Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but he said he wants to remain with Miami. 'I'm confident this is where I want to be,' Williams said. 'They understand that.'

Huddle Up: Williams suffered a shoulder injury late in the year, allowing Kenyan Drake to grab the reins in the Miami backfield. If Williams is back with the Dolphins in 2018, he will likely open the year as the No. 2 option behind Drake.

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 28.

Huddle Up: Williams has a chance to be active for Week 17 but probably would serve as the No. 2 running back and see limited touches. Owners in all leagues should avoid him even if he plays.

  • Posted: 12/27/2017 3:54pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Huddle Up: Williams appears to have a chance to play in Week 17 but would only see limited touches since Kenyan Drake has taken over as the starter. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/22/2017 12:09pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 22, but is listed as doubtful for Week 16.

Huddle Up: Williams likely will be sidelined for at least another game, so Kenyan Drake will continue to receive a majority of the work at running back. He has rushed for at least 78 yards in each of the last three games and has two touchdowns during that span. He should be considered a No. 2 running back in all leagues.

  • Posted: 12/16/2017 2:06pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (illness, shoulder) did not travel with the team for their Week 15 game and has been ruled out.

Huddle Up: Kenyan Drake will receive most of the carries against the Buffalo Bills and can be a No. 2 running back or flex option in all leagues.

  • Posted: 12/15/2017 12:35pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (illness, shoulder) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 15, and is listed as doubtful for Week 15.

Huddle Up: Williams probably will not be able to play this week, so owners in all leagues should avoid him. Kenyan Drake will continue to receive most of the work at running back and can be a No. 2 running back or a flex option for owners.

  • Posted: 12/14/2017 2:09pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 14.

Huddle Up: It appears that Williams may have a chance to play in Week 15, so owners should monitor the situation. Kenyan Drake has played well since Williams suffered his injury, so Williams could see limited touches if he plays. Owners in most leagues probably can find better options and avoid Williams.

  • Posted: 12/13/2017 3:06pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Huddle Up: Williams has been dealing with the injury for several weeks and probably will need to practice at some point this week if he wants a chance to play in Week 15. Kenyan Drake has been playing well since Williams has been sidelined and can be a No. 2 fantasy running back if he starts again.

  • Posted: 12/9/2017 1:46pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) did not participate in practice Saturday, Dec. 9, and has been ruled out for Week 14.

Huddle Up: Kenyan Drake will receive most of the work at running back with Williams still sidelined. He will be facing an improving New England Patriots defense but can be a flex option in some leagues.

  • Posted: 12/8/2017 2:05pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 8.

Huddle Up: Williams probably will miss another game and can be avoided in all fantasy leagues. Kenyan Drake should receive most of the work at running back and could be a flex option in some deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 12/7/2017 2:09pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 7.

Huddle Up: Williams was not able to play last week and could miss another game if he does not practice this week. Kenyan Drake likely will continue to receive most of the carries and can be at least a flex option.

  • Posted: 12/7/2017 9:11am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) is not expected to practice Thursday, Dec. 7.

Huddle Up: Williams could miss Week 14 as he was projected to miss two or three weeks with his shoulder injury. Kenyan Drake starred last week, but the 'Phins play the New England Patriots. If the game gets out of hand, his carries could be limited. Drake is a flex option with some volatility.

  • Posted: 12/1/2017 12:45pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 1, and has been ruled out for Week 13.

Huddle Up: Kenyan Drake probably will receive most of the work at running back with Williams out. He has not done much with his limited touches this season but could be a flex option in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 11/30/2017 2:06pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 30.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to check later in the week to see if Williams has a chance to play, but owners should look for other options for their lineups. Kenyan Drake probably would receive most of the work at running back if Williams sits and could be at least a flex option.

  • Posted: 11/29/2017 3:45pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 29, due to a shoulder injury suffered in Week 12.

Huddle Up: Williams is a question mark for the upcoming game against the Denver Broncos. If Williams cannot play it would be Kenyan Drake doing the heavy lifting, although it's a bit of a rough matchup against a sturdy Broncos rush defense.

  • Posted: 11/27/2017 6:24am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) is expected to miss Week 13, and potentially longer, with a shoulder injury suffered Sunday, Nov. 26.

Huddle Up: Senorise Perry (concussion) was also injured, and Kenyan Drake was the last running back available. He figures to see the bulk of the work next week, but the team should pick up a back or two to divvy up some of the work. Drake will be a flex play against a Denver Broncos team that can't move the football next week.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 4:38pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams rushed eight times for a team-high 38 yards in Week 12 against the New England Patriots and he tacked on 14 yards on three receptions.

Huddle Up: Williams is averaging 6.4 yards per rush over the past two games, and he has 154 total yards scrimmage. That's not great, but he is at least worthy of fantasy consideration as a RB3 or flex play heading into Week 13.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 12:41pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury in Week 12 and will not return to the game.

Huddle Up: Williams has been sharing playing time with Kenyan Drake over the last few weeks, but Drake likely would receive most of the work if Williams misses an extended period of time. Drake could be a flex option in some deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 11/19/2017 5:36pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams carried 10 times for 78 yards in Week 11 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he added one reception for 24 yards on his only target.

Huddle Up: The rushing numbers are skewed a bit, as one of his runs was good for 69 yards and then he had nine yards on his other nine attempts. Still, it was much better than Kenyan Drake, who was held to four rushing yards on seven carries. The battle for the top RB spot in Miami continues, and Williams easily won this round.

  • Posted: 11/19/2017 9:42am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams will be the starting running back for Week 11's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Huddle Up: Williams will get the starting nod this afternoon even though he has clearly been outplayed by Kenyan Drake recently. Both players have eight receptions over the last two weeks but Williams has 16 carries for 33 rushing yards while Drake has 16 carries for 151 rushing yards and one touchdown in that stretch. Drake should still receive enough touches today to be worthy of consideration as a RB2 or flex option in all fantasy formats, while Williams should be viewed as nothing more than a flex option in PPR leagues only.

  • Posted: 11/16/2017 6:57pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams will continue to split carries with RB Kenyan Drake, according to offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen.

Huddle Up: Williams has managed just 33 yards on 16 carries the last two games while Drake has rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown on the same number of carries. Although Williams will remain involved, Drake is the only Miami back worth starting right now.

  • Posted: 11/16/2017 6:49pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake is worthy of more carries, according to offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen, but Christensen said the formula with Drake and RB Damien Williams will not change.

Huddle Up: Although Drake has been the better runner by a wide margin, both he and Williams have received 16 carries each over the last two games. Splitting carries limits Drake's ceiling, but he has done more than enough with his touches to be considered a flex play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11.

  • Posted: 11/16/2017 10:12am ET

Miami Dolphins RBs Kenyan Drake and Damien Williams will continue to split touches, according to offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen.

Huddle Up: Drake has earned the lead role in Miami's backfield, but the Dolphins aren't giving it to him yet. Not only is Drake a bigger playmaker, Williams has only averaged 3.1 yards per carry in his career. The former is a solid RB2 play in a great matchup this week. The latter is more of a PPR flex.

  • Posted: 11/13/2017 10:06pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams could only manage 19 rushing yards on nine carries in the team's Week 10 loss Monday, Nov. 13, versus the Carolina Panthers. He also had two receptions for 20 yards.

Huddle Up: Williams may have received more carries if the game didn't get so out of hand in the second half, but regardless, he's clearly getting outplayed by teammate Kenyan Drake, who had 82 yards on just seven carries. Thus, it's hard to trust Williams right now in any format, as Drake will probably be receiving more work from here on out.

  • Posted: 11/13/2017 4:43pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (illness) is listed as the starting running back against the Carolina Panthers in Week 10.

Huddle Up: Williams will share snaps with Kenyan Drake during the game and should be involved in the running and passing game. He can be considered a flex option in point-per-reception leagues but is not a must-start option.

  • Posted: 11/11/2017 11:40am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (illness) fully participated in practice Saturday, Nov. 11, but is listed as questionable for Week 10.

Huddle Up: Williams should have a good chance to play against the Carolina Panthers after returning to practice Saturday. He would share playing time with Kenyan Drake if he is active and would be involved in the running and passing game. He has recorded 49 rushing yards and 97 receiving yards this season but probably should only be considered as a flex option.

  • Posted: 11/10/2017 2:08pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (illness) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 10.

Huddle Up: Owners should know more about Williams' status after practice Saturday, Nov. 11. Williams received 13 total touches in Week 9 and shared work with Kenyan Drake. He likely would be involved in the running and passing game if he plays in Week 10, but owners may want to use other options in their lineups because of his uncertain status.

  • Posted: 11/9/2017 9:20am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (illness) is out of practice Thursday, Nov. 9, due to illness.

Huddle Up: He should be able to recover in time to play the Carolina Panthers Monday night. It's a rough matchup, though, as they're one of the best teams the last five weeks against the position. He's a flex option in PPR formats.

  • Posted: 11/6/2017 5:32am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams had seven carries for 14 yards and six catches for 47 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 Sunday, Nov. 5.

Huddle Up: Williams and Kenyan Drake had a pretty close split with Drake having two more carries, but he also lost a fumble. Williams could see more run and is a good RB3 option in PPR leagues.

  • Posted: 11/2/2017 9:21am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams will serve as the goal line and third down back, according to offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen.

Huddle Up: Williams is a fringe player to own in fantasy, and he mostly serves as depth or Kenyan Drake insurance.
