Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron caught three passes for 31 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 7.

Huddle Up: Ebron was targeted at least seven times for the fifth consecutive game but saw his three-game touchdown streak snapped. He will continue to start as long as Jack Doyle is sidelined and could be a low-end No. 1 tight end next week.

  • Posted: 10/20/2018 7:59pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron has been isolated on the back side of defenses this year as a way to take advantage of his athleticism, according to head coach Frank Reich. 'It's like clearing it out for LeBron or something, in basketball; just get everybody on one side of the court and get this guy one-on-one,' Reich said.

Huddle Up: Ebron has six touchdowns in six games this year, and he looks like a different player since leaving Detroit. Injuries to the receiving corps have boosted his usage, but the Colts seem to know how to utilize Ebron, and he looks like a TE1 for the foreseeable future.

  • Posted: 10/14/2018 6:11pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron caught four of his seven targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in a 42-34 loss to the New York Jets in Week 6, and he has five touchdowns in five games this year.

Huddle Up: Ebron has been Andrew Luck's go-to target in the red zone, and he's a TE1 as long as Jack Doyle remains sidelined.

  • Posted: 10/12/2018 12:57pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron (ankle, knee, quadriceps, shin) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 12, but is listed as questionable for Week 6.

Huddle Up: Ebron may be a game-time decision this week, so owners will need to check the inactive list for his official status. He has been targeted at least 10 times in each of his last three games and could be a low-end No. 1 tight end if he plays.

  • Posted: 10/12/2018 9:07am ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron (shin, quad, ankle, knee) returned to practice Friday, Oct. 12, after missing the first two sessions of the week.

Huddle Up: With Indianapolis missing T.Y. Hilton and Jack Doyle for at least one more game, Ebron should have a clear path to 10-plus targets again. As such, owners should expect him to produce like a top-10 tight end.

  • Posted: 10/11/2018 1:16pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron (ankle, knee, quadriceps, shin) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 11.

Huddle Up: It looks like Ebron will not be able to play this week, but owners can keep an eye on the situation. Erik Swoope could receive a bigger role in Week 6 but should not an option for owners.

  • Posted: 10/10/2018 2:10pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron (shin, quadriceps, ankle, knee) was unable to practice Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Huddle Up: Ebron is dealing with several injuries and he is a question mark for Sunday. With Jack Doyle also sidelined, Erik Swoope and Ryan Hewitt could see a larger than anticipated role in Week 6.

  • Posted: 10/4/2018 8:36pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron caught nine passes on 15 targets for 105 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-24 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 5.

Huddle Up: Ebron now has five touchdowns in five games this season, and while you can't always count on this type of yardage total, he does look like a TE1 as long as Jack Doyle remains sidelined.

  • Posted: 10/3/2018 12:56pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron (knee) participated fully in practice Wednesday, Oct. 3.

Huddle Up: Again, Ebron is a recommended start with the absence of Jack Doyle.

  • Posted: 10/1/2018 1:46pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron (knee) was a full practice participant Monday, Oct. 1.

Huddle Up: Ebron will be fine and can serve as a TE1 for a second straight week if Jack Doyle remains sidelined.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 6:28pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron hauled in five receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in the Week 4 game against the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: Ebron has taken advantage of the absence of Jack Doyle, and he now might see an even larger role with T.Y. Hilton unlikely for Thursday's game against the New England Patriots due to a hamstring issue. He has low-end TE1 ability in Week 5.

  • Posted: 9/26/2018 1:39pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron (shoulder, knee) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 26 due to a shoulder and knee ailment.

Huddle Up: It's uncertain if Ebron's injuries are serious enough to keep him sidelined or if he is just being held out since Jack Doyle (hip) is out and could miss more time. We'll know much more about Ebron's status Thursday and especially Friday when the official injury report comes out.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 7:12pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron finished with five receptions for 33 yards on 11 targets in the Week 3 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Huddle Up: Andrew Luck looked to Ebron early and often in the road loss, but they just weren't able to hook up more than five times. Still, it's a good sign for Ebron, as he was targeted a bunch with Jack Doyle on the mend. As long as Doyle is out, Ebron could sneak into TE1 range. The Colts host the Texans in Week 4.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 1:32pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron posted three receptions, 26 yards and a touchdown on four targets in Week 2 against the Washington Redskins.

Huddle Up: Ebron has fit in nicely with the Colts, connecting with Andrew Luck for a touchdown in each of the first two games. The former Lions tight end has Jack Doyle to contend with for targets, and health has always been an issue for Ebron. Despite Doyle's presence, Ebron is a low-end TE1 if he can stay on the field. The Colts travel to meet the Eagles in Week 3.

  • Posted: 9/9/2018 1:54pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron racked up four receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown in the Week 1 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Huddle Up: Ebron was impressive in his team debut, jelling rather nicely with Andrew Luck. He still had half as many targets and nine fewer yards than Jack Doyle. As long as both remain healthy, Ebron is more of a TE2 for fantasy owners. The Colts travel to meet the Redskins in Week 2.

  • Posted: 6/18/2018 10:54am ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron was one of the more impressive players during offseason workouts and could have an impact in the passing game this season, in the opinion of the Indianapolis Star's Stephen Holder.

Huddle Up: Ebron likely will have a solid role in the passing game in 2018 even if he is not the starting tight end and could be a target in the red zone. He has a chance to be a No. 2 fantasy tight end in some leagues.

  • Posted: 6/8/2018 7:19pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron said he looks forward to playing with QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) because he is 'always open' in head coach Frank Reich's offensive system.

Huddle Up: A change of scenery and Andrew Luck could help Ebron finally reach his potential, but he remains a boom-or-bust TE2 candidate for now.

  • Posted: 5/17/2018 7:09pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron could be the 'de facto third receiver' this year, according to Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com.

Huddle Up: Ebron has teased fantasy owners with his upside since entering the league. There is always a chance Andrew Luck could finally unlock Ebron's potential, but he is no more than a flier as a TE2.

  • Posted: 3/29/2018 7:33pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron is an 'elite' player at his position, according to head coach Frank Reich, and Reich expects Ebron to be able to exploit man coverages.

Huddle Up: Ebron has been teasing fantasy owners with his physical tools since coming into the NFL, but he's yet live up to the hype. Feel free to gamble on him as an upside TE2, but Ebron's move to Indianapolis is likely to hurt Jack Doyle's fantasy value more than it will help his own.

  • Posted: 3/19/2018 5:54pm ET

Free-agent TE Eric Ebron (Lions) signed a two-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts worth a maximum value of $15 million on Monday, March 19, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Huddle Up: This is a curious signing for the Colts, if only because tight end isn't necessarily a need for the team (Jack Doyle) and Ebron isn't a particularly good blocker. Indianapolis was one of the worst places for Ebron from a fantasy perspective, as he seems unlikely to beat out Doyle. Even if the Colts play more two-tight sets than any other team in the league in 2018, Ebron will likely struggle to maintain TE2 value while also hurting Doyle's case for TE1 status.

  • Posted: 3/19/2018 6:43am ET

Free-agent TE Eric Ebron (Lions) is visiting the Indianapolis Colts Monday, March 19.

Huddle Up: Ebron has all the physical talent, but he has been oft-injured and a fantasy bust since he entered the league. There is still time to put it together, and he's worth monitoring as a TE2.

  • Posted: 3/15/2018 4:59pm ET

Free-agent TE Eric Ebron (Lions) may have a meeting with the New England Patriots, according to a source.

Huddle Up: The Patriots may be looking for a tight end because Rob Gronkowski's future is uncertain. Ebron probably would have a solid role in the passing game if he joined the Patriots and could be a No. 2 fantasy tight end.

  • Posted: 3/15/2018 4:58pm ET

Free-agent TE Eric Ebron (Lions) is scheduled to meet with the Indianapolis Colts Sunday, March 18, according to a source.

Huddle Up: The Colts have Jack Doyle on the roster, but Ebron would bring another target to the team's passing game if he joins the Colts. Ebron should have a solid role for a team next season and could be a No. 2 fantasy tight end.

  • Posted: 3/15/2018 1:01pm ET

Free-agent TE Eric Ebron (Lions) is receiving some interest from the Baltimore Ravens.

Huddle Up: Ebron has posted decent numbers over the last few seasons and likely would start for the Ravens if he signed with them. Ebron probably will be a No. 2 fantasy tight end no matter where he plays in 2018.

  • Posted: 3/14/2018 12:18pm ET

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron was released Wednesday, March 14.

Huddle Up: Ebron has underachieved throughout his four-year career. His years were numbered in Detroit, but he could find a rejuvenated career if he is signed into the right situation. As of now, Darren Fells carries more fantasy value in Detroit, but they could add to the position.

  • Posted: 12/29/2017 1:37pm ET

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 29, and is not on the injury report for Week 17.

Huddle Up: Ebron has been a big part in the passing game recently with 26 targets over the last three games. He has recorded at least 83 yards in two of his last three games and has a touchdown in each of the last two games. Ebron can be considered a low-end No. 1 fantasy tight end this week.

  • Posted: 12/28/2017 2:04pm ET

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 28.

Huddle Up: Ebron has been more involved in the passing game lately and has caught a touchdown in each of the last two games. He can be considered a low-end No. 1 fantasy tight end against the Green Bay Packers this week.

  • Posted: 12/27/2017 10:05pm ET

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron (knee) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Huddle Up: Taken by itself, Ebron's limited work on a Wednesday might not be cause for concern, but remember the Lions just signed TE Hakeem Valles to the active roster as well. With nothing on the line the team won't push Ebron to play, but if he's a go he's in a tasty matchup against a Packers defense that is both vulnerable and playing out the string. Keep an eye on the situation.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 4:27pm ET

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron finished with five receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown in Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Huddle Up: Ebron has posted 20 receptions for 210 yards and two touchdowns over the past three games, as he finishes up strong. He has been a lightning rod for angry fans in Motown over his career, but he has really started to come on lately.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 7:09pm ET

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron racked up 10 receptions for 94 yards on 11 targets in Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Huddle Up: Ebron has been a disappointment for most of his career but he has really started to come on lately. He has four or more receptions in each of the past four outings, totaling 22 receptions. This was his biggest production, though, by far. He is still more of a TE2 in most fantasy leagues until this becomes the norm.

  • Posted: 11/23/2017 5:15pm ET

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron caught four passes for 34 yards against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12.

Huddle Up: Ebron has been fairly consistent for the past month in terms of his stats but does have one touchdown during that span. Owners probably should consider Ebron as a No. 2 fantasy tight end.

  • Posted: 11/19/2017 2:36pm ET

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron managed four receptions for 49 yards on seven targets in Week 11 against the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: Ebron has emerged as a low-end TE1 in deeper fantasy leagues with two or more grabs in four straight outings while posting at least 35 yards in each of the contests. The Lions host the Vikings on Thanksgiving in Week 12. He had two grabs for 27 yards in Week 4 in the first meeting with Minnesota.

  • Posted: 11/7/2017 8:23am ET

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron didn't start Monday, Nov. 6, for the first time this season.

Huddle Up: He ended up catching three balls for 35 yards while starter Darren Fells caught just one pass for 10 yards. Neither are producing enough to be worth starting in fantasy, and maybe Ebron figures it out eventually. If you need the space, he can be cut loose.

  • Posted: 11/3/2017 9:15pm ET

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron's chances of being traded before the deadline were exaggerated, according to head coach Jim Caldwell, and Caldwell said he expects Ebron's production to improve as the season goes on.

Huddle Up: Ebron has been a non-factor in the offense for much of the year, and he will need a few weeks of improved production before he can be considered anything more than a low-end TE2.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 8:53pm ET

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron had a pair of receptions for 58 yards in the second half of the Week 8 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Huddle Up: Ebron, the subject of trade rumors heading into Tuesday's deadline, might have boosted his stock a little bit, especially with his second grab which covered 44 yards. Regardless of where he finishes this season, he is nothing more than a low-end TE2 in most fantasy leagues until he shows more consistency.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 7:04am ET

Updating a previous report, Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron is actively being shopped to other teams and likely will be moved before the trade deadline, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Ebron has posted only 13 catches and 102 yards so far this season, so the Lions probably would only receive a late-round pick if they decide to trade him. He has had success in the past but should only be considered a No. 2 fantasy tight end no matter where he plays.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 5:24am ET

Multiple teams have reportedly contacted the Detroit Lions to discuss trading for TE Eric Ebron.

Huddle Up: The 24-year-old Ebron has just 13 receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown through six games this season and has been overshadowed by teammate Darren Fells, who has three touchdowns in his last two games. Ebron is not worth starting in any fantasy format at this point due to inconsistency.
