New England Patriots RB James White rushed 11 times for a team-high 40 yards in Week 7 against the Chicago Bears and he added eight receptions for 57 yards and two scores on a team-high 10 targets.

Huddle Up: White was a fantasy stud, torching the Bears on pass routes out of the backfield and making people miss. He'll look to keep it up in Week 8 in another road game on Monday night in Buffalo.

  • Posted: 10/14/2018 10:07pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White ran for 39 yards on six carries and added 53 yards on five receptions (seven targets) in Week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Huddle Up: It's a bit surprising given the shootout nature of this game that White didn't find the end zone for the fourth straight game, but he was due for some regression after entering Week 6 on pace for 102 catches, 864 receiving yards and 16 total touchdowns. This kind of production is about what owners should expect moving forward. He is a favorite of Tom Brady, however, so he will remain a key part of the offense. White should be considered a high-end RB2 in PPR leagues in Week 7 against the Chicago Bears.

  • Posted: 10/4/2018 10:21pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White caught 10 passes for 77 yards and a touchdown in Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Huddle Up: White's 14 targets were five more than anyone else, and he has now scored a receiving TD in four of New England's five games. It wouldn't be shocking to see his role scaled back a bit with Julian Edelman returning and Josh Gordon getting more comfortable in the offense, but you have to ride the hot hand. In PPR formats, White is a legit RB2.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 7:07pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White rushed eight times for 44 yards and a touchdown and caught eight passes on 10 targets for 68 yards and another touchdown in a 38-7 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 4.

Huddle Up: White has now caught a touchdown in three of the first four games, and with Rex Burkhead sidelined, he should remain one of Tom Brady's favorite targets. White has RB2 upside in PPR formats heading into a Week 5 matchup against Indianapolis.

  • Posted: 9/29/2018 6:56pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White said he is prepared for whatever role is thrown at him in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins. 'If it is one snap or 60 snaps, you prepare hard in practice and be ready for any moment because you never know how the game is going to go for any of us,' White said.

Huddle Up: With all the injuries in New England's backfield, White should see some carries in addition to his role as third-down back. He's a solid flex play in PPR formats.

  • Posted: 9/9/2018 6:37pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White rushed five times for 18 yards in the Week 1 game against the Houston Texans while he added four receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown.

Huddle Up: The diminutive White is very versatile out of the backfield, but his biggest value to fantasy owners are his soft hands catching the football. He is a decent low-end RB3 in PPR formats. The Patriots will travel to meet the Jaguars in Week 2.

  • Posted: 1/13/2018 9:51pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White rushed four times for 11 yards and a touchdown and caught four passes for 29 yards and a score in a 35-14 win over the Tennessee Titans Saturday, Jan. 13.

Huddle Up: White didn't score during the regular season, but he now has five touchdowns in his last two postseason games. Dion Lewis is the safest bet in New England's backfield, but if Rex Burkhead and Mike Gillislee remain sidelined next weekend, White could be a sneaky DFS play.

  • Posted: 1/13/2018 3:54pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White (ankle) is officially active for the Divisional Round playoff game against the Tennessee Titans.

Huddle Up: White will serve as the team's No. 2 running back and should be used in the passing game. He can be a flex option for owners in most leagues.

  • Posted: 1/13/2018 7:21am ET

New England Patriots RB James White (ankle) is expected to play in the team's Divisional Round playoff game against the Tennessee Titans Saturday, Jan. 13.

Huddle Up: White was listed as questionable on the injury report but was a limited participant in all three practice sessions during the week. He is worthy of consideration as a flex option in PPR fantasy formats, with RBs Rex Burkhead (knee) and Mike Gillislee (knee) appearing likely to be held out of the game.

New England Patriots RB James White (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Jan. 11, and is listed as questionable for the Divisional Round playoff game against the Tennessee Titans.

New England Patriots RB James White (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 10.

Huddle Up: White has been able to practice the last several weeks but sat out the final two regular season games. He probably will be active for the Divisional Round playoff game and should be involved in the passing game. He can be a flex option in some fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 1/7/2018 10:39am ET

New England Patriots RB James White (ankle) said he expects to be available for the Divisional Round playoff game.

Huddle Up: White missed the last few regular season games because of the injury but probably will be in uniform next week. He likely will be involved in the passing game if he plays and can be a flex option in fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/31/2017 6:31am ET

New England Patriots RB James White (ankle) is not expected to play in Week 17's game against the New York Jets, according to a league source.

Huddle Up: White was listed as questionable on the injury report and had been a limited practice participant throughout the week. With RBs Rex Burkhead and Mike Gillislee also sidelined, expect Brandon Bolden to serve as the backup to Dion Lewis this afternoon. Lewis is worthy of consideration as a RB2 in most leagues, while Bolden should be avoided.

  • Posted: 12/28/2017 1:39pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 28.

Huddle Up: White was held out of the team's Week 16 game, so his status for Week 17 is uncertain at this point. He would be involved in the passing game if he plays, but owners probably should look for other options to start in their leagues.

  • Posted: 12/27/2017 3:30pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Huddle Up: White did not play last week because of the injury and could sit again so he would have extended time to rest his ankle. Owners probably should avoid White even if he plays.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 7:29am ET

New England Patriots RB James White (ankle) is not expected to play in Week 16's game against the Buffalo Bills, according to multiple sources.

Huddle Up: White was listed as questionable on the injury report and was a limited practice participant throughout the week. If he is deactivated, expect RB Mike Gillislee to see increased playing time this afternoon.

  • Posted: 12/22/2017 1:38pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 22, and is listed as questionable for Week 16.

Huddle Up: White probably will be used mostly as a receiver this week against the Buffalo Bills and could be a flex option in point-per-reception leagues.

  • Posted: 12/21/2017 3:44pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 21.

Huddle Up: White probably will be used mostly as a receiver out of the backfield if he is able to play in Week 16. He can be a flex option in deeper point-per-reception leagues.

  • Posted: 12/20/2017 3:51pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Huddle Up: White has seen limited touches over the last several weeks but may be more involved with Rex Burkhead sidelined. He has a chance to be a flex option in some deeper point-per-reception leagues.

  • Posted: 12/11/2017 10:13pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White did not have any rushing stats but he did manage to haul in three of four targets for 11 receiving yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 14 loss Monday, Dec. 11, against the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: Interestingly, this was White's first game of the season in which he did not log a single rush attempt, though luckily he was still active in the passing game, nabbing at least three receptions for the tenth time in 13 games. Due to his inconsistency in the offense, though, he's more of a FLEX option for deeper formats.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 1:55pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White rushed five times for 18 yards in Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills and he added 32 yards on four receptions. He was targeted six times.

Huddle Up: White's scrimmage yard total was his most since Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers when he had 87 total yards. He is still only worth a look as a RB4 at this point, as Rex Burkhead has flown past him on the depth chart.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 6:57pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White caught five passes for a team-high 85 yards in a 21-13 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 8.

Huddle Up: White continues to be a monster catching passes out of the backfield, and he is in on pace for more than 80 receptions. His yardage totals fluctuate, but he is still a quality flex play in PPR formats.
