Between a torn labrum and now changing his name, Ocho Cinco 2008 just smacks of someone to avoid in drafts. He's no less egotistical and yet much less healthy. |

His suspension is now just one game -do NOT let that bother you. Marshall is the best weapon in Denver and is Cultler's favorite receiver. |

Just when you drafted Kevin Curtis, he suffers a sports hernia with an "undetermined" return date. It will be weeks at the least and could end up IR depending on how well he recovers. That shifts the depth chart around a bit in Philly and likely helps out DeSean Jackson the most. He is far too small to be a starting wideout but he evidently has not gotten that memo since he's been sharp in preseason games. |

The Bengals signed Chris Henry again but he cannot play for the first four games because of his most recent suspension. That only muddies up the #3 picture in CIN that may offer very little fantasy production this year. |

Just a minor tweak to reflect that Coles has not been happy and has not been a "team player" with the addition of Favre (and release of Pennington). Cotchery is fast becoming the safer bet though do not underestimate what Coles could do with a strong-armed quarterback. |

The rookie Josh Morgan gets a bump up with impressive training camp and preseason games. It is still a mishmash in San Francisco and no wideout is likely to post big numbers but Morgan is making a name on a team desperately searching for anyone to step up. |

Other than Brandon Marshall who missed the first couple of games, the depth charts are ever changing in Denver for wideouts. What cannot be refuted is that the rookie Eddie Royal has looked and played better than any of the other veterans. Royal has more upside and should be the second Denver wideout taken in a dynasty league. He just continues to impress. |

Bobby Engram has a cracked bone in his shoulder and will miss four to six weeks. That digs at least a couple of weeks into the regular season and there's no telling how healed he will be at first. Engram is also one of the oldest wideouts in the NFL and starting out with an injury is not welcomed. Nate Burleson gets a slight bump up as does Obamanu. Courtney Taylor may become a bigger issue as well though with minimal fantasy value. |

The first round pick of the Saints in 2007 never played thanks to a host of injuries but he is quickly making his name known again when he had four catches for 129 yards and a score against the Cardinals. He has been impressive in camp and now in a game. David Patten remains the starting flanker but Meacham is wrapping up the #3 and could end up as the #2 which was the intention when he was drafted last year. |

The addition of Brett Favre should impact the wideouts more than any other position on the team. Cotchery and Coles still have to gain chemistry in a hurry with Favre but it is a clear upgrade over Pennington or Clemens. |

The suspension of Brandon Marshall for two or three games obviously depresses his totals and boosts both Darrell Jackson and Keary Colbert who should both start in those games. Eddie Royal has also been looking good in camp and could be making a move on the #3 or #4 spot on the depth chart. |

Harrison isn't supposed to play in the HOF game tonight but reports are that he is running and cutting and should be ready to go. He still remains a huge risk with undeniable (if not optimistic) upside. His ranking reflects that he should be anything more than a WR3 on your team but he is being drafted earlier than that by speculative team owners. |

Since Jurevicius is expected to open the season on the PUP list because of his knee, he drops deeply and is not worth drafting. Josh Cribbs is the most likely to assume the #3 role but that will shake out during training camp. |

Porter had to undergo surgery to repair a torn hamstring and is expected to miss the entire preseason as he heals. That certainly dings him since he needs the time with Garrard. He is hoped to be back in time for week one but as the date draws near, his ranking is more likely to drop than to rise. This ranking is more about what he could do for your team later in the year. |
