmy Garoppolo have built a nice rapport together. While it didn't work out for big yardage in this one, the QB looked to him more than any other receiver on the team. This has the chance to be a prolific pass-catch combo in 2018 for fantasy owners.

  • Posted: 12/22/2017 3:01pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (back) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 22, and is not on the injury report for Week 16.

Huddle Up: Goodwin has been targeted 25 times over the last two games and has recorded 220 yards during the span. He will be facing one of the best pass defenses in the NFL this week but could still be a No. 3 receiver or flex option.

  • Posted: 12/21/2017 5:30pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (back) returned to practice Thursday, Dec. 21, and was a limited participant.

Huddle Up: Goodwin should be on everyone's radar right now, as the 27-year-old has become a huge factor with Jimmy Garoppolo under center. In fact, Goodwin has hauled in 16 catches on a whopping 25 targets in the last two games alone for 220 yards. He only has one touchdown for the year but he should tack on at least one more before season's end based on his heavy volume.

  • Posted: 12/20/2017 7:03pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (back, non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Huddle Up: Owners should check on Goodwin's status later in the week to see if he will be able to play. He has posted consecutive 100-yard performances and appears to have a good chemistry with Jimmy Garoppolo. He will be facing one of the best pass defenses in the NFL this week but could still be at least a flex option for owners.

  • Posted: 12/18/2017 5:11am ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin had 10 catches for 114 yards Sunday, Dec. 17, against the Tennessee Titans.

Huddle Up: Goodwin has 28 catches for 397 yards over the last four weeks, and he has emerged as a WR3 the rest of the way.

  • Posted: 12/12/2017 2:11pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin has already tallied 783 yards in 13 games this year. His previous career high was 431 yards in 2016.

Huddle Up: Goodwin was having a good season already, but Jimmy Garoppolo has really propelled the fifth-year receiver. Over his last three games the speedster has averaged 94.3 yards as Jimmy G's favorite target. Don't count on Goodwin to duplicate his season with Pierre Garcon returning from injury, but he's startable in the fantasy playoffs.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 6:31pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin caught six passes on 12 targets for 106 yards in a 26-16 win over the Houston Texans in Week 14.

Huddle Up: Goodwin was already trending up with Pierre Garcon out for the year, and in two games with Jimmy Garoppolo under center, he has 14 catches for 205 yards. Goodwin should be picked up in all formats at this point, and he can make a serviceable WR3.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 3:05pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin racked up eight receptions for 99 yards on his eight targets in Week 13 against the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: Goodwin fell just short of his second 100-yard game of the season, but the good news is he didn't seem to show any ill effects of the foot injury he suffered last week. He has an NFL-caliber quarterback under center in Jimmy Garoppolo and Goodwin could finish the season strong for his growing legion of fantasy owners.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 3:57pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (foot) left the Week 12 game against the Seattle Seahawk due to a foot injury and he is questionable to return.

Huddle Up: It's uncertain if Goodwin suffered a serious injury or if he'll be available for Week 13. However, he should only be targeted as a WR4 or WR5 in most fantasy leagues at this point.

  • Posted: 11/12/2017 8:09pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin finished with one grab for 83 yards and a touchdown in Week 10 against the New York Giants on his two targets.

Huddle Up: Goodwin had an emotional time after the big touchdown, which came just hours after he and his wife lost their newborn baby son due to pregnancy complications.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 7:30pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin posted two grabs for 68 yards on eight targets in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Huddle Up: If you're going to go fishing for a 49ers receiver for fantasy purposes, Goodwin is about the only player worth grabbing. He has 60 or more receiving yards in four of his past seven outings. Still, he has been a bit erratic and he remains useful mostly as a WR4 or flex play in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 4:34pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (ankle) was targeted three times in Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles, but he finished with zero receptions.

Huddle Up: Goodwin was listed as questionable due to an ankle injury, so perhaps that's why he was not quite himself. He entered the game with 11 catches and 222 yards in his previous three outings.
